D. Francis Brosnihan, 84, of Paradise Bay, Bradenton died Sept. 8, 2001, in The Meadows, Leicester, Mass.
Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Church, 929 Main St., Worcester, Mass., followed by a reception at the Worcester Elks Lodge. National Cremation Service, 86 Copeland St., Quincy, Mass., is in charge of arrangements. Born in Worcester, Mass., Mr. Brosnihan came to Manatee County from Massachusetts in 1978. He managed the Worcester Lodge of Elks for many years before retiring in 1978. He previously worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Co. and Pat's Catering Service, Uxbridge, Mass. He was social director for Paradise Bay, a member of Palma Sola Golf Course and Hillcrest Country Club, Worcester. He was a member of the Elks and was Elk of the Year in 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M.; three daughters, Maureen A. Kouloris of Shrewsbury, Mass., Paula M. Pashoian of Spencer, Mass., and Patricia A. Grenier of Harwichport, Mass.; a son, Daniel F. of Leicester, Mass.; two sisters, Rita M. Bajorin of Worcester, Mass. and Marguerite M. Simmons of Shrewsbury, Mass.; a brother, John J., of Worcester, Mass., 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Elbert Lee Cochran, 91, of Sarasota, formerly of Ellenton, died Sept. 7, 2001, at the Pines of Sarasota.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel with Rev. Jerry Meyers officiating. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Born in Geneva County, Alabama, Mr. Cochran came to Ellenton in 1956. He was a retired farmer. He was Protestant.
Survivors include a son, Edward, of Sarasota; a sister, Eva Mae Hatcher of Chipley; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Margaret L. Goodrum, 90, of Bradenton, died Sept. 7, 2001, in Freedom Village Nursing Center.

Born in Corneilas, N.C., Miss Goodrum came to Manatee County from Chapel Hill, N.C. in 1993. She retired as director of nursing for the Veterans Administration after 25 years. She attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bradenton and the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was a U.S. Army major in nursing in World War II. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Duke University.
Survivors include a sister, Addie Mae Summerville of Davidson, N.C.; and a nephew, Jeffrey P. Sharp Sr. of Bradenton.

Walter W. Johnson, 94, of Bradenton, died Sept. 5, 2001, at home.

Born in Perry, Maine, Mr. Johnson came to Manatee County from Walden, N.Y., in 1967. He worked as an accountant. He was Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

Born in Forest City, Iowa, Mrs. Brickert came to Palmetto from Des Moines in 1990. She was a music teacher for the Des Moines school system and retired in 1990.

Born in Cleveland, Mr. Graham came to Manatee County from Fort Myers in 1994. He was a driver for General Electric Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M.; two daughters, Sharon Palinkas of Myakka City, and Gayle Palmer of Kirtland, Ohio; a brother, Ray, of Tigard, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
