Born in Pittsburgh, Mrs. Burger came to Manatee County from there in 1999. She was an executive secretary for H.J. Heinz. She was Lutheran.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Shelton of Bradenton; a son, Glenn, of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren.

David T. Carolus, 64, of Bradenton, died Oct. 13, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Winchester, Ky., Mr. Carolus came to Manatee County from Silver City in 1999. He was an industrial engineer with General Motors for 30 years in Dayton, Ohio. He was also a retired certified flight instructor. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Kirby Stewart Post No. 24 in Bradenton; and the The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Loyal Order of Moose, and The Lions Club, all in Silver City. He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Silver City and Sarasota/Bradenton.
Survivors include his wife, C.J.; two daughters, Lisa Clark of Dayton, Ohio, and Crystal Barker of Terre Haute, Ind.; four sons, Dave Lee, of Flagstaff, Ariz., Gregory Matthew, of Orlando, and Gregory William Linkhart and Bryan Linkhart, both of New Vienna, Ohio; a sister, Jayne Elmore of Las Cruces, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

John Andrew Eadens, 50, of Bradenton, died Oct. 13, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Bradenton, Mr. Eadens was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He was a caregiver for his grandmother. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his grandmother, Margaret Felt of Bradenton; three sisters, Peggy Damron of Wimauma, and Laura Craynon and Debbie, both of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and a brother, Sean, of Jeffersonville.

Russell "Rusty" Ferguson, 55, of Bradenton, died Oct. 10, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in South Bridge, Mass., Mr. Ferguson came to Manatee County from Port Richey in 2001. He was a maintenance worker for the Beach Castle of Longboat Key. He was Roman Catholic. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; a daughter, Brianne Irizarry of Port Richey; two brothers, Daniel Peters of Hudson, and Robert, of Hawaii; and his father, Robert, of Port Richey.

Born in Somerville, Mass., Mrs. Gallagher came to Manatee County from Framingham, Mass., in 1977. She was a retired office manager at Beneficial Finance Company in Massachusetts. She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church.
