He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and moved to this area nine years ago from Cleveland, Ohio. He was a retired manager for Lyons Transportation, Cleveland, for 20 years. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force pilot and first lieutenant, a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, Cleveland Traffic Club, Sertoma Club and High Point Golf Club. He was a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include a son, Barry Riebau of Brooksville; a daughter, Sharon Jordan of Brooksville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the Connecticut National Guard and attended Calvary Church of the Nazarene, where he was a choir member.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving as lieutenant in the 94th Infantry Division and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart with oak leaf clusters. He attended Cornell Hotel School and was a graduate of St. John's University, New York. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Victor J. Scinto Sr., 74, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Port Chester, N.Y., and moved to this area eight years ago from Rye, N.Y. He was a master mechanic and educator at the Union School, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He served with the 54th Engineers, 2nd Infantry in Korea, receiving the Korean Campaign Ribbon, four battle stars and U.N. recognition. He is listed among the Korean veterans on the plaque in Rye, N.Y. In 2003, he was presented with the Freedom Medal in Tampa by Mayor Greco, and other officials included those from the Korean government and representatives from the United Nations. He was a member of Local 137, International Union of Operating Engineers, and past member of American Veterans No. 40, Elks Lodge 1456 and the National Rifle Association. He was the top fundraiser in Westchester County, N.Y., for the March of Dimes and Diabetes Association.
