Goree Strawn, 80
Mr. Goree Strawn died on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the Cypress Cove Care Center, Crystal River. He was 80.
He was born in Tidewater, FL, and moved to the Dunnellon area over 19 years ago from Tampa. He was a member of the McGee Branch Hunting Club. Mr. Strawn enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his three sons, James Goree Strawn, Dunnellon, Larry Lamar Strawn of Oldsmar and Willie B. G. Strawn of Bronson; three daughters, Debora Collins of Spring Hill; Lois Arlene Trimble of Dunnellon and Christine Strawn of Tampa; brother, William H. Strawn of Gulf Hammock, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Williston.
Alice Scoggins, 87
Mrs. Alice Scoggins died April 3, 2004 at her residence in Chiefland. She was 87.
She was born in Rutherfordton, NC, and came here from Pinellas Park 33 years ago. She was a retired weaver for a cotton mill.
She was a very active Christian Leader and Sunday School teacher at Pine Grove Baptist Church when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scoggins.
Survivors include her three sons, Norman M. Scoggins and Ron Scoggins, both of Chiefland and Robert P. Scoggins of Clinton, TN; one brother, A. L. Hardin, Jr. of Shelby, NC; one sister, Mary Melton of Shelby, NC; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.
Hazel M. Pedrick, 76
Mrs. Hazel M. Pedrick died April 5, 2004 at Shands at AGH, Gainesville. She was 76.
She was born in Morriston, FL, and has been a longtime Gainesville resident.
Survivors include her sons, Raymond Chessere of Bridgeport, TX; Billy Neeley of Bronson, FL; John Neeley, Archer, FL, and Gary Neeley, Keystone Heights, FL; daughter Bessie Rae Beasley of Bridgeport, TX; eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Williston.

Mrs. Mildred Eunice Holtzclaw, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at LaFayette Health Care Center in Mayo. She was 82.

Margaret Louise Pyers of Chiefland, died at her home on Thursday, July 10, 2003. She was 50.
Allen Raymond Watson, 57
Allen Raymond Watson, of Archer, died August 9, 2003, at his home. He was 57.
Mr. Watson was born in Williston and was a lifelong Archer resident. He was a self-employed mechanic and served in the Army in Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Sherman Watson of Archer; a son, Steven Walters of Jacksonville; a daughter, Bonnie White of Jacksonville; sisters Joann White of Archer, Shirley Spells of Ft. Pierce, Barbara Jordan of Ocala, Betty Blade of Newberry and Judy Heisel of Tallahassee; and eight grandchildren.
