Lori Ann Mientus
Lori Ann (Roy) Mientus, 40, died Nov. 9, 2003.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Memorial in Ellenton. The funeral will be held Thursday with a mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto at 10 a.m.
Lori is survived by her husband and best friend, Andrew Mientus of Ellenton. She is also survived by her mother, Joyce Person of Palmetto; her father and step-mother Charles and Pamela Roy of Palmetto. She leaves two sisters, Lee-Ann Roy of Warwick, RI and Caitlin Roy of Palmetto; two brothers Charles Roy Jr. and Tyler Allwood of Palmetto.
Lori was kind hearted, loving and generous. She would do anything for anyone.
She was loved by many and will be missed deeply.

Jessie Lee Cotterill, Bradenton
Jessie Lee Cotterill, 96, of Bradenton, died Nov. 8, 2003. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1-2 p.m. at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota Chapel, 1221 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton, FL. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Evansville, IN, Mrs. Cotterill came to Manatee County from Livonia, MI in 1969. She was a retired school teacher for public school system in Wayne, MI for 20 years. She attended Palma Sola Presbyterian Church, Bradenton, FL.
Survivors include her daughter Joan Geluso of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew.

Susie Bonanno, Bradenton
Susie Bonanno, 75, of Bradenton, died Sept. 30, 2003, at home.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th St. W. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Cortez Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Born in New York City, Mrs. Bonanno came to Manatee County from Pomona, N.Y., in 1989. She was a retired secretary who worked with medical records. She was Christian.
Survivors include her three daughters, Helen Christian of Valley Cottage, N.Y., Joan Babcock of Bradenton and Susan Bergstol of Suffern, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Delane Edwards, Palmetto
Delane Edwards, 48, of Palmetto, died Sept. 27, 2003, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Pentecostal of Faith, 2211 Third Ave. E., Palmetto. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Neal officiating. Burial will be in Adams Fogartyville Cemetery. Westside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Branchville, S.C., Mr. Edwards came to Manatee County from South Carolina in 1965. He was employed by Heartland Fertilizer, Palmetto. He was of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include three sisters, Olivia Miller of Palmetto, Mamie Lou King of Savannah, Ga. and Jessie Lee, of Bradenton; four brothers, Arthur Jr., of Branchville, Woodrow, of Bradenton, Laurie Sr., of Palmetto, and Wallace Sr., of Columbia, S.C.

Lowell Foster, Bradenton
Lowell "Bud" Foster, 47, of Bradenton, died Sept. 29, 2003, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Service will be 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Ave., Bushnell. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1750 17th St., Suite A, Sarasota, Fla. 34234.
Mr. Foster was born in Bradenton. He was a parts manager at Gravely of Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his mother, Audrey, of Bradenton; and two sisters, Kathy, of Clermont, and Linda Chancey of Plant City.

Amos H. Gass Sr., Bradenton
Amos H. Gass Sr., 73, of Bradenton, died Sept. 27, 2003, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Community Outreach Church, 1535 Seventh Ave. E. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Eleanor Gillyan officiating. Burial will be in Adams Fogartyville Cemetery. Westside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Sylvester, Ga, Mr. Gass came to Manatee County from St. Petersburg in 1959. He was retired from Walgreens. He was Christian. He was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Bradenton; two sons, Amos Jr., of Tallahassee, James Arthur, of Bradenton; five sisters, Hattie Pearl Milton of New York, Virginia Smith of Sylvester, and Ethel, Fleta Roberts and Cathy Collier, all of St. Petersburg; one brother, Raymond, of St. Petersburg; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Donald L. Gay, Brooksville
Donald L. Gay, 78, of Brooksville, died Sept. 1, 2003, at home.
Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Merritt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Dublin, Ga., Mr. Gay formerly lived in Bradenton and Sarasota. He was a minister and social worker. He was a Seventh Day Adventist. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice; three daughters, Donna Sprang and Melissa McKay, both of Bradenton, and Marianne Albritton of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, Matthew, and Paul, both of Franklin, N.C.; four sisters, Louise Green of Tampa, Penny Mott of New Port Richey, Betty Judy of Moorehaven and Judy Walker of Palmetto; two brothers, Wallace, of Live Oak, and Bobby, of Tallahassee; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

George W. Grimes, Bradenton
George W. Grimes, 79, of Bradenton, died Sept. 29, 2003, in Tampa.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Griffith Cline Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center Development Office, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Fla. 33612-9497.
Born in Stouchsburg, Pa., Mr. Grimes came to Manatee County from Virginia 24 years ago. He was a meat cutter at Giant Foods. He was secretary/treasurer of the meat cutters union Local 593 for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Victoria G. Ackers of Maryland and Debra D. Parks of Centerville, Va.; two sons, Larry L., of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Charles E., of Germantown, Md.; one sister, Lucille Stover of North Carolina; one brother, Martin, of Rockville, Md.; and five grandchildren.

Henry F. Harrington V, Bradenton
Henry "Hank" F. Harrington V, 43, of Bradenton, died Sept. 27, 2003, at home.
Memorial remembrance gathering will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the South Pavilion at Coquina Beach. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifelink, 409 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa, Fla. 33606.
Born in Fountainbleu, France, Mr. Harrington came to Manatee County from Columbia, Md., in 1988. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Lori J.; two daughters, Leigh A. Bennett and Jeannette N. Harrington, both of Bradenton; his mother, Nadine L., of Bradenton; and a sister, Nadine F. Harrington-Luck of Bradenton.

Donna Marie Jenkins, Palmetto
Donna Marie Jenkins, 67, of Palmetto, died Oct. 1, 2003, at home.
There will be no service. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Jenkins came to Manatee County from Westerville, Ohio, in 2001. She was Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband Albert "Don"; a daughter, Julie Wilson of Dublin, Ohio; a son, Michael, of Johnstown, Ohio; a sister, Judy Huss of Lucas, Ohio; a brother; her mother, Lillian Bell of Loudonville, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Darryl Scott Lauritzen, Parrish
Darryl Scott Lauritzen, 52, of Parrish, died Sept. 29, 2003, at home.
Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Saturday at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 11120 State Road 70 E. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Born in Milwaukee, Mr. Lauritzen came to Manatee County from Eden Prairie, Minn., in 2001. He attended Living Lord Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, Marlyce K.; a sister, Diana Forrest of Tampa; and two brothers, Randy, Waukesha, Wis., and Jeff, of White Lake, Mich.

Laura Bell Lewis, Bradenton
Laura Bell Lewis, 89, of Bradenton, died Sept. 29, 2003, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. E. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. James Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto. Westside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Unit at Blake Medical Center.
Born in Dawson, Ga., Ms. Lewis came to Manatee County many years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruthie Mae Waldon of Bradenton and Gwen Bryant of Sarasota; a brother, R.J. Lane of Bradenton; eight grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
