Agnes Kesler Schoon, 92, of Bradenton, died Oct. 28, 2001, in Freedom Village Nursing Center in Bradenton.
Memorial service will be noon Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3011 19th Ave. W., Bradenton, with the Rev. Daniel Hagmeier officiating. Inurnment will be in the Schoon Family Cemetery in Munster, Ind. Ellenton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Knox, Ind., Ms. Schoon came to Manatee County from Indiana in 1976. She was a retired elementary school teacher from Hammond, Ind. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, and she was an elder and a charter member at Highland Presbyterian Church in Indiana. She was a volunteer with Mission to Migrants in Lake County, Ind., and Meals on Wheels in Bradenton. She founded a remedial school for migrant children in Indiana. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, served on the Recreation Committee for the Bayshore Condo Association in Bradenton, and on twice with the Volunteers in Missions, Presbyterian Church USA.
Survivors include a son, Edward K., of Guerneville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
William "Bill" Watts

William "Bill" Watts, 77, of Bradenton, died Nov. 5, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Aaron officiating, followed by graveside military service and burial in Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Born in Clear Lake, Iowa, Mr. Watts came to Manatee County from Lansing, Mich., in 1970. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars, was a former prisoner of war in the Vietnam War and retired as a lieutenant colonel after 30 years of service. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2488 of Palmetto, Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 99 of Bradenton, and the Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Donia; four daughters, Donia VanDiver and Alice White, both of Bradenton, Robin Susie VanDiver of Ocala, and Denise Tannehill of Birmingham, Ala.; four sons, John VanDiver and Michael, both of Bradenton, Buzz, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and William C., of Phoenix; two sisters, Rosemary Smith of Longview, Wash., and Kathleen, of Mason City, Iowa; a brother, Robert Crabtree of Lake Elmo, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Irvin Eugene "Gene" Wolfe, 79, of Bradenton, died Nov. 6, 2001, in Bradenton.

Born in Hollywood, Calif., Mr. Wolfe came to Manatee County from Los Angeles in 1998. He retired in 1988 as a graphic artist from the Los Angeles County Government. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn M.; a daughter, Kathleen Applen of San Diego; three sons, Gregory, of Los Angeles, Brian, of London, and Daniel, of Bradenton; three sisters, Vivian Breard and Kathryn Songer, both of Los Angeles, and Carol Webb, of San Francisco; a brother, Harold, of Los Angeles; and nine grandchildren.

Myrtle A. Burg, 76, of Bradenton, died Nov. 3, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Many, La., Mrs. Burg came to Manatee County from McHenry in 2000. She was a analyst employed by Oak Industries. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Backer of Bradenton; four sisters, Irene Schamne of Moody, Ala., Helen Wilson of Buna, Texas, Ena Johnson and Mildred Burlison, both of Oakdale, La.; a brother, Ray Sandell of Louisiana; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Helen E. DeLesline, 90, of Sarasota, formerly of Bradenton, died Oct. 31, 2001, in Tandem Health Care of Sarasota.

Born in Cincinnati Mrs. DeLesline came to Manatee County from there in 1945. She was a homemaker. She attended St. Mary Episcopal Church, Palmetto.
Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie D. Demarest of Sarasota, and Judith E. Shively of Bradenton; a son, John T., of Terra Ceia; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Virginia W. Gipson, 86, of Bradenton, died Nov. 3, 2001, in Freedom Village Nursing Center, Bradenton.

Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. Gipson came to Manatee County from Benton Harbor, Mich., in 1978. She was a homemaker. She attended Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a volunteer for the March of Dimes for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Frederick H.; a daughter, Lauralee A. Inman of Bradenton; a brother, Earnest J. Gibbs Jr. of Gobles, Mich.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth "Drew" Estabrook, 78, of Bradenton, died Nov. 2, 2001, in Integrated Health Services of Bradenton.
Visitation will be 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home, 1015 14th St. W., Bradenton. Other services will be held under the direction of Naas and Son Funeral Home, Huntingburg, Ind. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Huntingburg.
Born in Mt. Vernon, Ind., Mrs. Estabrook came to Manatee County from Huntingburg in 1993. She was a medical technologist. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bradenton. She served with the U.S. Navy during World War II as a hospital corpsman. She was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Ladies Auxiliary, and the World War II Wave Association. She was a block captain at Bradenton Tropical Palms and a member of the Grandmother's Club there.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Thomas and Betty Sellars, both of Indianapolis; three sons, Bill of Columbus, Ohio, Lonnie, of Indianapolis, and Keith, of New York City; a sister, Helen Anderson of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Born in Kearny, N.J., Mr. Hartmann came to Manatee County from there in 1982. He was a public high school teacher of electronics, science and mathematics. He was an ensign in the U.S. Marine Corps, and a licensed radio operator in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of Bradenton; and a sister, Gloria Gallentine.

Herman Leowe, 81, of Bradenton, died Nov. 4, 2001, at home.

Born in Germany, Mr. Leowe came to Manatee County from New Rochelle, N.Y., in 1982. He was a police officer in New Rochelle. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of BPOE 1511, Police Benevolent Association, Retired Police Association and LST 860 Association.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; two sons, William of Silver Springs, Md., and Christopher of Clinton Township, Mich.; a sister, Susa Puttuck of St. George, Utah; and five grandchildren.

William Carey McCormack, 62, of Bradenton, died Nov. 4, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
