Robert E. Miller, 78, of Myakka City, died Sept. 10, 2002, at home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 3904 Cortez Road W. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3400 Cortez Road W. Entombment will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
Born in McDonald, Ohio, Mr. Miller came to Manatee County from Michigan in 1970. He was a building inspector for the city of Bradenton. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Iva; two stepdaughters, Betty Fredell of Flint, Mich., and Dona, of Ellenton; a sister, Betty Hass of Michigan; a brother, James C., of Ellenton; a halfbrother, William Furden of Grand Blan, Mich.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth Nollner, Sanford, Ocala
Elizabeth Nollner Sanford, 88, of Ocala and a former resident of Bradenton Beach, died Sept. 10, 2002, in Ocala Regional Medical Center.
There will be a memorial service at a later date in Alabama. Hiers Funeral Home in Ocala is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Mississippi, Mrs. Sanford is a former resident of Manatee County. She retired as a school teacher for Walker County school systems in Alabama. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ocala. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas, of Silver Springs, and E. Donald, of Hawthorne; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Casimir Stark, Bradenton
Casimir "Casey" Stark, 95, of Bradenton, died Sept. 10, 2002, in Westminster Asbury Manor.

Born in France, Mr. Stark came to Manatee County from Federalsburg, Md., in 1978. He was a retired salesman for a commercial distribution wholesaler. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Hurlock, Md. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Emma L. Strubble, 96, of Bradenton, died Sept. 9, 2002, in Tallahassee Community Hospital.

Born in Kingston Township, Mich., Mrs. Strubble came to Manatee County from Montgomery, Ala., in 1962. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Palma Sola Presbyterian Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence, of Tallahassee; a brother, Clifford Ryan of Maybank, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Myrl S. Allman, 98, of Bradenton, died Sept. 7, 2002, in Freedom Village Nursing Center.

Born in Jane Lew, W.Va., Mrs. Allman came to Manatee County from Charleston, W.Va., in 1969. She was a former employee of B&O Railroad and the West Virginia Water Co. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include four nieces, Lucille Miller of Bradenton, Carol Straley, Thaylia Disbennet, and Mary Martha Rudolph, all of Gahanna, Ohio; and a nephew, Scott Straley of Littleton, Colo.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; a son, Thomas L. III, of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Patricia Birbeck of Vermont; a brother, C. Richard, of North Royalton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Born in Providence, R.I., Mr. Duffy came to Manatee County from Cranston, R.I., in 1990. He was a detective with the Cranston Police Department from 1966 to 1989 and the Bradenton Beach Police Department from 1990 to 2002. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Police Officers and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 14 in Cranston.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Doreen A., of Cranston; two stepdaughters, Nina Bisceglia of Cranston, and Jenifer Bisceglia of Gainesville; three sons, Matthew T. III, of Boston, Kevin A. and Michael S., both of Cranston; two sisters, Rose Helen Barrie of Cranston, and Barbara Stanley of Warren, R.I.; and a grandchild.

Born in Houghton, Mich., Mr. Rutledge came to Manatee County from Royal Oak, Mich., in 1953. He was the owner of Jack's Dry Cleaning for 20 years. He was Methodist. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Sally Stewart of Bradenton, and Patty Brown of Dallas; a brother, Roy, of Zephyrhills; and two children.
