Jack A. Brazeau, 72, of Bradenton, died Nov. 28, 2001, at home.
Service will be private. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Mansion Chapel, Ellenton, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Brazeau came to Manatee County from there in 1993. He was a mechanical engineer and a master mechanic for CSX Systems in Toledo. He was Catholic. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Michelle, of San Diego; and a son, Jack A., of Monclova, Ohio.

Albert Kenneth Carlton Sr.
Midway Park, N.C.
Albert Kenneth Carlton Sr., 83, of Midway Park, N.C., formerly of Palmetto, died Dec. 2, 2001, at home.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, 303 Chaney Ave., Jacksonville, N.C., with the Rev. Elijah Heath officiating. Burial will be in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Onslow County Home Health and Hospice, 2013 Lejeune Blvd., Jacksonville, N.C. 28540.
Born in Fort Meade, Mr. Carlton was a former resident of Manatee County. He was employed with the U.S. government and was retired from John Deere in Florida. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Swansboro, N.C. He was a retired master chief from the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Vila E.; two daughters, Judith Ann Vargas of Chesapeake, Va., and Martha Ellen Heiser of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Albert Kenneth Jr., of Virginia Beach, Va., and Chris L., of Jacksonville; a sister, Lou Ouida Glenn of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother, Marshall Q., of Summerville, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gladys R. Dietrich
Sarasota
Gladys R. Dietrich, 84, of Sarasota, formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 2, 2001, in Tandem Health Care of Sarasota.
Service will be private. Inurnment will be in Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Family YMCA, 400 Edgemont Ave., Bristol, Tenn. 37620.
Born in Mohnton, Pa., Mrs. Dietrich came to Manatee County from Kingsport, Tenn., in 1995. She was a bookkeeper with the Mason and Dixon Lines for 20 years. She attended Waverly Road Presbyterian Church in Kingsport. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and the Women of the American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Clark of Bradenton, and Cindy Ferguson of Bristol, Va.; two sisters, Marion Strohl and Jeanne Hoffmaster, both of Reading, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Margaret Goodwin
Sarasota (Manatee County)
Margaret Goodwin, 99, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Nov. 30, 2001, in Casa Mora Rehabilitation and Extended Care in Bradenton.
Services will be in Woodside, N.Y. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Goodwin came to Manatee County from Selden, N.Y., in 1988. She was a homemaker. She attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Sarasota.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothea Sommer of Sarasota; a son, Joseph W., of Bradenton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Alice Kutz
Bradenton
Alice Kutz, 92, of Bradenton, died Dec. 3, 2001, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Bradenton.
There will be no service. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Easton, Pa. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Manasota Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Paterson, N.J., Mrs. Kutz came to Manatee County from Easton in 1978. She was a shipping supervisor and a bindery supervisor at Mack Printing Co. in Pennsylvania where she retired from in 1973 after 46 years of service. She attended Christ Lutheran Church. She was a past officer of William Parsons Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Easton, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Order of the Amaranth, both in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Lois May McCarty
Bradenton
Lois May McCarty, 80, of Bradenton, died Dec. 3, 2001, in Bradenton.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 8-11 a.m. Friday at Weathers Funeral Home, 106 S. Shelby St., Salem, Ind. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Brother Bob Holler officiating, followed by burial in Winslow Cemetery in Salem.
Mrs. McCarty was born in Washington County, Ind. She was retired from Faraloy in Salem. She was Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Dixie Soliday of Salem, Linda Rutherford of Campbellsburg, Ind., and Loretta Callis of Bradenton; two sons, Orville Laughlin Jr. of Boonville, Ind., and Donald Laughlin of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepson, Raymond, of Houston; a sister, Opal Laughlin of Madison, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Doris Paulene McDaniel
Bradenton
Doris Paulene "Paula" McDaniel, 90, of Bradenton, died Nov. 29, 2001, in Beverly Health Care of Bradenton.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Seymour, Ind., Mrs. McDaniel came to Manatee County from St. Petersburg. She was a secretary.
Survivors include a stepson, Richard, of Bradenton; and a sister, Opal Bock of Anderson, Ind.

James Edward "Eddie" Mullins
Youngstown, Ohio
James Edward "Eddie" Mullins, 50, of Youngstown, Ohio, formerly of Bradenton, died Nov. 28, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Service was at Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel, Bradenton, at an earlier date. The Rev. Brad Dennison officiated.
Born in Kingsport, Tenn., Mr. Mullins came to Manatee County from Sarasota. He was a former truck driver for the Manasota U.S. Post Office for 20 years and played bass locally with the Smokey Joe Band for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia; a daughter, Shanoa Michelle Berg of Youngstown; a stepdaughter, Tonya Eloise Hamilton of Holiday; a son, James Edward "Little Eddie" Jr., of Sarasota; a brother, Billy, of Kingsport; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

Robert L. Reed
Bradenton
Robert L. Reed, 82, of Bradenton, died Dec. 2, 2001, in Blake Medical Center.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton, with the Rev. Ellen Cross officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1230 S. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota, Fla. 34239-2601.
Born in Poland, Ohio, Mr. Reed came to Manatee County from Cleveland in 1979. He was a retired loan consultant from National City Bank in Cleveland. He was Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife, Norma E.; two daughters, Susan Pinney of Cary, N.C., and Sherry, of Swansboro, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Sandra Harris of Washington, N.C., and Rita Lambdin of Wimauma; a son, Henry M., of Timberlake, Ohio; a stepson, Larry Finkenbine of Greenwood, Ind.; two grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Edward N. Seaver, 79, of Palmetto, died Nov. 30, 2001, in Mariner Health of Palmetto.
Graveside service will be 10:45 a.m. Monday at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 1000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines. Burial will be in Bay Pines National Cemetery. Kicliter Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge of arrangements. Born in Springfield, Mass., Mr. Seaver came to Manatee County from York, Pa., in 1984. He was the head mechanic at a textile company. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Elks Lodge, both in York, and in West Springfield, Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne; a daughter, Kathleen Thrower-Wagar of St. Petersburg; two brothers, Robert, of Troy, N.Y., and William, of Springfield; and two grandchildren.
