Madison "Golf Ball" Williams Jr., 71, of Bradenton, died Nov. 14, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home, 105 21st Ave. W., in Bradenton. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. E., in Bradenton, with the Rev. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will be in Adams-Fogartyville Cemetery.
Born in Lamont, Mr. Williams came to Manatee County from there in 1940. He was a cab driver. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Edna; a daughter, Sherryl Diana Axon of Bradenton; two sons, Reginald Lamar Sr., of Bradenton, and Darryl Cornelius Sr. of Ozark, Ala.; two sisters, Rosetta Newson and Maggie B. Slater, both of Bradenton; a brother, Herman, of Bradenton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

David D. Chacey Sr., 83, of Bradenton, died Nov. 13, 2001, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, 4635 26th St. W., in Bradenton. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. David G. Hinman officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge of arrangements. Born in Meriden, Kan., Ret. Col. Chacey came to Manatee County from Longwood in 1993. He was a city administrator for the city of Longwood from 1974-85 and a realtor for Markey Realty Inc. since 1993. He attended Hope Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars from 1943-73. He was a member of the Lions Club of Bradenton, the Retired Officers Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta D.; a daughter, Janice L. DiLavore of Palm Bay; two stepdaughters, Dr. Susan Haack of Williamsport, Pa., and Michele Cockshoot of East Moline, Ill.; a son, David D. Jr., of Lompoc, Calif.; a stepson, Thomas Haack of Midlothian, Va.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Alex T. Cheaves Jr., 36, of Palmetto, died Nov. 9, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at The Eleventh Street Church of Christ, 513 11th St. W., in Palmetto. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Green officiating. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Westside Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cheaves was born in Bradenton. He was an agriculture inspector for the State of Florida. He attended The Eleventh Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Anntoinette "Toni"; a son, Christopher, of Bradenton; his parents, Alex and Veronica, of Palmetto; two brothers, Dwane and Reggie, both of Palmetto; his paternal grandparents, George and Lucille, of Palmetto; and his maternal grandmother, Bessie Cummings of Bradenton.

Born in Starke, Ms. Dowling came to Manatee County from there many years ago. She was a laborer. She was Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene, and Paulette Cook, both of Bradenton; two sons, A.C., of Bradenton, and Morris, of Syracuse, N.Y.; a brother, David Albritton of Raiford; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Robert L. Fisher, 78, of Scottsville, N.Y., formerly of Bradenton, died Nov. 2, 2001, in the Jennifer Matthews Nursing Home in Rochester, N.Y.
Mass was at Saint Columba Church in Caledonia, N.Y., at an earlier date, with the Rev. Walter Plominski officiating. Interment was in Saint Columba Cemetery in Caledonia. Alhart Funeral Home, Caledonia, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Born in Wheatland, N.Y., Mr. Fisher came to Manatee County from Mumford, N.Y., approximately 15 years ago. He was a shipping clerk at Agway, a farm supply company in Geneva, N.Y., and he was retired. He was Catholic. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Mumford, a past commander of the Mumford Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a 4th-degree knight of the Knights of Columbus in Caledonia.
Survivors include three daughters, Nina Kasmark of Brockport, N.Y., and Darlene Taggart and Janet Church, both of Chili, N.Y.; a sister, Mary Freeman of Greece, N.Y.; three brothers, William, of Chili, Harold, of Wheatland, and Gerald, of Bradenton; and six grandchildren.

Born in Gonaives, Haiti, Mr. Gene came to Manatee County from there in 1983. He was a fruit receiver at Tropicana. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; three daughters, Clairmate Dorcely and Antonia Altidor, both of Bradenton, and Lashawnda, of Palmetto; four sons, Guillet, of Haiti, Leon Washington and Moise, both of Bradenton, and Calvin, of Palmetto; two sisters, Almaire and Dieu, both of Haiti; two brothers, Bertrard and Aubin, both of Haiti; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Hudson was born in Bradenton. He was a laborer.

Survivors include his wife, Ida; four daughters, Melissa, of College Corner, Ohio, Lynette Beasley of Austin, Texas, Gylaine Gilmore of New York, N.Y., and Jackie Stinson of Cross City; a son, James Moses of Sterling, Ill.; a sister, Marilyn Wright of Murphy, N.C.; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
