Born in New York City, Mr. Donovan came to Manatee County from there in 1976. He was a retired mechanical engineer for Con Edison Co. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council in New York.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Donovan-Davis of Big Canoe, Ga., and Jean Goff of Miami; and a grandchild.

Jean Sikes Dunlop, 71, of Bradenton, died Nov. 19, 2002, in Westminster Asbury Towers Health Center.

Born in Elida, Ohio, Mr. Faust came to Manatee County in 1988 from Columbus, Ohio. He retired from Whitehall High School as a science teacher after 31 years. For the past nine years, he served as an assistant teacher at Bayshore High School. He was a U.S. Navy cook during World War II. He was a past member of American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24.
Survivors include his wife, Ida R.; two daughters, Sheri Hupp of Columbus, and Robin Fausnaugh of Bradenton; two sons, Michael Scheen of Columbus, and Kent D. Stires of Bradenton; a brother, Paul D., of West Jefferson, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ann M. Gilbert, Bradenton
Ann M. Gilbert, 80, of Bradenton died Nov. 26, 2002, in Hospice House of Bradenton.
Memorial service will be private. National Cremation Society Sarasota Chapter is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Born in Spankler, Pa., Mrs. Gilbert came to Manatee County from Detroit 24 years ago. She was Catholic.
She is survived by her son, Robert, of Canton, N.C.

Helene Sywolski, 88, of Bradenton, died Nov. 27, 2002, in Freedom Village Nursing Center.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at Toale Brothers Bradenton Chapel, 912 53rd Ave. W., Bradenton. Service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th St. W., Bradenton. Burial will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Sywolski came to Manatee County from Albertson, Long Island, N.Y., 25 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include her husband, John; a son, Robert, of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Edward Hoppe, Palmetto
Edward Hoppe, 75, of Palmetto, died Nov. 25, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., Mr. Hoppe came to Manatee County from Cassadaga, N.Y., in 1994. He retired as a landscape architect.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia, of Ogden, Utah, and Jovita Houston of Copperascove, Texas; a son, Theodore, of Haineport, N.J.; a sister, Annette Wolfe of Lysander, N.Y.; two brothers, Richard, of Canastata, N.Y., and Robert, of N. Syracuse; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Joan Cooprider Shewmaker, 72, of Bradenton, died Nov. 26, 2002.

Born in Terre Haute, Mrs. Shewmaker came to Manatee County from New York City. She worked in banks in three states. She was a painter, joined the Findlay Art League, in Findlay Ohio, and served as its president. In Bradenton, she was an Art and Crafts Show professional promoter for southwest Florida for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Cooprider of Terre Haute, two sisters, Jean Pugh and Lois Brentlinger, both of Terre Haute.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Manatee Amateur Radio Club - K9LBO and was a Little League coach in Hobart, Ind.
Survivors include his wife, Kay M.; a daughter, Donna M. Cramer of Bradenton; three sons, Fredrick R., of Portage, Ind., Eric, of Michigan City, Ind., and Michael S. Troman of Suwanee, Ga.; a sister, Linda Kozlowski of Wanatah; his mother, Rachael M. Goetz of Wanatah; and four grandchildren.
