James F. McGann, 87, of Bradenton, formerly of Sarasota, died Nov. 3, 2001, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 3904 Cortez Road. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of God, 8893 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, with Pastor Rick Watt officiating. Griffith-Cline, Manasota chapel, in charge of arrangements.
Born in Chicago, Mr. McGann came to Manatee County from there in 1962. He was owner of McGann's Grill in Chicago. He attended First Church of God of Sarasota. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; a niece; and a nephew.

Christine A. Parker, 56, of Bradenton, died Nov. 4, 2001, at Integrated Health Services of Braden River, Bradenton.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave., E., Bradenton. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Level Baptist Cemetery, Live Oak.
Born in Sellersville, Pa., Mrs. Parker came to Manatee County from there in 1953. She was a contact lens inspector employed by Bausch and Lomb. She was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, William; two daughters, Christine L., Stanaland of Wimauma and Michele Johnson of Live Oak; a son, William Jr., of Bradenton; five sisters, Evelyn Hendrix of Sebring, Kathleen Hendry of Sun City, Joan Johnson of Jacksonville, Esther Bass and Elaine Yarghn, both of Live Oak; four brothers, Richard Anders of Atlanta, Robert Anders of Live Oak, Norman Anders of St. Petersburg, and Charles Anders of Appalachicola; her parents, Norman and Pearl Anders of Live Oak; and 10 grandchildren.

Lyudmila Borisovna Rudychenko, 53, of Palmetto, died Nov. 3, 2001, in Tampa Genera Hospital.

Born in Ukraine, Mrs. Rudychenko came to Manatee County from Storrs, Conn., in 1999. She was a cardiologist.
Survivors include her husband, Lev Yudovich; a son, Anton Rudychenko of Palmetto; and a sister, Tatyana, of Russia.
William "Bill" Thurbon

William "Bill" Thurbon, 72, of Ellenton, died Nov. 2, 2001, in Reba's House, an assisted living facility in Parrish.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, Fla. 32803.
Born in Slab Fork, W.Va., Mr. Thurbon came to Manatee County from Kokomo, Ind., 20 years ago. He was a retired supervisor for General Motors in Kokomo. He was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church in Crab Orchard, W.Va. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kokomo and was an avid historian.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; a daughter, Linda Barnes-Brookshire of Burlington, Ind.; two sisters, Alemeda Collins of Portsmouth, Va., and Pat Carpenter of Taylorsville, N.C.; a brother, Gilmer Wayne of Crab Orchard; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Robert James Wolverton

Robert James Wolverton, 32, of Alaska, formerly of Bradenton, died October 30, 2001, in a car crash in Eklutna, Alaska.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Big Lake, Alaska, with Deacon Schutt officiating. Valley Funeral Home & Crematory, Alaska, was in charge of arrangements.
Born in Livermore, Calif., Mr. Wolverton lived and worked in Bradenton in 1999 before returning to Wasilla, Alaska, where he had moved to at age 13 with his family. He worked as a commercial fisherman for a few years in the early 1990s then chose the field of electrical work. He lived in Anatuvuk Pass for a couple of years working in the power plant.
Survivors include his fianceŽ, Catherine Gettler; a daughter, Jamie Enderson-Wolverton, of Wasilla; his parents, Michael and Lennie Wolverton of Wasilla; a sister, Shannan, of Wasilla; a brother, Shawn, of Wasilla; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Margaret Wolverton of Arlee, Mont.; and his maternal grandmother, Alice Cronister of Stevensville, Mont.
Ralph P. Borchardt

Ralph P. Borchardt, 76, of Palmetto, died Nov. 1, 2001, in Sunbridge Rehabilitation in Bradenton.

Born in Milwaukee, Mr. Borchardt came to Manatee County from Sarasota in 1988. He owned the Driftwood Motel in Sarasota. He was Catholic. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Shadowbrook Shuffleboard Club; the Shadowbrook Computer Club; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 309, all in Palmetto.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; four daughters, Virginia Boglitsch of Waterford, Wis., Ann Nichols of Gainesville, Mary Yeager of Bradenton, and Therese Choy of Orlando; two sons, Ted of St. Petersburg, and Bill of Nokomis; a brother, Don of Pewaukee, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Betty Demarest, 73, of Fort Lauderdale, formerly of Bradenton, died Nov. 1, 2001, in Fort Lauderdale.
There will be no service. Infinity Cremations, Fort Lauderdale, is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Born in Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Demarest came to Manatee County from Hobart, N.Y., in 1974. She was a secretary. She was a member of the Bradenton Country Club.
Survivors include two sons, John A. of Valrico, and James J. of Fort Lauderdale; a sister, Wanda of Eagle, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Julia Henderson, 77, of Bradenton, died Oct. 31, 2001, in Hospice House of Bradenton.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John P. Marlow officiating. Born in Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Henderson came to Manatee County from Sanford in 1973. She was a retired machinist from Tropicana. She was Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Courtney of Bradenton; two sisters, Cecelia Roberts of Manning, S.C., and Ray Smith of Spring Hill; and two grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 912 53rd Ave. W., Bradenton, with the Rev. Jim Nilon officiating. Inurnment will be held privately in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Osganian came to Manatee County from Long Island, N.Y., in 1990. She was Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Donald, of New York City; and a sister, Eileen Maguire of Floral City.
