Charles F. Klein, 84, formerly of High Point, Brooksville, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 in Cartersville, Ga.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and was a resident of this area for 22 years prior to moving to Cartersville. He was a retired sales manager for the J.C. Penney Company, Sears, and Lyon Music Company. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, serving in both Guam and Iwo Jima campaigns. He received two Purple Hearts and two Campaign Citations and was a member of VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill, DAV, Brooksville, and High Point Lions Club.

James F. Markey, 83, of Cloverleaf, Brooksville, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Lansing, Mich., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Detroit, Mich. He was a retired electrical engineer. He served in the Signal Corps of Engineers during World War II, was an accomplished organist and remained a member of the Motor City Chapter of the American Theater Organ Society, was a printer, a logician, an active member of the Clover Leaf community including the Billiards Club, where he was the secretary, a columnist with the Clover Leaf News and a member, and played most of the preludes for the Organ & Music Club of Clover Leaf.
Survivors include her sister, Katherine Skala of Grand Junction, Colo.; two nieces, Lu Peters and Connie Breckel; and four nephews, Ted Breckel, and Ralph, Everett and Ed Skala.
