Service will be held in Bohemia, N.Y. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, N.Y. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Barnett came to Manatee County from Lake Ron Kon Koma, N.Y., in 1991. She was a homemaker. She was Methodist.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth F. Abrams of Bradenton.

Frank D. Batteiger, 80, of Palmetto, died June 12, 2001, in Integrated Health Services of Braden River.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Mr. Batteiger came to Manatee County from Columbus, Ohio, in 1986. He was a commercial electrician. He attended Palmetto United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Masons and Electrician Local Union No. 683.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; a daughter, Christy Dafler of Sylvan Lake, Mich.; a son, Richard, of Stillwater, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Frederick Baumgarten, 96, of Bradenton, died June 9, 2001, in Freedom Village.
There will be no service. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Park Service, 40001 State Road No. 9336, Homestead, Fla. 33004.
Born in Dedham, Mass., Mr. Baumgarten came to Manatee County from Rye, N.H., in 1967. He was a mechanical engineer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 27 years and as the chief designer of the nuclear submarine the Thresher.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Collins of Alfred, Maine; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Kizzie Blevins, 79, of Bradenton, died June 6, 2001, at home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home, 105 21st Ave. W. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Williams officiating. Burial will be in Adams-Fogartyville Cemetery.
Born in Live Oak, Ms. Blevins came to Manatee County from there many years ago. She was a homemaker. She was Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Pearlie Mae Womack of Wimauma, and Julia Mae McDaniel and Maggie Gardner, both of Bradenton; four sons, Jessie McDaniel of Plant City, Leverge McDaniel of Palmetto, Julius McDaniel of Jacksonville, and Joe Louis McDaniel of Bradenton; a sister, Frankie Mae Snead of Live Oak; two brothers, John L. Rentz and Jimmie Rentz, both of Bartow; 26 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Born in Empire, Ga., Mrs. Helm came to Manatee County from there in 1923. She was a homemaker. She was Methodist.

Francis M. Huffman, 70, of Bradenton, died June 12, 2001, at home.

Born in Pikeville, Ky., Mr. Huffman came to Manatee County from there in 1957. He was a retired director of adult education from the Manatee County School Board and a retired teacher from Southeast High School and Walker Jr. High School, both in Bradenton. He attended Island Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was past president of the Palmetto Lions Club and the Poke-A-Dots of Bradenton, and a member of the Blinded Veterans of America.
Survivors include his wife, Ardith J.; two daughters, Melanie Shapiro of Palm Harbor, and Rebecca Gaines of Valrico; a son, Francis Patrick, of Lino Lakes, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.

Born in Tampa, Mr. Jones came to Manatee County from there in 1990. He was a roofer. He was Pentecostal.
Survivors include his wife, Elnora; two daughters, Deborah Payne of Bradenton, and Marilyn Price of Palmetto; four sons, Levi Jr., of Tampa, Willie Charles Scott and Shedrick Scott, both of Bradenton, and David Reed of Sarasota; three sisters, Inez Mosely of California, and Barbara Elliot and Mathews Ballard, both of Tampa; a brother, Cordelle, of Tampa; 28 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Marilyn E. Stewart, 75, of Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of Bradenton, died June 12, 2001, in Heartland of Chillicothe.

Born in Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Stewart was a former resident of Manatee County. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 411, Kingston, Ohio, for 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Russell; a daughter, Susan Adkins; four sons, Douglas Ortman of Chillicothe, Ed Reid of Bradenton, Tom Scott Conrad of Tampa, and Terry Reid of Atlanta; a sister, Evelyn Browning of Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Triana, 96, of Palmetto, died June 11, 2001, in Mariner Health of Palmetto.

Born in Braunt, N.Y., Mr. Triana came to Manatee County from North East, Pa., in 1965. He was a tool and die maker at Ford Motor Co., and he owned Triana's Landscaping. He attended Hope Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Tafoya of Lake Placid; a sister, Saraphine Haddad of Cleveland; a brother, Louis, of Bradenton; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
