Douglas "DQ" Jordan, 58, of Palmetto, died Oct. 25, 2002, at home.
A gathering of family and friends will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Emerson Point on Sneads Island, with military honors conducted by American Legion Kirby Stewart Post No. 24 of Bradenton. Born in Bradenton, Mr. Jordan was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He retired as a service installer from Lucent Technology after 34 years of service. He was Baptist. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 309 of Palmetto.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, Darrin, of Denver, and Edward Miller III of Korea; a sister, Delores King of Myakka; a brother, Larry, of Palmetto; and a grandchild.
Bernard Levine, Bradenton
Bernard Levine, 69, of Bradenton, died Oct. 24, 2002, in Bradenton.
There will be no service at this time. Sarasota Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Levine came to Manatee County from there 40 years ago. He was a security guard. He was Jewish. He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Vivian Ebel of Chicago; two sons, Lawrence, of Washington, D.C., and Geoffrey, of Bradenton; his mother, Gertrude Zabor of Brooklyn; a sister, Murel Zabar of Fort Lauderdale; and a grandchild.

Edith Lint, 100, of Osprey, formerly of Bradenton, died Oct. 27, 2002, in Palm Harbor.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Manasota Memorial Park Rotunda, 1221 53rd Ave. E., with the Rev. Steve Winemiller officiating. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park. Born in Vanderbilt, Pa., Mrs. Lint came to Manatee County from Perryopolis, Pa., in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was Methodist.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Vanett of Tarpon Springs; two sons, Charles A., of Perryopolis, and Walter R., of Osprey; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

George T. Mahar, 44, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Oct. 22, 2002.

Born in Sarasota, Mr. Mahar came to Manatee County from Germany in 1995. He was a musician. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three sisters, Susan Ann of Cincinnati, Luann Minton of Sarasota, and Deborah Lidberg of Camino, Calif.; and a brother, Robert B. Owens of Sarasota.

Willie Mae Mitchell, 78, of Bradenton, died Oct. 23, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m., followed by service at 6 p.m., today at Rogers Memorial United Methodist Church, 1100 15th St. E., with the Rev. St. Claire D. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park.
Born in Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Mitchell came to Manatee County from St. Augustine in 1969. She was a homemaker. She attended Rogers Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Jean and Gloria Yvonne, both of Bradenton; and a sister, Eva Williams of Palmetto.

Eileen Hudson Moult, 79, of Bradenton, died Oct. 26, 2002, in Tender Loving Care, an assisted living facility.

Born in Homestead Park, Pa., Mrs. Moult came to Manatee County from Murrysville, Pa., in 1986. She was a retired pediatric nurse practitioner and taught at the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the National Philanthropic Education Organization.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; a daughter, Eileen Clauser of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sons, William, of Mt. Sunapee, N.H., Charles, of Bradenton, and James, of Atlanta; a sister, Dorothy Best of Bradenton; and seven grandchildren.

Born in Evanston, Ill., Mr. Seabert came to Manatee County from Glenview, Ill., in 1995. He was a maintenance mechanic at Northwestern University for 28 years. He attended Palmetto Drive-In United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Frances "Fran"; three daughters, Julie Bodensteiner of Red Wing, Minn., Connie J. Tripple of Glenview, and Kathie L. Kelly of Aledo, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Froberg of Sweden; a brother, Thomas, of Galena, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

Born in Bedford, Pa., Mrs. Shenefelt came to Manatee County from Huntingdon, Pa., three years ago. She was a retired school nurse from the Huntingdon County school system. She was Lutheran. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include a son, Willard Raker of Bradenton; a sister, Dorcas Taylor of Cocoa Beach; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Born in Jasper, Ark., Mrs. Standifer came to Manatee County from Charlotte Harbor in the early 1960s. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bradenton, where she taught an adult Sunday school class.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Robert Thomas Standifer of Tequesta, and Wayne Edgar of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Virgie Geiger of Hillsborough, N.C., and Dorothy Boyle of New York City; a brother, Monroe Peake of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Born in Franklin, Mr. Alexander came to Manatee County from there in 1989. He worked for a Chevrolet dealer in Franklin and was the mayor of Franklin in the 1950s. He was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ in Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Indiana Masonic Lodge and National Historical Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce, of Bradenton, Ellen, of Indianapolis, and Myra Steinke of Delavan, Wis.; a sister, Dorothy Ettinger; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Born in New York City, Mrs. Buckley came to Manatee County from there in 1989. She was an executive secretary in the import/export industry. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel; two daughters, Lauren Donadio of Long Island, N.Y., and Lee Fizer of Fredericksburg, Va.; a son, Daniel Jr., of Naples; and 10 grandchildren.
