He was born in Fort Gay, W.Va., and moved to this area eight years ago from Kilmarnock, Va. He was a retired senior agricultural economist for the U.S. Government, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, Rotarian, and a member of the VFW of Virginia.

He was born in Rital, Fla., and moved to Trilby, Fla., before moving to Brooksville in the late '50s, where he was a farmer, mechanic, heavy equipment operator and the owner/operator of Project Oil for nine years in the Spring Lake area. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Sportsman Handicap Club, Jacksonville, and a Protestant by faith.

He was born in Longtown, Mo., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Monte Sereno, Calif. He received a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Missouri at Rolla, served in the Air Force Reserve, graduated ROTC and served as company commander with the Corps of Engineers at Fort Leonardwood, Mo. He built a variety of national transportation companies and most recently founded ABCO Transportation, a Florida based nationwide, refrigerated trucking company.

Richard James Wesson, 82, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Nashua, N.H., and moved to this area19 years ago from Nashua. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force, 703rd Bomb Squadron, and 445th Bombardment Group. He flew as a top turret gunner on a B-24 Liberator, Heavy Bomber, stationed at Tibenham Field, Norfolk, England. He served with the New Hampshire Army National Guard and was stationed in Nashua at the old Armory on Canal Street and moved to temporary headquarters at the Goodrich Building on Main Street, later to the Palm Street School, and then to the new Armory presently at Daniel Webster Highway South in January 1960. In 1975, he was transferred to Manchester Armory and performed the duties as Operations Training and Readiness Specialist with the grade of Command Sergeant Major until his retirement in May 1980. His last unit of assignment was Headquarters 1st Battalion, 172nd Field Artillery. He served for more than 34 years. His military decorations and citations were: Air Medal with Clusters (5), Good Conduct Medal, E.T.O. Medal with Four Campaign Stars, Presidential Unit Citation, American Defense Medal, World War II Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, Army Reserve Medal, Commendation Medal awarded by the Adjutant General, the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara (awarded to Field Artillery men who have demonstrated the highest dedicated application of time, effort and moral character and spirit in distinguished service to the U.S. Army Field Artillery). He was a member of the New Hampshire Sons of the American Revolution; and Rising Sun Lodge 39, F&AM, New Hampshire Consistory, 32nd degree, Nashua; Registrar with Selective Service System, Local Board 16, Nashua; and Notary Public and Justice of the Peace in New Hampshire. He was a life member of American Legion Post 3, Nashua; New Hampshire National Guard Enlisted Association, New Hampshire National Guard Non-Commission Officers Open Mess, Non-Commissioned Officers Association of the U.S.A., Nashua Historical Society and VFW Post 10209, Spring Hill.
