Victor B. Scott
Victor B. Scott of Otter Creek died March 16, 2004. He was 61.
Mr. Scott was born in Trenton, N.J., and moved to Otter Creek from Newberry four years ago.
He was a retired transportation manager.
He served in the Navy and was mayor of Otter Creek. He was also a member of the Otter Creek Fire Department and the American Legion.
He attended Newberry United Methodist Church and Ellzey United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Scott of Otter Creek; a daughter, Carrie Liston of Trenton; sons Michael Scott of Newberry, David Scott of Lexington, Ky.; Victor Brian Scott of Otter Creek and Christopher Scott of Gainesville; sisters Lois Scott of Paducah, Ky., Judy Grantham of Atlanta, Terri Scott of Homosassa and Darla Brown of Levittown, Pa.; a brother, Robert Scott of Yardley, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Barbara Neil
Barbara Neil of Chiefland died March 19, 2004. She was 64.
Mrs. Neil was born in Levy County and was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, river fishing, and time at the beach or visiting Cedar Key. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Beatrice Cason; daughters Sherry McElroy and Calla Neil; and son Joe Neil, all of Chiefland.

Harry Frank Hilpertshauser
Harry Frank Hilpertshauser of Williston died March 15, 2004, at Woodland Care Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. He was 77.
Mr. Hilpertshauser was born in Sharon, Conn., and moved to Williston 36 years ago. He was a lifelong farmer and cattleman.
He was a member of New York Holstein Association, Eastern New York Holstein Club and Connecticut Milk Producers Association.
He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Williston.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Marie Hilpertshauser, and a son, Harry F. Hilpertshauser Jr.
Survivors include daughters Judy Robinson of Lake City and Mary Ann Sikes of Newberry; a sister, Margaret Porter of Ancram, N.Y.; brothers Ernie Hilpertshauser of Hendersonville, N.C., and Jack Hilpertshauser of Bend, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Lola Holmes Riley
Lola Holmes Riley of Chiefland died March 15, 2004, after an extended illness. She was 82.
Mrs. Riley was born in Bell and moved to Chiefland in 1958.
She worked as a housekeeper and a cook.
Mrs. Riley was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Chiefland.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Riley and a son, Alexander Riley.
Survivors include daughters Jessie Lee White of Bell, Lorene Rentz, Rena May Riley, Laura Brown and Floretha Riley, all of Gainesville, and Vera Chisholm of Chiefland; sons the Rev. Sammie Lee Riley of Los Angeles, Willard L. Riley of Tampa, Nathaniel Riley of Boston, Raymond Riley of Gainesville and Julious Riley of Chiefland; brothers Bernie Holmes and Walter Gamble, both of Tampa; 61 grandchildren and 97 great-grandchildren.
