Theodore Edward "Ted" Guentner, 73, of Bradenton, died April 7, 2003, in Blake Medical Center.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 604 43rd St. W., with the Rev. Robert Kantor officiating. Born in West Allis, Wis., Mr. Guentner came to Manatee County from Greenfield, Wis., in 1985. He was a quality control engineer for Eaton Corp. Aerospace/Power and Load Management for 44 years. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, June D.; a daughter, Gail M., of Dallas, Ga.; two sons, Edward J., of Bradenton and Bryan L., of Sarasota; three sisters, Joyce Orlikowski of Racine, Wis., Ethel Schmid of Oak Creek, Wis., and Barbara Kasik of Greenfield; and a grandchild.
Eugene S. Klepek, Palmetto
Eugene S. Klepek, 87, of Palmetto, died April 8, 2003, in Hospice House of Sarasota.

Born in Chicago, Mr. Klepek came to Manatee County from Middleburg Heights, Ohio, in 1979. He retired as a plant supervisor for Club Aluminum Cookwear Co., and he was a former pilot with Northwest Airlines. He was Catholic. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a pilot. He was a lifetime member of the F.O.P. and a member of Palmetto Elks Lodge 2449.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Ann; a daughter, Cherie Cadle of Bradenton; two sons, Rick, of Howell, Mich., and Gene B. Jr., of Cleveland; a sister, Adeline Krause of Middleburg Heights; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Norman Leonard, Peterson, Ellenton
Norman Leonard Peterson, 79, of Ellenton, died April 8, 2003, in Blake Medical Center.
Service and burial will be in Massachusetts. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in South Easton Cemetery, South Easton, Mass.
Born in North Easton, Mass., Mr. Peterson came to Manatee County from Brockton, Mass., in 1976. He worked for National Biscuit Co. in Brockton for 34 years. He was Protestant. He was a member of Paul Dean Masonic Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in North Easton.
Survivors include his niece, Jody L. Marshall of Brekley, Mass.
Thomas L. Petty, Lutz
Thomas L. Petty, 91, of Lutz, and formerly of Bradenton, died April 10, 2003, in Tampa.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, Tampa. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, with the Rev. Harold Stoneman officiating.
Born in McAlpin, Mr. Petty was a former resident of Manatee County. He retired as a master carpenter. He was Protestant. He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union No. 140 and the Odd Fellows Lodge in Tampa.
Survivors include three daughters, Louise Griffin, Mollie Burkett and Jo Wilhelm; a stepdaughter, Betty Locke; a son, Eugene; a stepson, Bobby Joe Lee; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Clayton D. Snow Jr., 69, of Bradenton, died April 9, 2003, in Blake Medical Center.

Born in Tampa, Mr. Snow lived most of his life in Manatee County. He retired as an office manager for Bradenton Office Equipment after 40 years. He attended Bayshore Gardens Community Church. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman from 1953 to 1956. He was a past member of Braden River Boat Club, the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy J.; a daughter, A. Gail Henderson of Bradenton; a son, Ernest J., of Bradenton; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Marcia E. Williams, 92, of Palmetto, died April 9, 2003, in Columbia Station, Ohio.

Born in Kansas City, Mo., Miss Williams was a resident of Manatee County. She retired as an anesthetist nurse.

Born in Barberton, Ohio, Ms. Wise came to Manatee County from Akron, Ohio, in 1971. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bayshore Baptist Church. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and refurbished stuffed animals and gave them to organizations for needy children.
Survivors include a daughter, Luella Mace of Jacksonville; a son, Edwin C., of Bradenton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Curtis Stanberry, Palmetto
Curtis Stanberry, 59, of Palmetto, died April 9, 2003, in Mariner Health of Palmetto.
Service will be 12:30 p.m. today at Ellenton Funeral Home, with Charley Rowley officiating. Burial will be in Bushnell Cemetery next week.
Mr. Stanberry was a resident of Manatee County. He was a maintenance man. He served in the military.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Terpy of Salem, Va.

Born in Bucks County, Pa., Ms. Haslem came to Manatee County from there 24 years ago. She was a caregiver.
Survivors include four daughters, Tanya Martin, Diana Proulx, Ashley McCarrick and Maegan McCarrick, all of Bradenton; three sisters, Gena Lange of Bradenton, Sue Opdycke of South Carolina and Rosie Bielanski of New Jersey; five brothers, Doug Guyer of Pennsylvania, Tommy Macialek of New Jersey, Frank Macialek and Richey Macialek, both of South Carolina, and Ted Macialek of California; and two grandsons.
James D. Bowlus, Mequon, Wis.,, and Holmes Beach
James "Jim" D. Bowlus, 75, of Mequon, Wis., and a winter resident of Holmes Beach, died Feb. 21, 2003, at home in Holmes Beach.

Born in Milwaukee, Mr. Bowlus wintered in Longboat Key since 1991 and then in Holmes Beach since 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores "Dee"; a son, Brett, of West Bend, Wis.; two stepsons, Doug Radke of Mequon, and Dean Radke of Saukville, Wis.; a sister, Patricia Brunger of Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
