Marcella M. Gross, 82, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2006, at her home. She moved to this area 14 years ago from her native Chicago, Ill.
Ms. Gross was an administrative assistant for a law firm and a Catholic by faith.

Matthew "Matt" S. Castimore, 46, of Inverness, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in Naples. He was born in Denville, N.J., and moved to this area six years ago from Atlantic City, N.J.
Mr. Castimore was an engineer for Pen Power Company, Tampa, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Julia L. Castimore of Palm Harbor; a brother, Dwight Castimore of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Sharon Nordberg of Raleigh, N.C., and Gail Castimore and Alison Hicinbothem, both of Rockaway, N.J.

Lera M. Stefanini, 84, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006. She was born in Buffalo, Ill., and moved to this area 26 years ago from Boston, Mass.
Mrs. Stefanini was formerly employed in a New York City shipyard as one of the infamous "Rosy the Riveters" supporting the domestic war effort. After the war, she was a senior purchasing specialist at Cramer Electronics in the Boston area. After moving to Brooksville, she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Society, and was also a volunteer at the Daystar Life Center.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; three sons, Paul, Victor and Tony; two daughters, Pamela James and Linda Sohn; a brother, Gene Lera; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Donald Backus, 86, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in New Straitsville, Ohio, and moved to this area 19 years ago from Barbarton, Ohio.
Mr. Backus retired from Bridgestone/Firestone after 35 years of service. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the VFW, Loyal Order of Moose, AARP and Forest Oaks Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie "Jean"; a son, Donald Thomas of Pensacola; a brother, Ernest of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Della Harris of Barbarton; and three grandchildren.

John S. “Jack’ Jordan, 85, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Sunday, March 26, 2006. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Florida from Claysville, Pa.
Mr. Jordan retired from Verizon after 39 years of service in management in Pennsylvania and Florida. He was a World War II U.S. Seabees veteran, a member of the Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine, all in Pennsylvania, and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Candace Catheline of Warren, Ohio; a son, John P. of Romona, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Luca was a property manager and a Catholic by faith.

Nadine “GG” Lorenzi, 84, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in Brooksville. She was born in Franklin, Kan., and moved to Florida 33 years ago from Detroit, Mich.

Donald Wilbur Mikkelsen, 69, of Spring Hill, died Monday, April 3, 2006 at home. He was born in Muskegon, Mich., and moved to this area two years ago from Albany, N.Y.
Mr. Mikkelsen was a retired chemist for General Electric with 30 years of service, a U.S. Army veteran, a representative to the Troy Annual Conference, a past lay person, superintendent, treasurer and Sunday school teacher for the United Methodist Church, Voorheesville, N.Y., and also participated in services at nursing homes in Voorheesville.

Katherine G. Bolner, 76, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in New Cumberland, W.Va., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Weirton, W.Va.
Ms. Bolner was a Catholic by faith.

Joseph W. Condron, 79, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 20 years ago from St. Petersburg.
Mr. Condron retired after 30 years of service from the Veterans Administration. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a decorated sailor for the U.S. Navy Armed Guard. He recently became a life member of Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 where he was a bingo caller and volunteer for 20 years. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; four sons, Tim and John, both of St. Petersburg, Bill of Brooksville and Steve of Clearwater; two daughters, Maureen Condron and Linda Condron, both of Clearwater; two stepdaughters, Debbie and Elaine Parfitt; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rodriguez was an elementary schoolteacher and reading specialist. She attended Hunter College and Hofstra College, and was a Christian by faith.
