Earl B. "Bill" Conaway Jr., 83, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was a native of Houston, Pa., and a resident of this area for the past 17 years coming from Wellston, Ohio. He was a retired commercial and portrait photographer, a member of the Independent Order of Foresters, the American Legion Post No. 400, and the AARP.
Survivors include his wife, Alma "Jean"; a daughter, Sharon Nance of Tampa; and sister, Jean Bice of Delray Beach.

Leonard "Brack" Brackston Morehead, 56, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005 in New Port Richey.
He was born in Front Royal, Wash., and moved here 27 years ago from Maryland. He was a retired electrician and a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer of New Port Richey; two sons, Travis Morehead of Fayetteville, N.C., and Bill Morehead; a daughter, Kristy Milwicz of New York; his father, Leonard Morehead of Shady Side, Md.; and brother, Daniel Morehead of Edgewater, Md.; and a sister, Deborah Gaither of Spring Hill.

Kailei Kristin Sullivan, infant, of Weeki Wachee, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Melissa Reed of Weeki Wachee and Jared Sullivan of New Port Richey; maternal grandparents, Patricia and David Reed of Massachusetts; and paternal grandmother, Darlene Sullivan of Weeki Wachee.

Robert H. Campbell, 100, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 28 years ago from Long Island.
Mr. Campbell was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his son, Ronald H. Campbell of Spring Hill; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Maude Lee Kuykendall, 84, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Spring Hill Rehabilitation Center, Brooksville.
She was born in Lake, Tenn., and moved to this area many years ago from Tennessee. She was a former quality control inspector and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church, Paris, Tenn.
Survivors include two daughters, Imogene Kuykendall Booth of Spring Hill and Mickey Cosby of Melvindale, Mich.; a sister, Martha Ann Breeden of Ridgely, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Angelika Bernadette Stokes, infant, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Daniele Wolfe and Timothy Stokes of Spring Hill; two sisters, Felicia and Sydnee Stokes, both of Spring Hill; a brother, Maxxwell Stokes of Spring Hill; paternal grandfather, Arthur Stokes of Spring Hill; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Bernadette Wolfe of Ashboro, N.C.

Daniel J. Caponigro, 72, of Ridge Manor, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in Spring Hill.
He was born in Montclair, N.J., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Miami. He was a design engineer for Racal-Milgo Electronics, Sunrise, Fla., and a member of the Hernando County Association of Realtors, Sons of Italy, Spring Hill, Knights of Columbus 2561 Caldwell Council, New Jersey, and St. Anne Catholic Church, Ridge Manor.
Survivors include a son, Don Caponigro of Davie; a daughter, Jane Sedley of Miramar; two brothers, Rocco Caponigro of Weddington, N.C., and Anthony Caponigro of Ridge Manor; and four grandchildren.

Peggy C. Boltz, 75, of Brookridge, Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Carol Martin's Assisted Living Facility, Spring Hill.
She was born in Bluffton, Ohio, and moved to this area 14 years ago from Toledo, Ohio. She was a retired co-owner/operator of Boltz Oil Company, Toledo, a member of Brookridge Golf & Country Club, former member of Monroe Boat Club, Monroe, Mich., and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; two daughters, Ceana Botts of Fairfax, Calif., and Tami Schmidt of Carey, Ohio; a sister, Gwenn Thibert of Perrysburg, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Louis Sidor, 81, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Evergreen Woods Health Care Center.
He was born in Chyzna, Czechoslovakia, and moved to this area 16 years ago from Parma Heights, Ohio. He was a retired estimator for Barth Industries, Cleveland, Ohio, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Masonic Lodge 699, Fairview Park, Ohio, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Masaryktown.
Survivors include his wife, Eilene; a son, Louis A. Sidor of Bowling Green, Ohio; a daughter, Elaine M. Addessi of Spring Hill; a brother, John Sidor of Parma; and three grandsons.

Howard B. Anderson, 76, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson.
He was born in Leesburg and moved to this area 24 years ago from Miami. He was a special investigator for the U.S. Postal Service in Miami. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and Korean conflict U.S. Army infantry veteran, where he won the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association and Florida Sheriff's Association.
Survivors include two sons, Terry of Port St. Lucie and Howard "Bruce" of Lexington, S.C.; two sisters, Anita Brown of Port St. Lucie and Cherry Cook of Miami; an aunt, Nina Daly of Spokane, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Frank A. Rehak, 94, of Brooksville, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to the area 17 years ago from Brookfied, Wis. He was the owner and operator of Frank's Prime Meats in Milwaukee, Wis., loved fishing and golfing and was a member of Brooksville Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; a son, Robert Rehak of Clardian Hills, Ill.; a sister, Lillian Levi of Phillips, Wis.; and two grandchildren.

Roy R. Austad, 77, of Spring Hill, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Hospice Care Unit in Brooksville.
He was born in North Mankato, Minn. and came here 13 years ago from Des Moines, Iowa. He was employed as a plant manager with Cretex Companies, Inc. in Iowa and Minnesota. He was Lutheran by faith and a member of Grace Lutheran Church Council and an usher. He enjoyed working on his yard, fishing camping, hunting, helping others and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor of Spring Hill; son, Howard Austad, daughter, Judy Austad, all of Spring Hill; sister-in-law, Adrella Austad of Lake Ville, Minn.; 2 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gertrude C. Walker, 80, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at her home. She was born in Charlestown, Mass., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Bellerose, N.Y.
Mrs. Walker was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Walker of Elmont, N.Y., and Jim Walker of Malden, Mass.; two daughters, Patricia Walker and Catherine Bartholomew, both of Spring Hill; two sisters, Ellen Flaherty of Brighton, Mass., and Catherine Waple of Shrewsbury, Mass.; a brother, William O'Leary of Brighton; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Marc T. Sayre, 46, of Weeki Wachee, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at his home. He was born in Westport, Conn., and moved to this area a year ago from Sarasota.
Mr. Sayre was the owner and operator of Park Avenue Cleaners, Sarasota, and was a Christian by faith.
Survivors include his mother, Jaquelyn Sayre Goldsmith of Weeki Wachee; a brother, Scott Robert Sayre of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Leslie Dale Sayre of New Port Beach, Calif., and Shelly Sayre-Manion of Winchester, Va.

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Kalte, 84, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in Highland Park, Mich., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Detroit, Mich.
Mrs. Kalte was a teacher and taught high school English and Latin for the Wayne County School System. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin W.; a cousin, Ryan Collins of Tarpon Springs; and several other cousins.

Olive U. Hanna, 83, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at The Sterling House. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 23 years ago from Dix Hills, N.Y.
Mrs. Hanna was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, George; four sons, Dick of Cullowhee, N.C., Raymond of Flint, Texas, Robert of Placerville, Calif., and George Jr. of Spring Hill; a daughter, Suzanne Buchanan of Dix Hills; a brother, Thomas Haggerty of Fairless, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Gladys C. Receveur, 88, of Brooksville, died Friday, April 7, 2006 in Spring Hill. She was born in Sanford, N.C., and moved to this area 50 years ago from Glenburnie, Md.
Mrs. Receveur was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked at a manufacturing plant supporting the war effort and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include three sons, David and George Receveur, both of Brooksville, and Roger Receveur of Palatka; two daughters, Renette Black of Brooksville and Rose Jernigan of Rockville, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Donald Frank Backus, 75, of Hudson, formerly of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. He was born in Oak Hill, W.Va., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Charleston, W.Va.
Mr. Backus worked in maintenance for Kanawha County Schools, West Virginia, retiring with over 20 years of service, and was a member of Berean Assembly of God.
Survivors include his sister, Kay Spiegel of Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James F. “Jimmy” Hughes, 46, of Lecanto, formerly of Brooksville, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at his home. He was born in Brooksville and moved to Lecanto 20 years ago.
Mr. Hughes was a welder mechanic for the Crystal River Power Plant 1 and 2. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky; a son, James Keith Hughes of Lecanto; a daughter, Jaclyn Dawn Hughes of Lecanto; his mother, Margaret L. Schall of Brooksville; and four brothers, Dickey Hughes of Lakeland, Jeff Bond of Bulls Gap, Tenn., and Steven Sommer and Willie Honea, both of Brooksville.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Winston of Brooksville; four grandchildren, Teresa Winston of Columbus, Ohio, Melanie Combs and Nancy Mason, both of Brooksville, and Ernie Winston of Spring Hill; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Charles L. Beall, 82, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Oakland, Ind., and moved to this area 16 years ago from McHenry, Ill.
Mr. Beall was a crusher operator for a sand and gravel products company, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a past member of the Moose Lodge, Illinois, and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; two sons, Bruce of Holiday and Bradley of Lutz; two daughters, Barbara Nordin of Spring Hill and Kimberly Didier of Wonder Lake, Ill.; a brother, James of Arizona; a sister, Mary Knowlton of Wisconsin; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
