Jacqueline Darlene "Jackie" Neely
Jacqueline Darlene "Jackie" Neely, age 70, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at Raulerson Hospital. Mrs. Neely was born July 14, 1930, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Paul Crawford and Fordyce Hutchinson. Although Jackie spent her entire life facing hardships, she did not complain or share her personal discomfort and pain. She kept a smile on her face, and was satisfied with simple pleasures. Jackie loved to be "impish" and make people smile by playing the clown. She required little to make her happy and babies made her smile. With her special loving gift for giving more than she received, Jackie brought joy and happiness to everyone, from aging Veterans, to newborn babies and their proud parents. Jackie loved Okeechobee and felt she belonged here. Many people befriended her, for she was a truly special person who touched the hearts of so many and special gratitude is extended to those who supported and cared for her during her many hospitalizations.
Survivors include: two daughters, Katherine Jean Lansdale and Elizabeth Ann Kipp; one son, William Kipp. As a mother, Jackie was fiercely loving, and raised her children to believe that they were the brightest, most beautiful children.
