Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Southeast High School Auditorium, 1200 37th Ave. E., with the Rev. Ronald R. Fortune officiating.
Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto.
Mr. Dixon was born in Bradenton. He was a laborer. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his mother, Gale Hird of St. Petersburg; his father, Vernon Sr., of St. Petersburg; three sisters, Karesha Hird of Fort Lauderdale, and Amanda and Margaret, both of St. Petersburg; two brothers, Julian, of Bradenton, and Jeffery, of St. Petersburg; and his grandparents, Virgil Hird, and James Hird, both of Bradenton, and Clemmie and Lonnie Jr., of Bradenton.

Catherine E. Dorsey, 93, of Bradenton, died June 19, 2001, in Freedom Village Nursing Center.
There will be no service. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Griffith-Cline Funeral Homes, Mansion Chapel, Ellenton, is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mrs. Dorsey was born in Baltimore. She was a retired bookkeeper for the state of Maryland. She was Lutheran.
Survivors include three nieces, Ethel Kline and Betty Milstead, both of Sarasota, and Connie Donovan of Massachusetts.

Paul Russell Fox, 42, of Palmetto, died June 18, 2001, in Fisherman's Hospital in Marathon.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Church of God, 2520 43rd St. W., with the Rev. Ed Donley officiating.
National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Born in Medina, Ohio, Mr. Fox came to Manatee County from Richfield, Ohio, in 1967.
He was a self-employed concrete contractor.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth E., of Bradenton; and two brothers, Kenneth Allen, of Sarasota, and Clifford J., of Reno, Nevada.

L.J. Hall ("L" Cool "J"), 63, of Rubonia, died June 17, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Westside Funeral Home, 704 11th St. W., Palmetto. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Faith and Deliverance Church, 1020 70th St. Court E., Rubonia. Burial will be in Rubonia Cemetery.
Born in Statesburg, Ga., Mr. Hall came to Manatee County from Georgia many years ago. He was a construction worker. He was of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two daughters, Angela Poole, and Annie, both of Fort Lauderdale; an adopted daughter, Tonia Harvey of Tallahassee; four sons, Benny and Willie, both of Fort Lauderdale, and Anthony and Jerome, both of Sarasota; two adopted sons, Marshall Harvey of Marianna, and Verdell Harvey of South Bay; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at St. Andrews African Methodist Episcopal Church, 203 17th St. W., Palmetto. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto. Westside Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lang was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a public school educator in Manatee County for 30 years. She was Methodist. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Survivors include a son, Gregory, of Palmetto; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Frank S. Lux Jr., 84, of Bradenton, died June 19, 2001, in Harborside Healthcare.

Born in New Orleans, Mr. Lux came to Manatee County from Lake Wallkill, N.J., in 1999. He was a carpenter. He served as a carpenter's mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 15031 in New Jersey.
Survivors include a niece, Nita Audino of Saraosta; and three nephews, Ross Audino of Manhattan, N.Y., Keith Jorgensin of Wester, Mass., and Peter Jorgensin of Athens, Ga.

Born in Queens, N.Y., Mrs. Schaeffer came to Manatee County from Somerville, N.J., in 1981. She was the owner of the Shamrock Inn in Somerville for 12 years and she was retired. She was Protestant.
Survivors include her companion, Connie Collings of Holmes Beach, and a sister, Violet Supple of Lebanon, N.J.
