Shirley Mae Pinder, age 66, of Okeechobee, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at her residence.
Miss Pinder was born on Nov. 12, 1936, in Miami, daughter of Howard G. and Florence E. (Sears) Pinder. She was a developer by trade.
Survivors include: two sisters, Patricia Helsel and Angela Cox, both of Okeechobee; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, with Reverend John Glen officiating.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Annette V. Bailey
Annette V. Bailey, age 63, of Okeechobee, died Dec. 2, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Bailey was born June 13, 1939, in Moultrie, Ga. She was the daughter of William and Marjorie (Cribbs) Furney.
She was a pharmacy technician.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by: her husband, Albert W. Bailey of Okeechobee; three daughters, Teresa Winburn of Palatka, Debra Hobbs and Lynn Blanton, both of Lakeland; three brothers, William Furney and Ronnie Furney, both of Plant City, and Tommy Furney of San Bernandino, Calif.; sister, Maureen Helms of Plant City; nine grandchildren; and mother-in-law 'Mom' Arrie Rushing of Okeechobee.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Bass Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Norman Blanton officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the loving care of the Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Philip 'Chris' Richard Christian
Philip 'Chris' Richard Christian, age 63, of Okeechobee, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Raulerson Hospital.
Born July 29, 1939, in Hampton, Va., Mr. Christian had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1985.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
Survivors include: his wife of 16 years, Linda Suzanne Christian of Okeechobee; two sons, Nolan (Pam) Demus Stripling of Pensacola, Jonathan Lon Stripling of Okeechobee and Ricky Christian of Hampton, Va.; one daughter, Tyleia Lynn Norman of Okeechobee; one grandson, Robert Cody Norman of Okeechobee; two granddaughters, Victoria Justine Norman and Alexandria Page Norman of Okeechobee; one brother, James (Linda) F. Christian of Lexington, Va.; and one sister, Phyllis (Robbie) Sue Robinson of Hampton, Va.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Buxton Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at 1 p.m.

Elwood C. Peck
Elwood C. Peck, age 82, of Okeechobee, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Raulerson Hospital.
Mr. Peck was born on Oct. 27, 1920, in Williamson, N.Y.
Mr. Peck had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1983. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, and was a member of the American Legion in Williamson, N.Y. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Green.
Survivors include: his wife of 21 years, Carla J. Peck of Okeechobee; two daughters, Sharon E. (Daniel) Cooney of Webster, N.Y., and Charlene M. Peck of Okeechobee; two grandchildren, Adam Green and Teather Green, both of Rushville, N.Y.; and one brother, Dean (Ellie) Peck of Dundee, N.Y.
There will be no visitation or services.

Olin Lane Willis, Jr.
Olin Lane Willis, Jr., age 33, of Okeechobee, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Willis was born May 15, 1969, in Fort Pierce. Mr. Willis had been a lifetime resident of Okeechobee. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and drawing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olin Lane Willis, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Verlie and Leon Willis; maternal grandfathers, Herbert Kenneth Lawman and Bud Bradley; and aunts, Delores Willis and Doreena Willis Henke.
Survivors include: his wife, Kari Carden Willis of Okeechobee; daughter, Chassie Lane Willis of Bessemer, Ala.; mother, Debbie (Steve) Lawman Bradley of Vance, Ala.; stepmother, Sara Jane Willis of Kalispell, Mont.; three brothers, Randy (Courtney) Hawes, Jr., of Lake Mary, Joshua Robert Willis of Kalispell, Mont. and Kenney Bradley of Vance, Ala.; four sisters, Brandy (Bo) Hawes BoBo of Brookwood, Ala., Stephanie Bradley of Vance, Ala., Sierra Yule and Marion Moore of Kalispell, Mont.; maternal grandparents, Mary and Wesley Booth of Gunnerville, Ala., Geri Bradley of Palatka, Mary Moore of Zolfo Springs and Richard Howard of Kalispell, Mont. In addition, he is survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, from noon until funeral service time at 1 p.m., with John Wilcox and Robert Carden officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Drum Cemetery.

Mary Helen Plumlee
Mary Helen Plumlee, age 90, of Okeechobee, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Raulerson Hospital.
Mrs. Plumlee was born on Oct. 19, 1912, in Honeygrove, Texas. She married Sidney Clyde Plumlee in September of 1937. They spent many years in Albany, Ky., where they owned and operated the Albany Sale Barn, where auctions were held every Friday evening. They moved to Okeechobee in 1963. Mrs. Plumlee's biggest joy was working and worked until in her 80's. She worked many years for D.R. Daniels and later for Frank and Kathy Barber.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Sid Plumlee; two brothers, Raymond Angus and Harold Angus; two sisters, Pete Bartousi and Bernice Waite.
Survivors include: her daughter, Joyce Huffman of Buffalo, Wyo.; granddaughter, Deanna Jungkins of Tampa; and her niece, Romona Knight of Indianapolis, Ind. also survives her.
There will be a private family service under the arrangements of the Bass Funeral Home.

William Richard Hall
William Richard Hall, age 49, of Okeechobee, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his home with his family and friends.
Mr. Hall was born on May 27, 1953, in Kentucky. Mr. Hall had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1984 and he enjoyed NASCAR and golfing.
Survivors include: his wife, Cathy Hall of Okeechobee; two sons, R.D. Hall of Okeechobee and Billy Hall of Detroit, Mich.; granddaughter, Savannah Hall of Detroit, Mich.; brother, Larry Hall of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Joyce Larson, Judy Stempien and Connie Stempien, all of Detroit, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m., at the Buxton Funeral Home.

Arthur Lewis Edwards
Arthur Lewis Edwards, age 77, of Okeechobee, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee.
Mr. Edwards was born on Oct. 27, 1925, in Lagand, Oregon. He had been a resident of Okeechobee for 10 years.
Preceded in death by his brother, Jack Edwards.
Survivors include: his wife, Louella May Edwards of Okeechobee; two sons, Arthur Edwards Jr. and Sidney Edwards of Sea Side, Ore.; one daughter, Rose Marie Edwards of Okeechobee; and one brother, Jerry Edwards of Seattle, Wash., also survives him.
There will be no visitation or services.

Marion Frances Bertram
Marion Frances Bertram, 78, of Okeechobee, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at the Kenilworth C&R Center in Sebring.
A resident of Okeechobee for 36 years, Mrs. Bertram was preceded in death by her husband Earl and brother, Albert Daniels.
She is survived by two sons; Earl L. Bertram, Jr. (Helen) of Ohio, and Charles David Bertram (Donna) of Okeechobee; five daughters, Sharon McPeak (Denver) of Okeechobee, Joan Wallace of Fort Pierce, Evelyn Rhodes (Cecil) of Ferndale, Susan Adkins (Gettis) of Okeechobee and Rebecca Light, also of Okeechobee.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
There is one brother, John Daniels (Betty) of Hermann, Mo., and two sisters Evelyn Richie of Clearmont and Peggy McGushion (Rev. Kevin) of Okeechobee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Buxton Funeral Home chapel at 8 p.m. with Rev. Gene Roddenberry officiating. Private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.

Patricia A. McIntosh,
Patricia A. McIntosh, 69, of Okeechobee, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at the Hospice Facility in Fort Pierce.
A resident of Okeechobee for 18 years, Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by a son, Danny Owens.
She is survived by her husband, James 'Lou' McIntosh of Okeechobee; one daughter, Marcia McIntosh of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Michael McIntosh (Renee) of Cooper City, and Mark McIntosh of Deland. Also, she is survived by two grandsons and one granddaughter - Sean, Rayn and Erin McIntosh, all of Cooper City.
In addition, she is survived by two sisters: Barbara Wajtanoski (Don) of Okeechobee; and, Judy Streicher of Bowling Green. She also has several nieces and nephews surviving.
Mrs. McIntosh was a past president of the Mariah Ladies Shrine Club of Okeechobee and was a member of the Moose of Buckhead Ridge.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, Fla., 34973.

Mary Irene Lamb
Mary Irene Lamb, age 90, of Okeechobee, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at the Okeechobee Health Care Facility.
Mrs. Lamb was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Gateshead, England. She had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1997. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God and she enjoyed crafts. Mrs. Lamb served with her husband as missionaries for 20 years to the gypsies in England, served as church organist, Sunday school teacher and superintendent of a Sunday school in England.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie Lamb; brother, Jack; and two sisters, Muriel and Olive.
Survivors include: one son, Charles (Shirley) Lamb of Okeechobee and grandson, John Lindsay (Donna) Lamb of Dunedin.
Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 29, from 2 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m. Reverend Jim Hudson, Pastor of Church of the Nazarene will officiate and interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Lenora B. Nastasi
Lenora B. Nastasi, age 72, of Deerfield Beach, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Pembroke Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines.
Mrs. Nastasi was born on April 2, 1930, in Hundred, W. Va. Mrs. Nastasi had been a resident of Miami for two years and Deerfield Beach for over 20 years and was of the Methodist faith. She was retired from the Boca Raton Beach Club.
Preceded in death by: two brothers, Loyal Hinerman and Leon Hinerman; and sister, Eva Jackson.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Clinton Metzger of Miami, Laureen and Garry Powers of Lorida, Lynn and Don Moser of Roanoke, Va. and Cindy Robertson and Nelson Pagan of Deerfield Beach; nine grandchildren, Tammy Metzger (Nelson Cruz), Garry L. (Janet) Powers, Jr., Louanne (Rolando) Munoz, Kindra (Joe Wells) Metzger, Dolphus (Jackie) Powers, Betty Lynn (Jessie) Tweet, Jennifer Powers, Donny Moser and Nichole Hayes; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Hinerman of Wauchula, Helen Hinerman of Weirton, W. Va.; brothers, Robert Hinerman of Willits, Calif. and Jim Hinerman of Tracy, Tenn.; and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m., at the Buxton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Basinger Cemetery.
The family has requested that casual attire be worn for visitation and service.

Edgar Daniel Lee
Edgar Daniel Lee, age 79, of Okeechobee, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002.
A resident of Okeechobee since 1981, Mr. Lee had served in the United States Air Force during World War II and was a member of Post 64 of the American Legion in Okeechobee. He had been a principal of Northeast High School in Fort Lauderdale for 20 years, retiring in 1979. Mr. Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. His hobbies included fishing, golf, camping and sports.
Preceded in death by an infant son.
Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Peggy; one son; three daughters; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 until 11 a.m., at the Buxton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Randy Huckabee of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Donald C. Johnson
Donald C. Johnson, age 68, of Okeechobee, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, after a short illness at Raulerson Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born on Dec. 31, 1933, in Wood County, W. Va. Formerly of Medina, Ohio, Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1982. He was a member of the Fort Drum Community Church. Retired after 30 years from General Motors in Parma, Ohio, he was also employed as a school bus driver for the City of Brunswick, Ohio for 10 years. In addition, he managed little league and Babe Ruth baseball in Brunswick, Ohio for several years.
Preceded in death by: his father and mother, Kelsie E. and Alice M. Johnson; and brother, James W. Johnson.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 50 years, Norma J. Johnson of Okeechobee; three sons, Dan (Sandra) Johnson of Ione, Wash., David D. Johnson of Okeechobee and Donald B. (Linda) Johnson of Elyria, Ohio; four grandsons, Richard Johnson of Spokane, Wash., Michael Johnson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Adam Johnson of Ione, Wash. and Donald W. Johnson of Okeechobee; two granddaughters, Amanda Brown of Okeechobee and Jennifer Brown of Georgia; two brothers, Kelsie E. (Vera) Johnson of Cottageville, W. Va. and David Johnson of Washington, W.Va.; and one sister, Marjorie (Ernie) Dill of Connecticut.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m., at the Fort Drum Community Church, with Pastor Jerry Atkins, officiating.
