Donna "Cookie" Ford Warren Ness, 68, of Cochran, Ga., formerly of Manatee County, died Aug. 11, 2001, in Cochran.
Memorial service will be Jan. 24 in Skyway Memorial Gardens, 5200 U.S. Highway 19 N., Palmetto. Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Cochran, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Ness came to Manatee County from Ohio in 1946. She was a retired nurse. She was a member of the Independent C.B.ers, the Disabled American Veterans auxiliary, and the American Legion auxiliary.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Iris Warren of South Carolina; two stepsons, Milton Warren of Warrenville, S.C., and George Ness Jr. of Zephyrhills; four sisters, Belle Wiles and Pam Sellars, both of Bradenton, Nancy Fifield of High Falls, Ga., and Sandy Grimsley of Cochran; and two brothers, Homer A. Ford of Sarasota, and Glen Arthur Ford of Cochran.

Kevin John Rearick, 46, of Bradenton, died Dec. 23, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.

Born in Midland, Mich., Mr. Rearick came to Manatee County from Michigan in 1979. He was a painter. He attended Church of the Cross in Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Marines.
Survivors include two sons, Cameron John, and Matthew Robert, both of Bradenton; a sister, Nancy McKinnon of Moline, Ill.; and three brothers, Robert J., of Lake Placid, and William Craig and Scott, both of Atlanta.
Michael Joseph Rozamus

Michael Joseph Rozamus, 85, of Holmes Beach, died Jan. 14, 2002, at home.
Memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Roser Memorial Community Church, 512 Pine Ave., Anna Maria. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Born in Manchester, N.H., Mr. Rozamus came to Manatee County from Alexandria, Va. He was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation during the 1970s and taught criminalistics at Manatee Junior College. He was a member of Roser Memorial Community Church. He served in the military on various aircraft carriers as a test pilot during World War II. He was a member of the Early and Pioneer Naval Air Association, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, the Key Royale Club and American Legion Post No. 24 of Bradenton.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; three daughters, Kathleen Michaels of St. Petersburg, Cynthia, of Red Lodge, Mont., and Mary Reese of Holmes Beach; a sister, Alberta Smith of Manchester; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Addie Mae Taylor, 73, of Palmetto, died Jan. 12, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Turners Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 317 11th St. W., Palmetto. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Paul B. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Westside Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Palmetto, Miss Taylor was a lifetime resident of Manatee County. She was a retired nurse's assistant from Manatee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Turners Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her companion, Henry Anderson of Palmetto; two daughters, Gwendolyn Brown of Palmetto, and Francene Hazel of Tampa; two sons, Leroy Brown of Palmetto, and Eldred Brown of Bradenton; two brothers, James Brown of Palmetto, and Arthur Lee Brown of Rialto, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Franklin S. Taylor, 91, of Vero Beach, formerly of Bradenton, died Jan. 14, 2002, in Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Strunk Funeral Home, 916 17th St., Vero Beach. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Treasure Coast Assembly of God Church in Vero Beach, with the Rev. Donald F. Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons, Indian River Camp, P.O. Born in Cleveland, the Rev. Taylor was a former resident of Manatee County. He was Protestant and pastored churches in Cleveland, Plant City and Bradenton.
Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Donald F. of Eastover, S.C., Ralph R., of Lakeland, and Robert E., of Olathe, Kan.; a brother, Edward, of Vero Beach; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jimmie Lee Turner, 77, of Palmetto, died Jan. 13, 2002, in Bay Pines VA Hospital.

Born in Huntington, W. Va., Mr. Turner came to Manatee County from there in 1967. He was a retired artist/painter. He was Protestant. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Palmetto, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Huntington.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Mercer and Linda, both of Palmetto; two sons, Wayne, of Huntington, and Lee, of Portland, Tenn.; two brothers, Gilbert, of Chicago, and Roy, of Warren, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Kitty Lane; a daughter, Rhonda Parsley of Sarasota; two sons, Wayne, of Clarkesburg, Ohio, and Darrell, of Orient, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

George R. Bender, 80, of Bradenton, died June 3, 2001, at home.

Born in Hungary, Mr. Bender came to Manatee County from Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1981. He was an assistant manager for W.R. Grace, New York. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former member of the Elks.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, George R. Jr., of Staten Island, N.Y., and Rob, of Murphy, Texas; a sister, Katherine M., of Bradenton; and two grandchildren.
