Stockman, Diana, 60, of Zephyrhills, died October 9, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. A native of Canada, she moved to this area in 1996 from New York. She was a homemaker and was Catholic.
Survivors include her fiance, Gordon Holbrock; two daughters, Brenda Lane of Zephyrhills and Bonnie Freeman of Canada; two sons, Matthew Lickers of Zephyrhills and Nathan Lickers of Rochester, NY; and six grandchildren.
Edward James Bratz
Bratz, Edward J., 60, of Dade City, recently retired Captain for the City of Miami Fire Department, died Sunday, October 7th, 2001 at home. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he moved to Dade City in 1996 from Miami. He retired in 1999 from the Miami Fire Department. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joseph.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Jean Bratz; two sons, Michael Bratz and his wife, Deborah of West Palm Beach and Timothy Bratz and his wife, Heidi of Palm Bay; a daughter, Tracey Wilken and her husband, Stephen of Miami; his mother, Vera Bratz of Kissimmee; two brothers, Richard Bratz of Kissimmee and Robert Bratz of Pearyland, TX; and seven grandchildren, Robert, Gage and Tristan Bratz of Palm Bay, Zachary and Joey Wilken of Miami and Kristi and John Turner of West Palm Beach.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, October 11th, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Pat Revel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 10th, 2001 at the Funeral Home. Donations may be made in his honor to the Sacred Heart Child Care Center, 32245 St. Joe Road, Dade City, Florida 33523.
Paula L. Moore
Moore, Paula L., 53, of Ridge Manor, died October 6, 2001 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Harrisburg, PA, she moved to this area in 1992 from New York. She was a waitress and was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Joe; a daughter, Angela White of Dade City; a son, Curtis White of Binghamton, NY; and a brother, Sam Ferguson of Owego, NY.
A Memorial Service will be held in Johnstown, PA at a later date.
Leonor Otero
Otero, Leonor, 32, of Dade City, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Survivors include a son, Jose Campos, and a daughter Maria Campos, both of Dade City; her parents, Maria and Argimiro Otero of Dade City; a sister, Maria Otero and two brothers, Emeterio and Jose Otero, all of Dade City. A native of Mexico City, she moved to Dade City in 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Funeral services were held at St. Rita Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2001 with Father Ramon Hernandez officiating. Burial followed at Dade City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2001
Juan Campos
Campos, Juan, 36, of Dade City, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at home. Survivors include three sons, Gabriel and Florencio Campos of Burlington, NC and Rafael Campos of Dade City; a daughter, Maria Rosario Campos of Dade City; his parents, Rafael and Aurora Campos of Mexico; a brother, Rafael and three sisters, Salud, Luz and Carmen Campos, all of Mexico. A native of Mexico, he moved to this area in 1986. He was employed by Lykes-Pasco and attended St. Rita Catholic Church. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church on Saturday, October 6, 2001 with Father Ramon Hernandez officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Frank Hill, Jr.
Hill, Frank J., Jr., 80, of San Antonio, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at East Pasco Medical Center. Frank moved to San Antonio in 1946 from his native Hammond, Indiana. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was the Postmaster for San Antonio from 1950 until his retirement in 1982. He was a Volunteer Fireman from 1947-1986 and served as Fire Chief for the San Antonio Volunteer Fire Department from 1950 until 1986. He was a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge, the Florida State Fireman's Association and Pasco-Hernando Fire Chiefs Association.
Survivors include a son, Frank Hill, III and his wife Bonnie of Clearwater; a daughter, Judy Damron and her husband Bobby Joe of Proctorville, Ohio; a stepson, Doug Rogers and his wife Tylena of Brooksville; a stepdaughter, Judy McCain and her husband Mack of St. Pete Beach; a brother, Raymond Hill and his wife Helen of Brooksville; two sisters, Mary Madalon, and her husband Joe, and Joann Burns and her husband Jim, both of Brooksville; and five grandchildren. His wife of 34 years, Bertha Cecilia Hill and his wife of 16 years, Betty Voss Hill, predeceased him.
A Rite of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2001 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Parish Hall, with Father Henry Riffle officiating. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in San Antonio. The family received friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Parish Hall of the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the San Antonio Credit Union, 12542 Curley Street, San Antonio, FL where The Frank Hill Memorial Fund has been established in his honor. Donations will be used to purchase an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) for the San Antonio Volunteer Fire Department.
Janice Larabee
Larabee, Janice, 66, of Zephyrhills, died September 28, 2001 in Grand Rapids, MI. A native of Brockton, MA, she moved to Zephyrhills in 1995 from Grand Rapids. She was a homemaker and a member of Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Catherine Babcock of Zephyrhills and Danette Van Huisen of Edmond, Oklahoma; two sons, Eric of Edmond and Brett of Zephyrhills; four brothers, Alan, Gary, Stephen and Lance Payne; a sister Parnell Morse; three granddaughters and one grandson.
Robert L. Hunker
Hunker, Robert L., 58, of Dade City, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at home. A native of Tiffin, he moved to this area five years ago and was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Bartow.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Alicia; a daughter, Jennifer Patrick of Bartow; three granddaughters, Katrina and Courtney Patrick and Amanda Cantrell, all of Brooksville; his parents, Marguerite and Raymond Hunker of Dade City and Tiffin, OH; a brother, Victor R. Hunker of Tiffin; and a sister, Charlene "Sue" Mizen of Tiffin. He was predeceased by a daughter, Robyn Cantrell.
A Memorial Service was held at 11:00 am. on Friday, September 28, 2001 in Pelican Hall at the Blue Jay Mobile Home Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 7066 Ft. King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
Lawrence C. Lilley
Lilley, Lawrence C., 81 of Dade City, died September 24, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Olive; a son, Frank Lilley of Lansing, NY; three grandsons, Scott Lilley of Jackson Hole, WY, Todd and Chet Lilley, both of Ithaca, NY; and two half brothers, Carl and Ronnie Parker. He was Methodist and was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a lifetime member of the Freeville Fire Department.
Ervin Augustus O'Neal
O'Neal, Ervin A., 78, of Dade City, died December 6, 2001 at home. A native of Winter Haven, he moved to Dade City in 1959. A veteran of the US Army during WWII, he was a retired Minister at the House of Prayer in Dade City.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Larry of Dade City and Derryl of Zephyrhills; three daughters, Sharla Bailey of New Milford, Conn., Betsy O'Neal of Dade City and Tamnah O'Neal of Orlando; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 10th, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Curtis officiating.
William Ware
William Ware, 71, of Zephyrhills, died Wednesday, December 5th, 2001 at home.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; a sister, Bernice Hinds of Battle Creek, MI; six children; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
