Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Hofer came to Manatee County from there in 1971. She retired as a fabric saleswoman for Wolf & Dessauer and was a former claims adjuster for Lincoln National Life, both in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Yen of Windsor, Calif., and Patricia Wareberg of Cumberland in Ontario, Canada; a son, Michael J., of Palmetto; a sister, Betty J. Dennis of Fort Wayne; a brother, Bob F. Jesse of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mary Agnes Koper, Bradenton
Mary Agnes Koper, 83, of Bradenton, died Aug. 29, 2002, in Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation of Bradenton.
Visitation and service were at an earlier date in Wilmington, Del., with the Rev. Francis B. Koper officiating. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. Born in Wilmington, Mrs. Koper came to Manatee County from there in April. She was a homemaker. She was Roman Catholic. She was a member of Saint Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church Holy Rosary Society, Mothers Guild and Parish Council; and a member of the Diocese of Wilmington Mothers Guild.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Francis, of Orchard Lake, Mich., and Ronald J., of Bradenton; a sister, Theresa Kozlaski of Greenwood, Del.; a brother, Adam Grott of Wilmington; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert W. Marlyne, 73, of Palmetto, died Sept. 11, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Boston, Mr. Marlyne came to Manatee County from Ashford, Conn., in 1997. He retired as a driver for Greyhound, serving from 1954-86. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Lisa Ingemi of Conway, N.H., and Deborah Britton of Gansevoort, N.Y.; two sisters, Muriel of Largo, and Vera, of Dunedin; a brother, James, of Sagamore, Mass.; and five grandchildren.

Born in Capac, Mich., Mrs. Merrill came to Manatee County from Jackson, Mich., in 1949. She was the co-owner of Spotless Spot Restaurant. She was Methodist.

Survivors include her companion, James P. Blue; three daughters, Tamara J. Meneely and Stephanie S. Cole, both of Bradenton, and Daphne A. Liberge of Sarasota; a son, Michael L. Davis of Gibsonton; and 10 grandchildren.
