Arthur Lapp Jr., age 65, of Riverview, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his daughter's residence in Okeechobee. Born May 16, 1936, in Savannah, N.Y., Mr. Lapp had been a resident of Riverview since 1981, but has spent most of the last eight years in Okeechobee and was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 35 years, Marjorie Lapp of Riverview and Okeechobee; three sons, Keith Lapp of Brownsville, N.J., Mark Lapp and Richard Lapp of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; two daughters, Deanna Kielbasa of Okeechobee and Wendy Morgan of New York; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Lapp and Raymond Lapp of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; three sisters, Marion Potter of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Susie VanRiper of Phoenix, Ariz. and Christine Kreiglestein of Waterloo, N.Y.; and cousin, Bob Lapp of Okeechobee.
A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at the home of Rick and Deanna Kielbasa, 15233 N.W. 56 Street in Okeechobee.

Norman E. Padgett
Norman E. Padgett, age 78, of West Palm Beach, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis. Born Nov.21, 1922 in Bell, Mr. Padgett had been a resident of West Palm Beach for over 50 years. He was a member of the Palm Beach Airboat and Halftrack Association. He enjoyed frogging, gator hunting and was a Lobbyist in Tallahassee for the Preservation of the Everglades on numerous occasions.
Preceded in death by: his daughter, Sharon Lee; brother, Truman Padgett and two grandsons.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 60 years, Hilda Amelia Padgett of West Palm Beach; three sons, Mickey Lindsey (Ruth Ann) of Olde Town, Noah Padgett (Jan) of Okeechobee and Danny Padgett of West Palm Beach; two daughters, Bonnie Sue Schoenfeld (Charles) of Lake Placid, Norma Jean Roberts (Robert) of Venus, Evarine Lindsey of Live Oak; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Herbert Williams, Stewart Williams, Robert Powell and Raymond Watson; and two sisters, Mary Dunn and Sylvia Williams.
Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon in the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shelton Upthegrove, Reverend Ron Sanderson and his brother, Herbert Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Basinger Cemetery.

Henry "Hank" Butler
Henry "Hank" Butler, age 75, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003. He was born July 6, 1928.
Survivors include: his wife, Joyce B. Butler; three children, Scott Butler, Kim Morrison and Sharon Lawson; sisters, Lila Billian and Donna Ledoux; and, nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Tequesta on Nov. 13, at 10:30 a.m.

Clarine Lewis
Clarine Lewis, age 69, of Fort Meade, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 13, 1934, at Bowling Green, and a life long resident of Fort Meade. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and attended the First United Methodist Church in Fort Meade.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Lewis.
Survivors include: son, Rick Lewis and his wife Cheryl of Fort Meade; daughter, Lavinia "Bunny" Kinloch and her husband Duncan of Lakeland; one brother, Buddy Rogers of Tampa; two sisters, Hilda North and Bobby Knott both of Tampa; and, six grandchildren.
Visitation was held at the McLean Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 135 Broadway, Fort Meade on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m., with Reverend Richard Humston officiating.
Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.

Kenneth Ray Cornelius, age 45, of Okeechobee, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Tampa General Hospital. Born Oct. 3, 1958, in Cullman, Ala., Mr. Cornelius had been a resident of Okeechobee for 13 years.
Survivors include: his companion, Sandy Harmon of Okeechobee; parents, Edna M. Cornelius and James E. Cornelius, both of Okeechobee; daughters, Crystal and Tiffany Cornelius of Lakeland; five grandchildren; brother, Jim Cornelius of Okeechobee; sister Sherley Weeks of Allentown, Pa., formerly of Okeechobee; and, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Buxton Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m.

Laura Yvonne Long
Laura Yvonne Long, age 33, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at Winthrop, Maine. Born April 23, 1970 in St. Louis, Mo., Ms. Long was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Okeechobee and attended United Congregational Church in Winthrop, Maine.
Survivors include: her mother, Yvonne LaMee of Okeechobee; her father, Jerry Long, Sr. of Steeleville, Mo.; stepfather, Larry LaMee of Okeechobee; grandmother, Virginia Cesak of Okeechobee; two brothers, Michael Long of St. Louis, Mo. and Jerry Long Jr. of Steelville, Mo.; sister Rae Long of Great Barrington, Maine; step-sisters, Nicole Dunn of Port Chester, N.Y. and Christine Goosen of Winter Park; aunt, Elaine Kenyon of Daytona Beach; uncles, Norman Gerren of Okeechobee and Bill Cesak of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Mary Lula Gray
Mary Lula Gray, age 68, of North Fort Myers, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, in Alva. Born Jan. 10, 1935, in Miami, Mrs. Gray was a former resident of Okeechobee. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Estell Gray; and, son, Eston Gray, Jr.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Sue Duchow and her husband, Chuck of Arcadia and Deborah Lynn Robbins and her husband, Carl of North Fort Myers; three sons, Edward Carl Gray and his wife, Linda of North Fort Myers, Danny Eugene Gray and his wife, Pam and Dennis James Gray and his wife, Cindy, all of Alva; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Loren Deal and his wife, Blondie of Miami.
Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 15, from noon until funeral service time at 2 p.m. Reverend Arthur Mahler, senior pastor of Full Gospel Church in Paw Paw, Mich. will officiate and interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Helmut W.A. Reich
Helmut W.A. Reich, age 69, formerly of Sterling, died at his home in Okeechobee, Monday, Aug. 4, 2003. Born Nov. 8, 1933, in Wilhelmshaven, Germany to Oscar Rudolf and Charlotte (Borsum) Reich and moved from Long Island, N.Y. to Wayne County in 1970 and then moved to Okeechobee since November 2001. He served in the Army and was in the Korean Conflict and retired from the Army in 1994 and married Wanda M. (Kaser) in Wayne County on Dec. 25, 1977. He had previously worked as a C.N.C. Electrician for 26 years and was a member of the Okeechobee Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda M. (Kaser); his parents, Oscar Rudolf and Charlotte Reich of Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Terrance E. Reich of Va. and Michael K. Reich of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Debra M. Reich-Swinehart of Cumming, Ga. and Rebecca S. (Jessie) Bittner of Orrville; a brother, Oscar W. Reich and special friend, Vivian Corsitto both of Miller Place, N.Y.; a sister, Erika Conway of West Islip, N.Y. with special friend Bill Kerwin of Bohemia, N.Y.; and, nine grandchildren.
Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wooster, Ohio.
There will be a memorial service at Okeechobee Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Nov. 15 starting at 3 p.m.

Callie O. Roberts
Callie O. Roberts, age 74, of Okeechobee, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at her residence. Born July 26, 1929, in Moore Haven, Mrs. Roberts had been a resident of Okeechobee for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William C. Ashe, James S. Parrish and Bascomb Roberts; and, daughter Arleene.
Survivors include: four sons, Thomas Ashe, Sr. and Howard Roberts of Okeechobee, Wayne Ashe of N.C. and Butch Roberts of Ga.; two daughters, Anita Roberts and Darlene Roberts of Ga.; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters; and, niece, Alice Little.
There will be no visitation or services.

Faye Miriam Eng
Faye Miriam Eng, age 71, of Okeechobee, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at her residence. Born Nov. 14, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Eng had been a resident of Okeechobee for 25 years and was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wah Pon Eng.
Survivors include: her son, David Eng (Sherri) of Okeechobee; two daughters, Sue Ellen Eng and Evelyn Tarvin (Daryl) of Okeechobee; grandsons, Joshua Tarvin, Robbie Eng, Marshall Eng, Daniel Eng and Cody Tarvin of Okeechobee; one granddaughter, Jenny Eng of Okeechobee; father, John Champion of Melbourne; and one brother, Alan Bicking of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at Oakview Baptist Church, 677 S.W. 32nd St., with Rev. Dr. John Keith, Pastor, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakview Baptist Church Building Fund.

Edward A. Kimmel
Edward A. (Eddie) Kimmel, age 49, of Indiana, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001 at University Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. Born April 24, 1952 in Wolf Lake, Ind., Mr. Kimmel was a lifetime resident of Kimmell, Ind. He operated Kimmel Bulldozing for many years, was a 28-year member of the Ligonier Elks Club No. 451; Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club; 29-year member of Sons of the American Legion, Albion; life member of Kimmell Conservation Club which he had served as president; and Loyal Order of the Moose of Buckhead Ridge. Mr. Kimmel was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by his father, Ed Kimmel.
Survivors include: his wife, Liz Kimmel of Kimmell, Ind.; sons, Sean Kimmel, Geoff and Melinda Gilbert, Graig Gilbert and friend, Jill Baker, all of Kimmell,and Adam Gilbert and friend Emily Smith of Elkhart, Ind.; daughters, Jaime Kimmel of Goshen, Ind., Amanda Becker and friend Scott Saggars of Ligonier, Ind.; grandchildren, Caleb Gilbert, Zachary Becker, Elle Saggars, Tori Gilbert, Alexis Gilbert and Taylor Saggars; mother, Alice Mae Kimmel of Kimmell, Ind.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov.9 and Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 at the church. Funeral service is Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at 3 p.m. at Ligonier United Methodist Church in Indiana, with Reverend Jim Farrer of the Ligonier United Methodist Church officiating. Interment to follow in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell, Ind.
Memorials may be made to the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization or Kimmell Little League.
The family requests that those attending the funeral service honor Eddie by wearing Hawaiian casual clothing.

James D. Dobson
James D. (JD) Dobson, age 70, of Buckhead Ridge, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001 at his residence. Born March 9, 1931 in Olustee, to Daniel W. and Willie Mae (Pringle) Dobson. Mr. Dobson was an electrician in construction by trade and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Oakview Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lillian.
Survivors include: his sister, Wilhelmina Kelley of Clewiston; step-daughters, Annette Dobson of the Bahamas, Anita A. Griffin of Auburndale and Adrienne A. Ackley of Jackson, Ga.; three grandsons, three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; nine nephews and two nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2001.
Funeral services are Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at 1 p.m., at the Bass Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Robert Moore officiating.
Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Lillian Johns Bowers
Lillian Johns Bowers, age 85, of Brighton Seminole Indian Reservation in Okeechobee, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at her residence. Born Oct. 1, 1916 in Indiantown, Mrs. Bowers had been a lifetime resident of Brighton and was a member of the First Indian Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Stanlo Johns (Johnnie), Billy Joe Johns and Norman Johns (Debbie), all of Brighton; three daughters, Edna McDuffie (Donald) of Big Cypress, Elsie Smith of Brighton and Terrie Hahn (Peter) of Live Oak; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Johns of Brighton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the First Indian Baptist Church in Brighton with Reverend Howard Micco officiating. Her grandsons will serve as PallBearers. Interment will follow in Ortona Cemetery.
