James A. Burke Jr., 77, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Weymouth, Mass., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Pembroke, Mass. He was employed for 22 years with Plymouth Quarries. He also worked as a tax accountant and then retired from Raytheon in Massachusetts. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the Navy Reserve after 26 years. He was a Catholic by faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Weymouth.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; two sons, James and Brian, both of Spring Hill; two daughters, Sandra Feener of Spring Hill and Kathleen Spratt of Eastern, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Roland G. Higdon, 89, of Ocala, formerly of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 in Ocala. He was born in Bunker Hill, Mich., and had moved to Spring Hill 34 years ago from Hastings, Mich.
Mr. Higdon was a retired carpenter, a life member of the Elks Club in Hastings, a member of the former Spring Hill Country Club and formed the Higdon Hackers golf group in Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; a daughter, Deborah Teed of Ocala; two sons, Richard Higdon of Goodrich, Mich., and Thomas Higdon of Fayetteville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Eugene Glenn Sr., 67, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y.
Mr. Glenn retired from the New York Police Department after serving 20 years as a police officer. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Church Without Walls in Tampa.

Robert E. Tighe Jr., 66, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Scranton, Pa., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Hudson.
Mr. Tighe was a lawn equipment salesman and a member of Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; two sons, Robert E. Tighe III of Denville, N.J., and Shawn J. Ella Louise Randolph, 81, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at her home in Floral City.
She moved to this area 20 years ago. She was a soft water laundry supervisor in St. Petersburg and loved to work in laundry services and sew. She was a 20-year member of Istachatta Church of Christ, where she was the attendance recorder.
Survivors include six sons, Jerry, Bill, Roger, David, Danny and Eddie Randolph; three daughters, Glenda Burke, Wanda Hansen and Paula Cook; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born in Wulferstedt, Germany and moved to Spring Hill nine years ago from Hopatcong, N.J. She was a retired restaurant owners and operator and was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Rochester and a past assistant district commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America in Florida.
