Ruth Bryant, 80, of Tallevast, died Sept. 11, 2003, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Bryant Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 1807 Tallevast Road, Tallevast. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Anthony O. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park. Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Tallevast. She owned Bryant's Grocery Store in Tallevast. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur; a daughter, Mary Laverne Montgomery of Tallevast; three sons, Arthur L. Jr., and Gerald, both of Tallevast, and James, of Bradenton; a brother, Robert Smith of Tallevast; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Discenza, Bradenton
Eleanor "Ellie" Discenza, 82, of Bradenton, died Sept. 17, 2003, in Hospice House of Bradenton.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 3904 Cortez Road W. Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 833 Magellan Drive, Sarasota. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Hudson, Pa., Mrs. Discenza came to Manatee County from Syracuse, N.Y., in 1985. She worked in sales at Dey Brothers Department Store in Syracuse for 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, where she was active in the prayer ministry. She was a volunteer for Hospice of Southwest Florida for more than 12 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo-Anne Weinberg of Eastchester, N.Y., and Eleanor M. Foehner of Safety Harbor; a stepgrandson; and two foster grandchildren.

Carole K. Foster, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Carole K. Foster, 70, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Bradenton, died Sept. 16, 2003, in Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs.
Service will be at a later date. Pikes Peak Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Cleveland, Mrs. Foster was a former resident of Manatee County from 1993-2003. She was a homemaker. She was Methodist. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Manatee Shrine Club.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew, of King, N.C., and Scott, of Colorado Springs; a brother, Kenneth Klingman of Bradenton; and four grandchildren.

Rose T. Ganning, Sarasota (Manatee County)
Rose T. Ganning, 72, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Sept. 16, 2003, at home.
Memorial Mass will be in Madison, N.J., at a later date. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Madison, Ms. Ganning came to Manatee County from there in 1994. She retired as a valve assembler and tester from Automatic Switch in Florham Park, N.J. She attended Saint Vincent's Roman Catholic Church of Madison and Saint Joseph's Catholic Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include two stepsons, Timothy J., of West Orange, N.J., and James M., of Landings, N.J.; a sister, Tina Lo Sapio of Carson City, Nevada; a brother, John Mastrobuono Jr. of Madison; and two grandchildren.

John B. Goff Sr., Bradenton
John B. "Nonie" Goff Sr., 79, of Bradenton, died Sept. 11, 2003, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Westside Funeral Home, 704 11th St. W., Palmetto. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2315 Fifth Ave. Drive E., Palmetto, with the Rev. Ruben Goff officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Born in Palmetto, Mr. Goff came to Manatee County from Rochester, N.Y., in 1999. He retired as a forklift operator from a chemical plant in New York. He was Methodist. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Bailey of Florida, and Sheryl Peters of Rochester; five sons, Ralph, of Tampa, Larry, of Las Vegas, Alex, of St. Petersburg, and Marshall, and John B. Jr., both of Rochester; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Frank M. Lawshe, Bradenton
Frank M. Lawshe, 69, of Bradenton, died Sept. 10, 2003, in Westminster Asbury Towers.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium, 1005 Barcarrota Blvd. The Good Earth Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Asbury Towers, c/o Activities Dept., 1533 Fourth Ave. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Mr. Lawshe was born in Denver. He was senior custodian at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was captain of the former Admiral Fleet, now known as the Miss Cortez.
Survivors include a daughter, Carmen, of Bradenton; a son, Brian, of Bradenton; and six grandchildren.

George J. Casey Sr., Palmetto
George J. Casey Sr., 84, of Palmetto, died Sept. 16, 2003, at home.
Memorial service will be at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Lancaster, Pa. Internment will be in Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Bausman, Pa. Kicliter Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 4151 37th St. E., Palmetto, Fla. 34221.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Casey came to Manatee County from Lancaster in 1982. He was an account executive for WGAL Radio and also worked at Barretts Chemical Co. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II in the Pacific theater as M.M. Second Class. He was past president, past vice president and past treasurer of Goodwill Industries in Lancaster.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa C.; a daughter, Theresa E. Bachman of Mountville, Pa.; three sons, George J. Jr., of Austin, Texas, Michael T., of Rawlinsville, Pa., and Thomas J., of Landisville, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.

Fay Shaver McGaughey, Bradenton
Fay Shaver McGaughey, 71, of Bradenton, died Sept. 15, 2003, in Bradenton.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park-Lakeside Mausoleum, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday at First Christian Church in Bradenton. The Rev. K. Wayne Brown will be officiating both services. Burial will be in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 1815 18th Ave. W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205. Moss-Feaster Serenity Gardens Chapel in Largo is in charge of the arrangements.
Born in Samoset, Ms. McGaughey came to Manatee County from Madeira Beach in 2001. She was a retired medical technologist for Bay Pines Veterans Administration Medical Center. She attended First Christian Church in Bradenton. She was past President of Gulf Beach Senior Women's Club, life member of Caravel Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, and past Princess of the 1971 Queen of Hearts Court.
Survivors include a daughter, Candace Lee McGaughey-Coletti, of Bradenton; a son, William K. "Bill," of Pinellas Park; a sister, Audrey S. Meade of Bradenton; and two grandchildren.

Casandra, Denise McNeil, Palmetto
Casandra Denise McNeil, 39, of Palmetto, died Sept. 16, 2003, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Westside Funeral Home in Palmetto is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. McNeil was born in Bradenton. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Victoria, of Palmetto; a brother, Alphonso Coley of Palmetto; her mother, Ruth Ann McNeil of Palmetto; and her maternal grandmother, Victoria McCray of Starke.

Ralph N. Sanniti Sr., Palmetto
Ralph N. Sanniti Sr., 84, died Sept. 15, 2003, in Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Cleveland.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at David Martens and Son Funeral Home in Cleveland. Service will be 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Bradenton Senior Citizens Shuffleboard Club, 1525 Eighth Ave. Drive W., Bradenton, Fla. 34205.
Born in Cleveland, Mr. Sanniti came to Manatee County from there in 1982. He was a retired production control manager for Ford Motor Co. He was vice president of the Shuffleboard Club. He was a Catholic. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as Master Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Dotile "Dottie;" three sons, Ralph N., of Parma, Ohio, Carl, of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Jim, of Cleveland; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Ruth Higgins, Tampa
Eleanor Ruth Higgins, 80, of Tampa and formerly of Bradenton, died Sept. 16, 2003, in Lakeshore Healthcare Facility in Tampa.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Lakeshore Villas Chapel, 16002 Lakeshore Villa Drive in Tampa. American Heritage Cremation Society is in charge of cremation. Burial will be in Erie, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to Life Path Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St. Tampa, Fla. 33609.
Born in Erie, Pa., Ms. Higgins came to Manatee County in 1988. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tunney and Jennifer Adams, both of Pennsylvania; a son, Scott Roach of Tampa; a sister, Mary Noble, of Dallas; a brother, Harry Russell, of Sebring, Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
