Catherine Anne Lewis of Chiefland died June 2, 2004, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was 81.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to this area from Tampa. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Mitchell Lewis, and a son, Herman Vanderman Lewis.
Survivors include daughters Pamela Anne Campbell of Land O' Lakes and Priscilla Anne Dortch of Chiefland; brothers Joseph Vincent Downes Jr. of Petersburg, Va., and Harvey Lawrence Downes of Brooksville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Doris M. Fund of Chiefland died June 4, 2004. She was 83.
Mrs. Fund was born in Canaan, Vt., and moved to this area in 1984. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Fund of Chiefland; stepsons William Fund of Virginia Beach, Va., and Terry Fund of Delaware; a daughter, Donna Greenwood of Brandon; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Hammonds of Williston died June 1, 2004, at Williston Health Care Center after an extended illness. She was 81.
Mrs. Hammonds was born in Bartow and moved to Williston in 1961. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church in Williston.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Hammonds of Williston; a son, Elijah Brown of Gainesville; sisters Ovida Hammonds of Clearwater, Elizabeth Johnson and Thelma Davis, both of Williston, and Edna Pullings of Blichton; brothers Homer Williams of Lakeland, George Williams of Fort Mead, Charles Henry Williams of Williston and Ronald Clark of Flemington; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
