Tina Claire Ehrlich, 88, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Massapequa, N.Y. She was a retired private secretary to Judge Howard Hogan of the New York State Supreme Court, a member of the Garden City Republican Club, corresponding secretary for the Civil Service Employees Association, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Russell W. Lyster of Manhattan, N.Y.; a daughter, Patricia Vitty of Quechee, Vt.; a stepdaughter, Janet Sullivan of Mainville, Ohio; a sister, Ann Hewitt of Long Branch, N.J.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rebecca S. Soderstrom, 60, of Brooksville, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 at her home.
She was born in New Albany, Ind., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Chicago, Ill. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Sr.; three sons, Wayne Jr. of Brooksville, Herbert P. Hilt of Springfield, Mo., and Stephen Soderstrom of Mundelein, Ill.; two daughters, Barbara E. Soderstrom of Mundelein and Deborah L. Johnson of Brooksville; three brothers, Danny, Johnny and Richard Hilt, all of Houston, Texas; eight sisters, Nancy Hilt, Elizabeth Brock, Glenda Thompson, Judy Hilt, Donna Sillings, and Cristy Hilt, all of New Albany, and Mildred and Mary Hilt, both of Lincoln, Neb.; and nine grandchildren.

Charles D. Nagy, 94, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area 30 years ago from Willoughby Hills, Ohio. He was a retired machine repairman for Thompson Products, Euclid, Ohio, after 35 years of service.
Survivors include three sons, Charles C. Nagy of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Robert E. Nagy of Hot Springs, Ark., and Daniel R. Nagy of Hillsborough, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Irene Marie Amato, 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003 at Forest Oaks Care Center, Spring Hill.
She was born in Fall River, Mass., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Pompton Plains, N.J. She was a retired technician, a member of VFW Post 10209 Women's Auxiliary and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Thomas F. Picaroni of Hollywood; a brother, Edward C. LeClerc of Spring Hill; a sister, Jeanie Perry of Middletown, R.I.; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

Joan Helen Smith Allen, 68, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Utica, N.Y., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Gowanda, N.Y. She was a retired nurse's aide at Gowanda Psychiatric Hospital. She was a member of Women of the Moose, both in Brooksville and Gowanda, and Gowanda Fireman's Auxiliary, and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Janice Allen of Spring Hill; a brother, James Clayton Smith of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Joyce Ann Purdy of Gowanda and June Marie Ellis of Cattaraugus, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty Frances Williams, 62, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
She was born in Richmond, Va., and moved to this area many years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Eden Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas P.; a son, James A. Williams of Brandon, Miss.; three daughters, Rhonda Gibson of Tellico Plains, Tenn., Debbie Shaw of Brooksville and Jennifer Hoke of Fairmont, W.Va.; a brother, Martin Austin of Mount Airy, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mavis Louise Bourne, 87, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to this area seven years ago from England. She was a former nurse's aide and food service professional with the Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company and a member of Spring Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Solomon of England; and four daughters, Maxine Solomon-Mitchell, Irma Solomon, Yvette Grannum Thomas and Jacqueline Grannum, all of England.

Salvatore A. Monda, 71, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Newark, N.J., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Matawan, N.J. He retired as a stock selector for AT&T/Lucent. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Kay; two sons, Salvatore Monda of Buffalo, N.Y., and Michael Monda of Port Richey; four daughters, Diane Ely of Hudson, Deborah Stone of North Carolina, and Michelle Marc-Aurelle and Theresa Wilson, both of New Jersey; three stepsons, Matthew Roe of Brandon, and Joseph and Nathan Klinnert, both of Spring Hill; two stepdaughters, Ruth Ann Hogan of Brandon and Rachel Hogan of Port Richey; a brother, Joseph Monda of Melbourne; a sister, Antoinette Schavio of Melbourne; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arthur L. "Roy" Snow, 85, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Chinsegut Hill and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. He was co-founder and president of Snow & Bell Insurance Co., a World War II and Korean conflict U.S. Army veteran, founding member of the Brooksville Golf & Country Club, former county commissioner, former Elder and a member of the Brooksville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Arthur Leroy Jr. and Robert Bruce Snow, both of Brooksville; a daughter, Sharon Snow Bell of Brooksville; a sister, Joyce Agliano of Tampa; and four grandchildren.

John W. Urling, 68, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 at his home.
He moved to this area seven years ago from his native Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a retired printer and recently worked for the Salvation Army resale shop in Spring Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran, active member of the Pennsylvania Club and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae; a son, David W. Urling of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Kristy Weiss of Pittsburgh; a stepdaughter, Karen A. Smith of Spring Hill; a brother, Richard L. Urling of Hudson; two sisters, Katherine Meinert of Lecanto and Elizabeth J. Urling of Brooksville; and four grandchildren.

Thomas E. Arnold, 71, of Brooksville, died Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1988 from San Francisco. He was a business manager and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving for eight years as an aerial photographer.
Survivors include five brothers, William Arnold of Hudson, Edward Arnold of Endicott, N.Y., Rick Krist of Allentown, Pa., Ray Eaker of Seneca Lake, N.Y., and Steve Eaker of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Kathy Rizzi of Endwell, N.Y., and Roberta Davies of Castle Creek, N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia C. Hirth, 97, of Spring Hill, died Friday, May 9, 2003 at the Hernando Hospice Care Center.
She was a native of Detroit and a resident of this area for the past four years after living 27 years in Boca Raton. She retired from Metropolitan Hotel Supply in Detroit after 40 years of service as an accountant. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Brooksville.
She is survived by two nieces, Sylvia Powley of Homosassa, and Geraldine Stewart of Roseville, Mich.; and a nephew, Ronald E. Spruth of Fletcher, N.C. Arrangements by Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, Cortez Boulevard Chapel, Brooksville.

Mary Demler, 93, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at Atria Hernando Assisted Living.
She was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., and moved to this area six years ago from Woodbridge, N.J. She was a salesperson at Woolworth 5 & 10, Woodbridge, for over 25 years and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her son, William of Sumpter, Fla.; a brother, Richard Lagonia of Spring Hill; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mae Butler, 76, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002.
She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and moved to this area 13 years ago from Patchogue, Long Island, N.Y. She retired from Norman King & Son Furniture, Patchogue, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Edward R.; two sons, Edward Jr. of Oradell, N.J., and Raymond of Patchogue; a sister, Helen Woods of Tarpon; and a grandchild, Tara.

Joseph G. Novakoski, 82, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Mocanaqua, Pa., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Bloomingdale, N.J. He was a bakery mechanic and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Anna A.; two sons, Joseph J. of New Bern, N.C., and Brian J. of Franklin, N.J.; two brothers, Anthony J. of Spring Hill and Peter of Pompton Plains, N.J.; a sister, Mae Panettieri of Oakdale, Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was born in Boston, Mass., and moved to this area 27 years ago from Braintree, Mass. He was an accountant and retired from Jervis B. Webb Company, Scituate, Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline; a daughter, Carol Ann Bonner of Brooksville; a sister, Audrey Gaumont of Foxboro, Mass.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, David L.; a daughter, Beverly Fisher-Gordon of Seattle, Wash.; and a grandson, Patrick David Gordon.

She was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to this area nine years ago from Zephyrhills. She was a dietary aide for Tampa General Hospital and a member of Zephyrhills Church of God.
Survivors include her son, Eddie Kirkland of Brooksville; two grandchildren, Brenda G. Clark of Lecanto and Cheryl A. Dawkins of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; and a great-grandchild, Aaron White of Tampa.

Morris Dale Scales, 73, of Weeki Wachee, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at his home.

He was the retired owner of Dale's Carpet, a World War II U.S. Merchant Marine veteran, a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 4372, Weeki Wachee Hills, American Legion Post 186, High Point, Brooksville, Loyal Order of Moose 521, Spring Hill, and Elks BPO Lodge 2582, Brooksville, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; four sons, Kenny and Bill, both of Bloomington, Ind., Mike of Bell, Fla., and John of Weeki Wachee; a brother, Don of Bloomington; a sister, Bonita Lawrence of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
