Wilfred "Willie" Buhr

Wilfred "Willie" Buhr, 63, of Bradenton, died Nov. 8, 2001, in Bradenton.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel at 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. A service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Byram officiating. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Memorial contributions can be made to Camp Tracy c/o Bible Baptist Church at 2113 Morgan Johnson Road, Bradenton, Fla., 34208.
Mr. Buhr was born in Elma, Iowa, and moved to Manatee County from Goldfield, Iowa, in May. He was self-employed in the tree service business and was Protestant.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Peters and Monique, both of Bradenton; sons Mark Buhr of Jefferson, Md., and Larry Lentz of Bradenton; two sisters, LaVonne Holman of Cassville, Mo., and Pamela Lewis of Goldfield, Iowa; five brothers, Weldon and Dallas, both of Eaglegrove, Iowa, DeWayne, of Manning, Iowa, Allan, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Ivan, of Jackson, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Ed "Pete" Elliott
Bradenton
Ed "Pete" Elliott, 91, of Bradenton, died Nov. 8, 2001, at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. A service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Elliott officiating. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association Attn: Memorials, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, Fla., 33742.
Mr. Elliott was born in Gallatin, Tenn., and moved to Manatee County from Indianapolis in 1971. He worked with Elliot Builders in Portland, Tenn., and later was a supervisor with Western Electric. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bradenton.
Survivors include two sons, Pete, of Mooresville, Ind., and Chuck, of Phoenix; a brother, Leon, of Baltimore; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Helen Marguerite Richwine Fernald
Chesnee, S.C.
Helen Marguerite Richwine Fernald, 90, of Chesnee, S.C. and formerly of Bradenton, died Nov. 9, 2001, at home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Restoration Church with the Rev. Dr. Tony Cribb and the Rev. Dr. Paul R. Gaehring officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bradenton at Manasota Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at 1300 Harmon Place, Minneapolis, Minn., 55403, or to the Campus Crusade for Christ at 100 Lake Hart Drive, Orlando, Fla. 32832.
Mrs. Fernald moved to Bradenton, where she lived 55 years before moving to Chesnee. She was a housewife.
Survivors include a son, Allen, of Alamogordo, N.M.; two daughters, Virginia Fernald Rodemond of Chesnee, S.C., and Nancy Fernald Runnells of Fort Myers; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Nancy G. Hill
Bradenton
Nancy G. Hill, 79, of Bradenton, died Nov. 9, 2001, in Sarasota Hospice House.
There will be no visitation, and a graveside service and burial is scheduled at Old Bennington Cemetery in Bennington, Vt. Brown and Sons Funeral Home 26th Street Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla., 34238.
Miss Hill was born in Bennington, Vt., and moved to Manatee County from Washington, D.C., in 1980. She was a retired security specialist for the U.S. government and a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Bradenton.
Survivors include two sisters, Florence Colliano of Pownal, Vt., and Virginia Jotikashira of Shaftsbury, Vt.; and a brother, William Hill of South Burlington, Vt.

Eloise M. Kryspin
Palmetto
Eloise M. Kryspin, 80, of Palmetto died Nov. 9, 2001, at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
No local visitation or service is scheduled. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Neapolis, Ohio. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home Mansion Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kryspin was born in Neapolis, Ohio, and moved to Manatee County 18 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Royal Neighbors. She was Protestant.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin of Palmetto; two daughters, Patricia Vollmar and Barbara Hickerson, both of Neapolis; two sons, Barry and Eayne, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Doris Garretson of Neapolis; and many grandchildren.

Frederick M. Porter
Holmes Beach
Frederick M. Porter, 84, of Holmes Beach, died Nov. 7, 2001, at home.
Memorial service will be held privately. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Island Chapel, Holmes Beach, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in New York City, Mr. Porter came to Manatee County from Short Hills, N.J., in 1982. He was a lawyer, an associate at the law firm of Lord, Day and Lord in New York, an attorney with RCA Communications and assistant general counsel of Amstar Corporation. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; a daughter, Susan Brownlee of Waitsfield, Vt.; a son, Frederick W., of Boulder, Colo.; two stepsons, John Schilling of Kennett Square, Pa., and Christian Schilling of Bradenton Beach; and four grandchildren.

Raymond Schappacher
Bradenton
Raymond Schappacher, 65, died Nov. 8, 2001, at Hospice House of Palmetto.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel, 1015 14th St. W., Bradenton. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church at 833 Magellan Drive, Bradenton with the Rev. Thomas Stabile officiating. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida at 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Mr. Schappacher was born in Reading, Ohio, and moved to Manatee County from Cincinnati in 1981. He was a brick mason and a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. Mr. Schappacher also was a member of Sarasota Masonry and Knights of Columbus DeSoto Council No. 5604.
Survivors include his wife, Rita, of Bradenton; three daughters, Lisa White of Bradenton, Alice Rose of Cincinnati, and Gina Young of Bradenton; a son, Steve, of Cincinnati; four brothers, Ralph, of Sweetwater, Tenn., Roy and Rich, both of Bradenton, and Robert, of Cincinnati; a sister, Ruth Hawkins of Parrish; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Wilbur A. Branson

Wilbur A. Branson, 91, of Bradenton, died July 28, 2001.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Robarts Funeral Home, 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota. Service will be at a later date in Madisonville, Ky. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 3355 26th St. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Onton, Ky., Mr. Branson came to Manatee County from Sarasota in 1999. He worked in public education. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a son, W.C., of Quincy; three daughters, Jean Chambliss of Tampa, Joyce James of Bradenton, and Donna Frederick of Houston; a twin sister, Wilma Patterson of Slaughters, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Robert Glen Dick

Robert Glen Dick, 73, of Bradenton, died July 28, 2001, in Hospice House, Bradenton.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Palma Sola Presbyterian Church, 6510 Third Ave. W., with Richard Dennis officiating. Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Pontiac, Mich., Mr. Dick came to Manatee County from Richmond, Va., five years ago. He was a statistician for the U.S. government. He attended Palma Sola Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Sarasota/Bradenton Ohio State University Alumni Association and a member of the Manatee Computer Club.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; a daughter, Gretchen Schwartzman of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.

Donald Joseph Elliot
Bradenton
Donald Joseph Elliot, 88, of Bradenton, died July 28, 2001, in Integrated Health Systems of Bradenton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th St. W., with the Rev. Edward D. Moretti officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Oreana, Ill., Mr. Elliot came to Manatee County from Edinburg, Ill., in 1956. He was a dairy farmer in Illinois, and worked as a Realtor in Florida. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Board of Realtors in Bradenton, a former member of Moose Lodge 2117 in Bradenton, and a former member of Elks Lodge 1511 in Bradenton.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Kaufman of Bradenton; a son, Donald, of Spartanburg, S. C.; a brother, Richard, of Greenview, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Behrens of Champagne, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
