Thomas I. Walquist, 95, of Sun City Center, formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 2, 2001, in South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Congregational United Church of Christ, 3700 26th St. W., Bradenton. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Mich. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Cortez Road Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge of arrangements. Born in Racine, Wis., Mr. Walquist came to Manatee County from Grand Rapids 30 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Alger Schwinn Cyclery for 15 years, was employed at National Cylinder Gas Co. for 20 years, and was a delivery person for Colonial Baking Co., all in Grand Rapids. He attended Cascade Christian Church in Cascade, Mich., and Congregational United Church of Christ. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Racine, an active 4H leader in Grand Rapids for 25 years, and a member of the Wyoming Kiwanis Club in Grand Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Mary H.; two daughters, Mary Voorheis of White Lake, Mich., and Dianna Trutsch of Lithia; two sons, Richard, of Grand Rapids, and Carl, of Byron Center, Mich.; two sisters, Frances Nelson of Bradenton, and Alice Tharinger of Austin, Texas; a brother, Harold, of Racine; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
William E. Blakeley II

William E. Blakeley II, 63, of Bradenton, died Nov. 26, 2001, at home.
There will be no service. Inurnment will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Mansion Chapel, Ellenton, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Blakeley came to Manatee County from there in 1990. He was Protestant.
Survivors include a sister, Noreen Evans of Yarmouth, Maine.

Nancy J. Castleman, 61, of Bradenton, died Nov. 29, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Cincinnati, Mrs. Castleman came to Manatee County from there in 1989. She was a homemaker. She was Presbyterian. She was a member of the Orchid Society of Manatee County.
Survivors include her husband, Ben; two sisters, Susan J. Dierks and Wanda Beckner, both of Bradenton; and a brother, Charles L. Schulze of Bradenton.

Stella K. Ellis, 84, of Holmes Beach, died Nov. 29, 2001, at home.

Born in Lyons, Wis., Ms. Ellis came to Manatee County from Homosassa in 1990. She was an executive secretary for the Ford Motor Co. in Detroit.

She attended Saints Peter and Paul The Apostles Catholic Church. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and Anna Maria Island Chapter No. 1601, and was a past Regent Certificate holder.
Survivors include three daughters, Corinne C. Yusi of Greenwich, Lorraine Kruczhiewicz of Coscob, Conn., and Rosanne Costanzo of Santa Clarita, Calif.; two sisters, Pauline Kendall of Delmar, N.Y., and Marie E. Esposito of Camillus, N.Y.; two brothers, August, of Rochester, N.Y., and Thomas, of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Chester W. Jones, 79, of Gloversville, N.Y., and winter resident of Palmetto, died Nov. 28, 2001, in Troy, N.Y.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Born in Providence, R.I., Mr. Jones was a winter resident of Manatee County for the past 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Jennie M. (McLean) Perry King, 94, of Palmetto, died Nov. 30, 2001, in Westminster Asbury Towers in Bradenton.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Ellenton Funeral Home, 3411 U.S. 301. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Levi Akkers officiating. Burial will be in Palmetto City Cemetery.
Born in Palmetto, Mrs. King was a lifetime resident of Manatee County. She was employed at the former Smith's Department Store in Palmetto for almost 25 years. She was a member of Palmetto Presbyterian Church. She was an inactive member of the Order of Eastern Star of Palmetto.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Perry Aldrich of Bradenton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

James Edward "Eddie" Mullins, 50, of Youngstown, Ohio, died Nov. 28, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at Shannon Funeral Home, 1015 14th St. W., Bradenton. Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brad Dennison officiating.
Born in Kingsport, Tenn., Mr. Mullins came to Manatee County from Sarasota. He was a former truck driver for the Manasota U.S. Post Office for 20 years and he played bass locally with the Smokey Joe Bank for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia; a daughter, Shanoa Michelle Berg of Youngstown; a stepdaughter, Tonya Eloise Hamilton of Holiday; a son, James Edward "Little Eddie" Jr., of Sarasota; a brother, Billy, of Kingsport; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Joy Lee Boyd, 73, of Holmes Beach, died Nov. 23, 2001.

Born in New Castle, Pa., Mrs. Boyd came to Manatee County from Frederick, Md., in 1991. She attended Christ Episcopal Church, where she was a chef and a volunteer for the Christ Episcopal Church Budget Box, and she was a costume designer for Danspace.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ross of Sarasota, and Kathryn, of Holmes Beach; a son, Michael D., of Jefferson, Md.; two sisters, Karol Cline of Pittsburgh, and Mary Ann Mathurin of Arizona; a brother, Russ Brett of Holden, Mass.; and five grandchildren.
