Albert Thibodeau, 78
Mr. Albert Thibodeau of Chiefland died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 in Crystal River. He was 78 years old.
Mr. Thibodeau was born in Monktown, New Brunswick and came here from Kingston, Mass. one month ago. He was a foreman carpenter and a member of the French Club in Waltham, Mass. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Thibodeau of Chiefland; two sons, Ronald and Jerry Thibodeau, both of Plymouth, Mass; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland.
Don Thibodeau
Don Thibodeau of Cedar Key died October 2, 2004, at his home after a long illness. He was 85.
Mr. Thibodeau was born in Milwaukee and moved to the Cedar Key area in 1984. He was a dairy farmer and an electrical contractor.
He attended the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and several campaign medals.
Mr. Thibodeau was a member of the American Legion, the 14th Armored Division Association and the Cedar Key Historical Society, where he was a longtime docent in the historical museum.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chiefland, and enjoyed deer hunting in Wisconsin and sailing on the Great Lakes.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Aurelia Barth.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kate Bassett Thibodeau; daughters Mary Kay Bloom of Middleton, Wis., and Elizabeth Beg of Bayside, Wis.; sisters Kathleen Taylor of Milwaukee and Carol Koller of Coleman, Wis.; stepdaughters Lisa Bassett of Tallahassee and Susan Garcia of Palatka; stepsons Jonathan Bassett of Tampa, Jeffrey Bassett of Fort Lauderdale, Timothy Bassett of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Christopher Bassett of Palm Bay; six grandchildren; and one great- grandson.

Walter Lee Weeks, 83
Mr. Walter Lee Weeks of Old Town passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 83.
Mr. Weeks was born and raised in Chiefland. He moved to Plant City in 1945 after serving in the Army. He entered the Army at the age of 21 and served in a Combat Engineering Company for four years. During that time he received a Purple Heart.
He raised his family in Plant City where he operated a crane for the Davis Phosphate Company. After retirement, he returned to Chiefland and later moved to Old Town. He attended the First Baptist Church in Old Town.
Survivors include: his wife, Annie M. Weeks of Old Town; a son, Bobby Weeks of Old Town; two daughters, Rita Rogers of Plant City and Linda Burton of Tallahassee; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the New Prospect Cemetery in Cross City.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City.
Lela Levona Lunday, 57
Ms. Lela Levona Lunday of Cross City, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003. She was 57 years old.
Ms. Lunday is survived by her lifetime friend, Howell Lipford of Monticello; a daughter, Lori Eubanks of Gainesville; a son, Wesley Lipford of Cross City; two grandchildren, James Eubanks and Nicholas Eubanks, both of Gainesville; a sister, Carolyn Staley of Moberly, Mo.; a nephew, Keith Staley of Cross City; a niece, Deanna Roberts of Cedar Town, Ga.; two great nieces, Katelyn and Shelby Ann Staley of Cross City; a great nephew, Dustin Roberts of Cedar Town, Ga.; and many other family members and friends.
Memorial services were held on Monday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. G. C. Fogarty officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of God of Prophecy in her memory. Arrangements were under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City.
