Virgil E.Connell, 84, of Dade City, died Monday, October 9th, 2000 at Heritage Park Specialty Care Center in Dade City. A life long resident of Dade City, he was a retired rancher and was Christian.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Sessoms and Shirley Adams, both of Dade City; a brother, Everett Connell of Fort Myers; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14th, 2000 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be on Wednesday, October 18th, 2000 at Floral Memory Gardens.
Randy Scott Adams
Randy S. Adams, 39, of Trilby, died Wednesday, October 4th, 2000 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A Trilby native, he was a truck driver and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Guillermina; four daughters, Amy Adams of Mobile, AL, Erica Hand of Dade City, Krystal Adams of Dade City and Daniela Adams of Trilby; a son, Jesse Adams of Trilby; his parents, Harold and Shirley Adams of Trilby; a sister, Brenda Hand of Dade City; and a brother, Gregory Adams of Trilby.
Funeral Services were held, graveside, at Trilby Cemetery on Saturday, October 7th, 2000 with Reverend Stan Burke officiating. The family received friends from 9-11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
Bernard "Bernie" Flaherty
Bernard J. "Bernie" Flaherty, 78, of Zephyrhills, died Wednesday, October 4th, 2000 at home. He came to this area in 1978 from his native Boston, Mass. A retired engineer in the transportation industry, he was Catholic.
Survivors include a dear friend, Joyce Taylor of Zephyrhills; a sister, Theresa Flaherty Atinkinson of BostonZephyrhills; nine nieces and nephews; seventeen great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.
Funeral Services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7th, 2000 at 4:00 PM. The family received friends from 2-4 PM prior to the service.
William H. Downs
William H. Downs, 79, of Zephyrhills, died Monday, October 2nd, 2000 at East Pasco Medical Center. A native of Marshall County, Kentucky, he moved here in 1981 from Roseville, Michigan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills and the VFW and DAV in Zephyrhills.
Survivors include his wife, Aggie; and a sister, Lois Smith of Calvert City, Kentucky.
Funeral Services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5th, 2000 at 7:00 PM with Reverend Steve Odom and the DAV officiating. The family received friends from 5-7PM prior to the service. Services were also be held at Florida national Cemetery in Bushnell at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 6th, 2000.
Nancy Tucker
Nancy Tucker, 68, of Dade City, died Tuesday, October 3rd, 2000 at Royal Oak Nursing Center in Dade City. A native of St. Petersburg, she moved to Dade City in 1991 from Jacksonville. A homemaker and seamstress, she attended St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and was a member of Senior Friends in Dade City.
Survivors include a son, Robert Tucker of Dade City; a daughter, June McPhilomy of Ridge Manor; two brothers, Roger Richards of Keystone Heights and Luther Richards of Zephyrhills; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Friday, October 6th, 2000 at 8:00 PM with Father Lewis Tanno officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 PM prior to the service.
Patrick D. Loudon
Patrick D. Loudon, 83, of Tampa, died Friday, September 29th, 2000 at Dr. James P. Gills Hospice House in Dade City. A Florida native, he was a long time resident of Tampa. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran in the European Theatre and was a member of the VFW and the AFL-CIO Steel Workers and was Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Lilly; a daughter, Sandy Joiner of Tampa; a son, Patrick Loudon, Jr. of Tampa; a sister, Margaret Loudon Jackson of Starke; and two grandchildren, Erin Elam and Cailyn Loudon, both of Tampa.
A memorial service was held in the chapel of Adams-Jennings Funeral Home in Tampa on Thursday, October 5th, 2000 at 11:00 AM. Interment followed at Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37441 Clinton Avenue, Dade City, FL 33525.
Naomi Wright Seaver
Naomi Wright Seaver, 85, of Dade City, died Thursday, September 28th, 2000 in Tampa. A native of Douglas, Georgia, she moved to Dade City in 1925. An avid bridge player, she was a retired Optometrist Assistant and was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dade City.
Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Wells of Zephyrhills; a son, Gaines Wright of Tampa; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held at Dade City Cemetery on Sunday, October 1st, 2000 with Father Lewis Tanno officiating.
Lennie B. Davenport
Lennie B. Davenport, 76, of Dade City, died Tuesday, January 30th, 2001 at home. A native of Oneida, TN, she moved to Dade City in 1940 from Plant City. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City as well as a former member of the Dade City Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Hatfield of Dade City; two sons, Jack and Duncan Davenport, both of Dade City; a brother, Edison Terry of Plant City; four sisters, Nixola Atkinson of Suwanee, Edith Dobbs of Baxley, GA, Imogene Davenport of Brevard, NC, and Nigel Thornton of Brandon; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford M. Davenport and a daughter, Marian Petters.
Funeral Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Dade City on Saturday, February 3rd, 2001 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Bruce Moore officiating. Burial followed at Dade City Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday evening, Feb. 2nd, 2001. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
