Vincent Edward Sheehan, 76, of Bradenton, died Nov. 30, 2001, in Blake Medical Center.
There will be no local visitation, and private services will be held at a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines. Covell Cremation and Funeral center is in charge of arrangements.
Born in St. Louis, Mr. Sheehan came to Manatee County in 1983. He was a retired member of the U.S. Navy. He was Roman Catholic.
He is survived by a sister-in-law Peggy; and two nieces, Fran Rafalski of Utica, Mich., and Pat Keuthe of Millford, Ohio.

Dorothy Jane Council, 77, of Sanibel, formerly of Palmetto, died Dec. 4, 2001, in Lee County in Fort Myers.
Service will be noon Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, 330 11th Ave. W., with Dr. Paul Hartsfield officiating. Burial will be in High Springs at a later date. Born in Palmetto, Mrs. Council was a former resident of Manatee County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Palmetto.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie T.; a daughter, Suzanne, of Palmetto; and a grandchild.

Moody O. Curry of Upper Marlboro, Md., formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 2, 2001, at home.
Service will be 10 a.m. today at Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, Md., with the Rev. Richard Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton.
Born in Bradenton, Mr. Curry was a former resident of Manatee County for 20 years. He was a retired commander from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He was Episcopalian.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a son, Gary; two sisters, Hallie Philpot, and Toliver; and two grandchildren.

John H. Funderburk, 90, of Bradenton, died Dec. 6, 2001, at home.

Born in Havana, Mr. Funderburk came to Manatee County from there in 1930. He was a landscaper at Bayshore Gardens Shopping Center in Bradenton. He was Protestant.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Robinson and Marilyn Betts, both of Bradenton, and Joyce Horton of Parrish; two sons, Larry, of Bradenton, and Lamar, of Beaumont, Texas; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Michael Slay, 45, of Holmes Beach, died Dec. 4, 2001, at home.

Born in Waltham, Mass., Mr. Slay came to Manatee County from Highpoint, N.C., in 1990. He was Episcopalian.

Joseph D. Totaro, 78, of Palmetto, died Dec. 6, 2001, at home.

Born in Rome, N.Y., Mr. Totaro came to Manatee County from there in 1987. He was a salesman. He was Catholic. He served in the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2488 in Palmetto, and the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Rome.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; three daughters, Cheryle DeSantis of Dresher, Pa., Rose Marie Barone of Clark Mills, N.Y., and Anne Demarte of Leisester, N.Y.; four stepdaughters, Robin Garrett of Rome, Terry Capitano of Morganton, N.C., Donna Robertaccio of Schenectady, N.Y., and Wendy Hood of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Nick, of Rome; three brothers, Robert, and Arthur, both of Rome, and Mario, of Clark Mills; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cathrine "Kate" M. Turk, 64, of Bradenton, died Dec. 6, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Shannon Funeral Home, 5610 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Service will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph W. Amory Jr. officiating. Born in Dover, N.J., Mrs. Turk came to Manatee County from East Stroudsburg, Pa., in 1988. She was the owner and manager of the Roadhouse Resort in East Stroudsburg, and a cruelty inspector for the humane society. She was Methodist. She was a member of the Humane Society of Manatee County, where she was a foster parent.
Survivors include her husband, Homer C. Sr.; a daughter, Sandra Greeley of Port Charlotte; two sons, Mark, of Bradenton, and Homer C. Jr., of Arkansas; two sisters, Alice Larsen of East Stroudsburg, and Donna Baldwin of Budd Lake, N.J.; two brothers, Larry Woodburn of Hackettstown, N.J., and Allen Woodburn of Budd Lake; and four grandchildren.

Maynard R. Trull, 85, of Hampton, Va., formerly of Manatee County, died Dec. 4, 2001, in Newport News, Va.
Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, Va. There will be no services. Burial will be held privately.
Born in Wingate, N.C., Mr. Trull came to Manatee County from Newport News in 1979. He was retired from Newport News Shipbuilding Corporation.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Kaye, of Hampton; a son, Randy, of Smithfield, Va.; a brother, J.B., of Yorktown, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Marjorie Beatrice Wishart, 89, of Bradenton, died Nov. 1, 2001, in Surrey Place Convalescent Center in Bradenton.
Service was in Michigan at an earlier date. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, Mich. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Mrs. Wishart came to Manatee County from Flint, Mich., in the 1960s. She was a homemaker. She was a soldier in The Salvation Army Bradenton Corps, a Sunbeam leader for many years, a Home League secretary, and she sang in the choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Bailey of Flint; four sons, Scott Cross and James Cross, both of Montrose, Mich., Douglas, of Bedford, Pa., and Bruce, of Bradenton; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Catherine M. Anderson, 95, of Sarasota, formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 2, 2001, in Sunnyside Nursing Home in Sarasota.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a rosary service conducted by the Legion of Mary at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 5624 26th St. W., Bradenton. Mass will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th St. W., Bradenton, with the Rev. John F. Costello officiating. Burial will be in Palmetto. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund, 2704 33rd Ave. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Johnstown, Nova Scotia, Canada, Mrs. Anderson came to Manatee County from St. Petersburg in 1959. She was the former owner of the River Terrace Nursing Home. She attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Legion of Mary. She was a former member of the Bradenton Garden Club "Palm Circle."
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hughes of Sarasota; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
