Born in Clarion, Mr. Fulton came to Manatee County from there 27 years ago. He was the former owner of B.H. Fulton Lumber Co. in Clarion and a former teacher in Franklin, Pa. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bradenton and a trustee and elder at First Presbyterian Church in Clarion. He served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Shriners and Clarion Masonic Lodge No. 272 Free and Accepted Masons in Clarion for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Lynne Deal of Naples, Beverly Galbraith of Carlisle, Pa., and Gail Grejda of Clarion; a brother, Wayne, of Clarion; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Madelyn A. Green, 84, of Bradenton, died Aug. 25, 2001, in Casa Mora.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Green came to Manatee County from Brighton, Mich., in 1961. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas K. Meadus of Dearborn, Mich., Robert L. Meadus of St. Petersburg, and John G., of Holmes Beach; two brothers, Donald Schindler of Whitmore Lake, Mich., and George Schindler of Milton, Mass.; and four grandchildren.

Born in Detroit, Mr. Grushoff came to Manatee County from there. He owned a nursery and later worked at Frank's Nursery in Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Masons and B'nai Brith.

Elmer Townsend Hines, 83, of Bradenton, died Aug. 26, 2001, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bradenton.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today in the Worship Center at Sara Bay Baptist Church, 415 67th Ave. W., Bradenton. Service will be 7 p.m. today at the church, with Dr. William L. Ross officiating. Committal service will be held privately for the family Wednesday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, with military honors conducted by the Honor Guide Detail from the U.S. Fort Stewart Army Base in Georgia. Born in Potosi, Mo., Mr. Hines came to Manatee County from Sarasota eight years ago. He was a retired builder and finishing carpenter. He attended Sara Bay Baptist Church and was a former member of the Tri-City Baptist Church in Charlotte Harbor, where he served as an ordained deacon. He served as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Army with the 431st Fighter Squadron and the 475th Fighter Group during World War II. He served in New Guinea, the Philippines and Australia, where he received six Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Distinguished Unit Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a Sarasota Pioneer Day member, and he received the Grace Carr Good Neighbor Award in Sarasota.
Survivors include his wife, Edith L.; three daughters, Mary F. Ross of Bradenton, and Alice M. Wesley and Carol Bitting, both of Asheville, N.C.; a sister, Frances L., of Bradenton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Lima, Ohio, Mrs. Hoover came to Manatee County from Toledo, Ohio, in 1973. She was a retired bookkeeper from Palmetto Mobile Home Club after 27 years.

Born in Flushing, N.Y., Mrs. Miller came to Manatee County from Rushville, Ind., in 1952. She was a teacher in Manatee County, retired after 12 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Palmetto. She was a board member of the Manatee County Library Foundation, Manatee County Fair director emeritus and past president of the Women's Club of Palmetto.
Survivors include her husband, R.W. Sr.; a daughter, Kathleen M. Osgood of Bokeelia; three sons, Robert W. Jr., Mark D., and Grove T., all of Palmetto; and four grandchildren.

Mary C. Price, 93, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Bradenton, died Aug. 24, 2001.
