Donald F. Collins Sr., 85, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area eight years ago from Cocoa Beach. He was a retired aeronautical engineer, a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran, and a member of Mariner United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joann; two sons, Harold Collins of Covington, La., and Donald Collins Jr. of Mandeville, La.; five daughters, Donna Collins of Cocoa Beach, Patrice Morse of Merritt Island, Sharmon Walder of California, Christine Fletcher of Mandeville, and Dorothy Ferrara of St. Joseph, Mich.; a sister, Maxine Ammerman of Rose Lake, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Ann L. McKay, 86, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Ambridge, Pa., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Lewiston, Mich. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Richard George McKay of Spring Hill; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert W. Grant, 82, of Brooksville, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area eight years ago from Boca Raton. He was an accomplished writer and was considered a semi-pro golfer. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, a fighter pilot in the European Theatre and flew C-47 aircrafts during the Berlin airlift.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; a daughter, Casey Grant of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Terry Grant of Ojai, Calif., and Rory Grant of Hawaii; and a grandson, Nick Grant of Pensacola.

Paul W. Delaney, 44, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area six months ago from Cape Coral. He coached the Cape Coral Cyclones and the Girls Youth Soccer Team, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his mother, Gloria; two sons, Paul Jr. and Eric Delaney, both of Cape Coral; a daughter, Sarah of Cape Coral; and two sisters, Mary Thompson of Duxbury, Mass., and Janet Spiegel of St. Petersburg.

Emil Torres Jr., 52, of Bushnell, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003.
He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area six years ago from Tampa. He was a respitory therapist and was working with the Florida Medical Group in Zephyrhills. He was a U.S. Armed Forces veteran and a Baptist by faith.

Robert Eugene Sapp, 77, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Vancouver, Canada, and moved to this area 13 years ago from Lake Tahoe, Calif. He was a retired, self-employed store owner and served in the Royal Canadian Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; and a stepson, Joseph DeRoche of Winthrop, Mass.

Hope Flynn, 61, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 29 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. She graduated from Pasco County School of Practical Nursing and was employed with the Hernando County Health Department. She was a member of the Exotic Bird Club and Northcliffe Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Donald of Spring Hill, John of Italy, Scott Klimczak of Sierra Vista, Calif., and James of Jacksonville; a daughter, Darlene Lee of New Port Richey; a sister, Joyce Buscemi of Fulton, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a nephew.

She was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark., and moved to this area 33 years ago from Flint, Mich. She was a retired Stanley Home Products dealer after 25 years of service and was a member of First Church of God, Brooksville.
Survivors include her husband, Troy; a son, Ellis Ballard of Linden, Mich.; a daughter, Pauline Cohee of Brooksville; a brother, Martin Smith of Flint; a sister, Vashti Hammond of Flint; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Anna Marie Zuyus, 79, of Spring Hill, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came to this area 28 years ago from East Rockaway, N.Y.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Hernando County Sheriff's Department YES Program, an avid gardener and pianist.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Louise Johnson of Spring Hill; one son, Joseph Jr. of Rockville Centre, N.Y.; her brother, Edward McCormick of Oceanside, N.Y.; one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and came here nine years ago from Pasadena, Calif.
She was a Christian and earned her nursing degree from Pasadena City College and was employed as an LPN and LMT at Angel Care.
She is survived by her parents, Leonard and Patricia of Spring Hill; a sister, Elyssa of Pasadena, Calif.; a brother, Brandon of Pasadena, Calif.; a daughter, Brandi Seale-Brown of Spring Hill; a son, Dana of Spring Hill; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Francis L. Baird, 84, of Brooksville, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Carol's Family Care Home in Brooksville.
He was born in Detroit, Mich. and came to this area 23 years ago from Randolph, Mass.
He was retired after 21 years with the U.S. Navy and 10 years with the Naval Reserves, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was of the Wesleyan faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Francis L. Baird II of Holbrook, Mass. and Stephen of Brewster, Mass.; brother, Donald of Port Huron, Mich.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

She came here 22 years ago from her native Doniphan, Mo.

She is survived by her three sons, Newton Sullivan of Brooksville, Jackson Deward Sullivan of Tallahassee and John L. Sullivan of Lynchburg, Va.; a daughter, Virginia Ann Wanat of Brooksville; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

U. Edward Santoro, 85, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Atria Hernando, Brooksville.
He was born in Rome, Italy, and moved to this area 30 years ago from Alexandria, Va. He was a director for the U.S. Government, a World War II and Korean conflict U.S. Air Corp veteran, and attended Spring Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janette; two daughters, Marie Parlato of Frederick, Md., and Patricia of Frostburg, Md.; a sister, Rose Christopher of New York City, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Samuel G. "Sam Gator" Shetrone, 24, of Inverness, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Inverness. He was a laborer in the construction industry, an amateur rodeo rider, and a member of Hernando Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, John L. of Hernando and Brenda M. of Inverness; a sister, Holly Mayers of Spring Valley, Ill.; a brother, John J. of Crystal River; his grandparents, Wayne and Vivian Martin of Inverness and Bob and Olga Schneider of Culver City, Calif.; his grandmother, Verneice Shetrone of Hernando; three uncles; two aunts; two nieces; a nephew; and several cousins.

She is survived by her niece, Helen Yade of Brooksville.

Survivors include two sons, Fred of Burke, Va., and Don of Akron, Ohio; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 14 nephews and nieces.

He was born in Agrigento, Italy, and moved to this area 10 years ago from Hartford, Conn. He was the retired owner of Danny's Driving School, Hartford, past member of Brooksville Elks Lodge, president of Santa Lucia Society, Hartford, and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; a son, Louis of Connecticut; a daughter, Josephine Dziarkowski of Connecticut; a brother, Anselmo of Italy; a sister, Yolanda Galatioto of Italy; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alfred Steinberger, 72, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.

Survivors include two sons, Steve F. and Edward, both of Spring Hill; a daughter, JoAnn Fulgenzi of Spring Hill; two stepsons, Michael Scherbner of Bayville, N.Y., and Paul Scherbner of Astoria; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a secretary for the head master of Homewood School, Baltimore, a past volunteer with Springstead High School Library and Oak Hill Hospital, a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill, and was active with the church and all its ministries.
Survivors include a son, Stuart of Tallahassee; two daughters, JoAnn R. Schmidt of Seven Valleys, Pa., and Laurie Shillingburg of Ellicott City, Md.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
