Thomas C. Edwards of Holmes Beach, FL and Franklin, NC passed away Nov. 8, 2003 in Bradenton, FL.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1913 in Waterloo, NY and was preceded in death by his parents Lola Howcroft Edwards and Charles Peter Edwards of Geneva, NY; brother Robert Edwards and his wife of 56 years, the former Arlene Gunnison of Canandaigua, NY.
He is survived by his son Dean Edwards of Hillsborough, NC; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Linda Edwards; two grandchildren Geoffrey and Mary Edwards of Bryant, AR; two brothers, Richard Edwards of Palmyra, NY, William Edwards of Newark, NY; loving friend, Ginny Garland of Holmes Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Tom served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific theater. After the war he owned shoe businesses in Wolcott, NY and Palmyra, NY. After moving to Holmes Beach, FL he owned in succession- Island Variety, Bay Area Insurance Agency and Bay Area Travel. Active in the community, he was past Exalted Ruler of the Wolcott, NY Elks and member of the Rotary in FL. Tom will be greatly missed for his generous heart, his joy for life and his love for golf and fishing.
Funeral service is private, however, memorials may be made to the West Manatee Hospice House, 2504 34th Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34205-3617 in his name or a charity of your choice.

Ruth T. Bailey, 78, of Bradenton, FL, died Oct. 27, 2003.
Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th St. W. Bradenton. Father Robert Tierney will be officiating. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Cortez Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Charleston, SC. Mrs. Bailey came to Manatee County from Norfolk, VA in 1977. She was a Secretary at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, VA for 14 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include daughter Patricia Ruth "Patti" Aston of Bradenton, FL; son Terry Aston of Oviedo, FL; sisters Nellie Thompson Amory of Hampton, VA; Violet Thompson Hurst of Virginia Beach, VA.; granddaughter Vicki Aston Vawter; great-grandchildren Karsen Alex Vawter and Ryan Walter Vawter; several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen (Kay) Griffee Williams Lockhart, 79, of Holmes Beach, FL, died Nov. 8, 2003 at her summer home, Shore Acres, in Solon Springs, WI.

Kenneth Eaton Fossa, 92, formerly of Rochester, NH, died Nov. 9, 2003 at Blake.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Fossa, Jr., of Bradenton; a sister, Virginia Smith of Boxford, MA; four grandchildren, Richard & Mark Fossa, Gina Mulcahy of Bradenton and John Fossa of Rochester, NH.; 12 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Michael R. Thibodeau, 52, of Bradenton, died Nov. 7, 2003.
Born Sept. 26, 1951 in Robinsdale, MN, he moved to Bradenton 46 years ago from MN. He enjoyed elephant collectibles, his computer, NASCAR, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carolyn; 2 daughters, Louann Pisani of Palmetto, FL and Michelle Tucker of Bradenton; two brothers, Tom of Tampa, FL and William of Bradenton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 12 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd St. Chapel, 604 43rd St. W, Bradenton with Dr. Mike Faust officiating.

Born June 12, 1919 in Raleigh, IL, he moved to Bradenton in 1983 from Berkley, MI. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a 3rd Degree Mason.
He is survived by two sons, Kermit D. of Bradenton and Gary Lee of Kinchlo, MI; a daughter, Mary Lou Reardon of Indian River, MI; a sister, Mildred Whitlock of Indiana; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Born June 11, 1926 in Sale City, GA, she moved to Bradenton in 1961 from Jacksonville, FL. She was the former co-owner of Brannen-Ganey Drug Store. She retired as a secretary for First Baptist Church of Bradenton and Island Baptist Church. She was a member of Zonta International and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church of Bradenton.
She is survived by her husband, W.T.; a son, William E. of Ozark, AL; a daughter, Floy M. Hoppe of Bradenton, FL; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd St. Chapel, 604 43rd St. W., Bradenton. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov 13 at the funeral home, with Rev. James Killoran officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad T. and daughter, Judith I. Daubert. She is survived by a son, Conrad R. of Melbourne, FL; a daughter, Carol F. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred L. Daldoss and a granddaughter, Susan A Sarkis. She is survived by her husband, Albert; a son, Thomas S. Ferrara of Bradenton; a daughter, Judy A. McCauley of Bradenton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
