Viola Forsyth, 91, of Anna Maria, died Dec. 14, 2001, in Our Island Home in Anna Maria.
Memorial service will be in Leverett, Mass., at a later date. Inurnment will be in Long Plain Cemetery in Leverett. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Holmes Beach Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Crawford County, Pa., Mrs. Forsyth came to Manatee County from Fort Myers Beach in April 2001. She was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Kelley J., of Glen Ridge, N.J.; and a grandson, Mark D., of Rockport, Mass.

Faye L. Farinella, 82, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 16, 2001, in St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis County.
Visitation was Wednesday in St. Louis. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Louis, with the Rev. Robert Behen will be officiating. John L. Born in Eolia, Mo., Mrs. Farinella came to Manatee County from St. Louis in 1984. She was a secretary for an architectural office. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice, of Los Angeles; a son, John S. Sr., of South St. Louis County; and three grandchildren.

Norma J. Vukovich, 75, of Bradenton, died Dec. 19, 2001, at home.

Born in Johnsonburg, Pa., Mrs. Vukovich came to Manatee County from Middleburg in 1994. She was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include two daughters, Lea Sears of Belaire, Md., and Lynn Quattro of Elgin, S.C.; three sons, Michael, of Middleburg, Mark, of Elsinore, Calif., and Richard, of Hinesville, Ga.; a sister, Lea Russell of Bradenton; and seven grandchildren.

Margaret E. (Staats) Browning, 95, of Bradenton and Anderson, Ind., died Dec. 18, 2001, at her home in Anderson.

Born in Matthews, Ind., Mrs. Browning came to Manatee County from Anderson more than three years ago. She did clerical work for the federal government for 15 years before retiring in 1976. She attended Fifth Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol and Dixie, both of Anderson, and Kathryn, of Washington, D.C.; a son, Roy, of Port Charlotte; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Eleanor L. Frank, 92, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Dec. 18, 2001, in Life Care Center of Sarasota.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 5624 26th St. W., with the Rev. Max E. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ellenton. Born in Martinsville, Ohio, Mrs. Frank came to Manatee County from New London, Ohio, in 1971. She was a seamstress with C.E. Ward Regalia in New London for many years. She attended Oneco United Methodist Church. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and the Grange, a farmer's organization.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Davis of Littleton, Colo.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Shaun A. Jamison, 40, of Ellenton, died Dec. 18, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
No visitation or service is scheduled. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in New Albany, Ind., Mr. Jamison was an ASE certified auto mechanic, construction worker, chef and a jeweler. He was Protestant. He was an avid race car driver.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a stepson, Richard Hampton of Marbury, Md.; a brother, Rick, of Bradenton; and his mother, Wanda Lamping of Bradenton.
Joseph (Joe) C. Ludlum

Joseph (Joe) C. Ludlum, 76, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Manatee County, died Nov. 29, 2001, at home.
Services were at an earlier date. Reager Funeral Home in Fort Collins was in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Dan Gardinier officiated.
Mr. Ludlum was born in Manatee County. He worked at the assessor's Office in Larimer County, Colo. He was a member of American Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was involved with Lincoln Center, Open Stage Theatre, Children's Theatre, Breakfast Optimist Club, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Survivors include his daughter, Jodie Boatright of Fort Collins; a son, Bruce, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a sister, Eunice Ludlum Cleveland of Bradenton; a brother, Bill, of Grass Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Chris L. Madsen, 96, of Bradenton, died Dec. 18, 2001, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation.
Inurnment will be in Elmood Cemetery, Grayling, Mich. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Born in Alborg, Denmark, Mr. Madsen moved to Manatee County from Detroit, in 1960. He was a retired supervisor for Chrysler Corp. in Detroit. He was a member of the Danish Brotherhood in St. Petersburg. He was Prostestant.
Survivors include his daughter, Alice Burak of Largo; a son, Neal, of Bradenton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary Susan Baughman Phillips, 95, of Belington, W.Va., and a winter resident of Manatee County, died Dec. 17, 2001, at home in West Virginia.
Visitation, service and burial were earlier this week in West Virginia. Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel, Belington, was in charge of arrangements. Born in Meadowville, W. Va., Mrs. Phillips spent the winter months in Manatee County for several years. She was a former school teacher and retired assistant residence director of Hampton House Nurses Residence at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She attended Cross Roads United Methodist Church. She was involved in James Barbour Chapter DAR, Philippi Chapter No. 41 OES, 4-H Allstars, Retired Teachers Association and the Farm Women's Club (Tacy Community).
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Stiles of Tallahassee, Sata Childs of Forest Hill, Md., and Alice Hovey of Mantua, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Rosemary Wilson of Bradenton; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Peter T. Sayre Sr., 67, of Snead Island, died Dec. 18, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1010 24th Ave. W., Palmetto, with Father Lee Miller officiating. A military service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Born in Nyack, N.Y., Mr. Sayre came to Manatee County from New Jersey in 1977. He was a retired U.S. Air Force pilot. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. He was past president of the Rotary Club, past president of Retired Officers, a past member of the Palmetto High School Parent Teacher Association, and president of Snead Island Association.
Survivors include his wife Dorinda "Dinny"; a daughter, Kathie Woerner of Hampton, Ga.; a son, Peter T. Jr., of Tampa; and nine grandchildren.
