Born in Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Hayslip came to Manatee County from Hamilton, Ohio, in 1991. She was a waitress.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda McDonald of Bradenton; a son, Christopher, of Bradenton; a sister, Alicia Lakes of Bradenton, a brother, Larry Lakes of Bradenton; her father, Chester Lakes of Bradenton; and her grandmother, Donna Cunigan of Frankfort, Ky.
Della R. Mann, Bradenton
Della R. Mann, 93, of Bradenton, died Dec. 11, 2002, at home.
There will be no service. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th St. Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Mann came to Manatee County from Columbus, Ohio, in 1965. She was a homemaker. She was Protestant.
Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Gotshall of Sugarcreek, Ohio, and Ruth Atkinson of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Gordon Nelson, Bradenton
Gordon Nelson, 81, of Bradenton and Baileys Harbor, Wis., died Dec. 11, 2002, at his winter residence in Bradenton.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, 1805 30th Ave. W., with the Rev. Don Windmiller officiating. Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., Mr. Nelson wintered in Manatee County from Baileys Harbor since 1987. He owned and operated, with his wife, Nelson Shopping Center in Baileys Harbor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sister Bay, Wis., where he served as deacon for many years. He attended Bethel Baptist Church in Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He served as a school board member, a county board representative, town constable, justice of the peace and fire chief, all in Baileys Harbor.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis L.; three daughters, Carole Frykman of Sister Bay, Janice Burgess of Baileys Harbor, and Marjory Perrin of Atlanta; two sons, Paul, of Fort Lauderdale, and Gary, of Baileys Harbor; two sisters, Muriel Hansen of Kenosha, Wis., and Dorothy Hedeen of Sebring; two brothers, Kenmore, of Hendersonville, N.C., and Edwin, of Sturgeon Bay; and nine grandchildren.
James D. Norris, Bradenton
James D. Norris, 78, of Bradenton, died Dec. 9, 2002, in Doctors Hospital of Sarasota.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Norris came to Manatee County from Roseville in 1995. He was owner and operator of River City Wood Products in Hudson, Wis., retiring in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Foster of St. Paul, Eleanor Ann Grant of St. Paul, and M. Susan Norris-Murray of Longboat Key.
Charles Allan Peters, Bradenton
Charles Allan Peters of Bradenton and Monessen, Pa., 73, died Dec. 11, 2002, at his winter residence in Bradenton.
Memorial service will be at a later date in Pennsylvania. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pa. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Monessen, Mr. Peters came to Manatee County in the winters, starting in 1991. He was a retired mechanical engineer for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He attended the First Christian Church of Monessen.
Survivors include his wife, Eula; two daughters, Norma Jean Wunder of Irwin, Pa., Dawn O'Connor of Sterling Forrest, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Denise Hillman of Belle Vernon, Pa., and Dianne Eland of Belle Vernon; a son, Dean, of Vandalia, Ohio; three stepsons, Jerry Calcagni of Smithville, N.J., Dannel Calcagni of Star Junction, Pa., and Shawn Calcagni of Belle Vernon; a sister, Lillian Mack of White Plains, Md.; a brother, Earl, of Waynesburg, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Herman Salsky, Bradenton
Herman Salsky, 87, of Bradenton and Goldens Bridge, N.Y., died Dec. 10, 2002, in Bradenton.

Born in New York City Mr. Salsky wintered in Manatee County for many years. He was a retired professor of physics at New York City College of Technology and a professional civil engineer. He was a member of Odd Fellows and a member of the Professional Staff Congress of City University.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche; a son, Richard, of Tonasket, Wash.; a brother, Gerome, of Kinsport; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Rose Shereda, Bradenton
Rose Shereda, 103, of Bradenton, died Dec. 4, 2002, in Westminster Asbury Manor.

Born in Kimball, S.D., Miss Shereda came to Manatee County in 1952. She was a retired school teacher and a missionary in India. She was Baptist. She was a Sunday school teacher and participated in ministry works in the local jails.
Survivors include a niece, Peggy Landis of Bradenton.

Born in Rushville, Ill., Mrs. Street came to Manatee County from Indianapolis in 1984. She was a retired secretary for Gavin O'Brien Law Office. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald D.; two daughters, Karyl Esther Palmisano of The Woodlands, Texas, and Susanne Marie Clark of Ambler, Pa.; two sons, Scott Rowland, of New Port Richey, and John Lynn, of Carmel, Ind.; a sister, Mary Margaret Cooper of Mount Vernon, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Derrell R. Hollis Sr., 61, of Bradenton, died Oct. 30, 2002, in Palmetto Hospice House.
Services were held in Akron, Ohio. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th St. Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron.
Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Hollis came to Manatee County from Akron in 1986. He worked as a pipefitter for BF Goodrich in Akron and also was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Sarasota. He attended the West Bradenton Baptist Church. He was in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Martha A.; two daughters, Debby, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Cindy Kolocosky of Canton, Ohio; a son, Derrell R. Jr., of Akron; a sister, Mary Judson of Atlanta; and six grandchildren.

Albert S. Marshall, 72, of Palmetto, died Dec. 7, 2002, at home.

Born in Millville, N.J., Mr. Marshall came to Manatee County from Ocala. He retired as a courier for Closet Organizer Manufacturer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a life member of American Legion Kirby Stewart Post No. 24, Bradenton; a life member of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter No. 149; and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 2488, Palmetto.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Carol Baldwin of Ocala, and Jayne Ovett of Boca Raton; a sister, Florence Freiling of Millville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Michael, William Micochero, Sarasota
Michael William Micochero, 62, of Sarasota, and formerly of Bradenton, died Dec. 8, 2002, at home.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, Mr. Micochero came to Manatee County from there in 1984. He was the former owner of Southern Village Shoe Repair in Springfield. He attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, Sarasota. He served in the U.S. Army. He was past president of the Italian American Club in Springfield and former church parish festival director in Springfield.
Survivors include his wife Anne; two daughters, Sheila Holt of Portland, Ore., and Toni Green of Bradenton; two sons, Marc, and Mike, both of Bradenton; his mother, Helen, of Sarasota; and seven grandchildren.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, Mr. Pease came to Manatee County from Kettering, Ohio. He wintered here since 1982 and became a permanent resident in 1998. He was a retried manager at Groby's Greenhouse in Kettering, for more than 30 years. He was Presbyterian. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Woodall of Centerville, Ohio; a son, Stephen, of Bradenton; and two grandchildren.
