Moody, Nell, 81, of Dade City, left this life on December 29, 2006. Mrs. Moody was born on March 31, 1925 in Pike County, AL. Nell married Claudie Moody and moved to Dade City in October, 1953 from Rose Hill Alabama. Nell is survived by Claudie of Ridge Manor, FL. Daughters, Joyce Pride,(Gene) of Ridge Manor, Shirley Yager, (Frank) of Dade City and Son Gordon of Tampa (Lynn). Nell is also survived by her brother, Billy Kelley of Kokomo, MS, Sister Betty Jean White of Andalusia, AL and Alma Jean Jones of Opp, AL. Nell leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also survived by Bobby and Heather Moody of Brandon, Fl. Nell was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be missed so much by her family and many friends. Nell was a retiree of Pasco Packing Co. Pallbearers will be Tim Clark, Frankie Yager, Scott Yager, Duane Moody, Geoff Moody, Bobby Moody, Kenny Mason and Wesley Clark. Interment will be at Floral Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. At Hodges Chapel on US 301 S. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at Hodges Chapel. Earl Eugene Tweady
Tweady, Earl Eugene, 85, of Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home. He was born October 19, 1921 in Oakdale, IL, to James & Ella Tweady and moved to Zephyrhills 3 years ago from Plant City. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, retiring after 20 years as Master Sergeant. He served during WW II and the Korean Conflict and received a multiple of awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross with cluster. He was an ordained deacon of the Baptist church. A loving husband, father, and grandfather; he is survived by his wife of 60 years: Clara Tweady, Zephyrhills, FL; son: Randy & Candy Tweady, New Philadelphia, OH; daughter Tammie Tweady, Opelika, AL; 3 sisters: Zelma Wynn, Lela Barber, Eunice Pegg; all of Plant City, FL; 1 brother: Sidney Tweady, Plant City, FL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son:
Greg Tweady, and several sisters, and 1 brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, January 2,
2007 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens with military honors. Friends may call one hour

Luis Soto
Soto, Luis, 48, of Zephyrhills, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He moved to this area in 1996 from Puerto. He was a retired mechanic and was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in Dade City. Survivors include his wife, Audelis; four children, Luis, Jr., of Massachusetts, Audelis of Brandon, Jennifer Soto of Puerto Rico, and Caesar Soto, serving with the US Army in Afghanistan; his mother Marcia of Puerto Rico; five sisters; and four brothers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2007. Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
BARRY STEPHEN DELONG AND ROXANNE MARIE COSTELLO DELONG
DELONG, BARRY STEPHEN AND ROXANNE MARIE COSTELLO DELONG, Our lives have been infinitely saddened by the loss of Barry Stephen DeLong, 51, and Roxanne Marie Costello DeLong, 57 of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., on Friday, December 22, 2006, in a tragic plane crash north of Panama City. Along with Barry and Roxanne, were good friends Deborah Irby and her mother Wanda Irby, and John Johnson, their pilot. Barry is survived by his mother, Suzanne Squires DeLong; his sister, Geraldine DeLong Goldman; brother-in-law, Thomas Joseph Goldman; and niece, Megan Suzanne Goldman, all of Panama City; his brothers, Gary Merlin DeLong; sister- in-law, Sharon Winokur DeLong; and niece, Jessica Lynn DeLong, all of Dade City, Fla., and Mark Edwin DeLong of San Diego, Calif.; his sister-in-law, Joanne Iltis DeLong; nephew, Brian Kyle DeLong; and niece, Courtney Elizabeth DeLong all of East Greenwich, RI; and many friends and relatives in Florida, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. His father, Gerald Edwin DeLong, who died December 5, 2000, predeceased Barry. Roxanne is survived by her son, Benjamin Costello IV; and daughter, Megan Frances Costello; her brother, Kenneth Krebs; sisters, Shirley Roberts, Sarita Riner-Cesaroni and Rosalie Larkin; step-brothers, Jim Miles, Richard Miles, Gary Miles and Daniel Miles. Roxanne also has numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and was loved by many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Krebs. Barry was a very special person who made friends everywhere. He was respected and loved by everyone he met due in large part to the goodness of his heart. He always had a smile, and those who heard it will never forget his laugh. Barry was born on December 26, 1954, in Dade City, Fla., where he lived until the early 1990's. He was employed by Zip Fuel, then by the Florida Department of Transportation, where he worked for many years. After moving to the Panama City area to be closer to family, he entered the restaurant industry. He worked at Pineapple Willie's for several years, and it is there that he met Roxanne, his soul mate and the love of his life. Roxanne was born in Baltimore, MD on February 19, 1949 to Gerard and Jeanne Krebs. She was a real estate broker and was owner of Seashore Properties of the Emerald Coast, Inc. She loved her work in real estate, and loved the northwest Florida gulf coast. She was known as a loving, kind person to all who came in contact with her. Barry and Roxanne moved to Santa Rosa Beach several y ears ago and quickly became a valued and loved part of the community. They were married on the island of Santorini, Greece, in October 2005. Debbie Irby, her husband Harry Ivy and mother Wanda Irby were part of a group of friends from the South Walton community who were present at their wedding. Together Barry and Roxanne built a wonderful life filled with laughter, family and friends, and they were partners in every sense of the word. Everyone whose lives they touched will miss them. They were traveling to their home in Guana Cay, Abacos, Bahamas to enjoy Christmas with their friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 6th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church located at 37637 Magnolia Ave. in Dade City, FL. Juanita Holcolmb
Holcomb, Juanita, 74, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in Dade City under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was born April 19, 1932 in Obion County, TN; to John Davidson and Pearl Lynch. She was a nurse, and a member of the Church of Christ in Zephyrhills. She moved to Zephyrhills 17 years ago and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Knapp, Zephyrhills, FL; her son: John Holcomb, Shiloh, IL; 1 brother: Marvin Davidson, South Carolina; 1 sister: Peggy Holdener, Zephyrhills, FL; and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Russell Holcomb; and 2 brothers: Floyd Davidson and James Davidson. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Friends may call from 6-8pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery. Wright C. “Dusty” Rhodes
Rhodes, Wright C. “Dusty”, 81, Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Melech Hospice House, Temple Terrace. He was born August 25, 1925 in Laurens County, South Carolina, the son of Calvin and Mary Thompson Rhodes. He has lived in the area the last 46years, the last 11 years in Zephyrhills. He was a retired car salesman and a WWII Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merilyn D. Rhodes in November, 2005 and his brother, Sam Rhodes. He is survived by his children: Marcy Pratt of Tampa; Wright, Jr. and his wife, Betty Jean Rhodes of Tampa and their children, Grant and Sheena Rhodes; Ross R. and his wife, Susan Rhodes of Cary, NC and their children: Leigh Ann, Cortney and Spencer Rhodes; stepchildren: Roxanne and her husband David Sovine of Richmond, VA and their children, Tiffany, Celia and Austin Williamson, Olivia and Victoria Sovine; and Mark A. Escribano of Milwaukee, WI; his sisters, Billie Steward of Gary Court, SC and Louise Balcomb of Green Pond, SC. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and many friends. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, FL. Detlef Haeggberg
Haeggberg, Detlef, 65, of Dade City, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2006 in Dade City under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Dale, as he was known by
most, was born September 3, 1941 in West Berlin, Germany. In 1967 he immigrated to the United States where he met and married Donna (Dean) Haeggberg. They lived in Cincinnati until retiring to Dade City, FL in the summer of 2006. Surviving are their three children, Troy Haeggberg and wife, Wendee, of O'Fallon, MO; Angela Florence and husband, Steve, of Tampa, FL; Denise Haeggberg-Strouble and husband, Erik, of Orlando, FL; and soon to be 5 grandchildren, Spencer and Ellie Haeggberg, Madison and Emma Florence, and Austin Karl Haeggberg-Strouble. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Dade City Christian Church located at 11800 Windsorwood Blvd., Dade City, FL, 33525. Scattering of ashes will be at Siesta Key Beach, Florida. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Detlef Haeggberg.
Keith Cameron FitzPatrick
FitzPatrick, Keith Cameron, 56, of San Antonio, Florida (formerly of Tampa) died at home, Monday, December 25, 2006. Keith was born Oklahoma in 1950 and lived in Oklahoma, California, New York and Florida. He lived a rich life – In his lifetime, Keith studied for the priesthood, was a rodeo clown, served as a Marine in Viet Nam, worked as a hospital technician, was a cross-country truck driver and a master electrician. He was a Field Service Engineer and Senior Technical Support Engineer for International Power Machines, Invensys, and Eaton Corporation for the past 13 years. Keith also served as a lector and Eucharistic minister for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa for 15 years. Family, Friends, Faith and Service – If four words could sum up a man’s life, these would be Keith’s four words. He loved life – He loved God – and he died peacefully the day after he held his latest grandchild. Survivors include: his wife, Rhoda FitzPatrick, brothers, Tim FitzPatrick and Dwight Newcomer; children, Apryl (Williams) Tharpe, William Michael FitzPatrick, Kelly FitzPatrick and Katie FitzPatrick; grandchildren, Haylee Williams, Colton Williams, Tori Tharpe, Rylee Tharpe, Preston FitzPatrick, Alexis FitzPatrick Madison FitzPatrick and Brady Woodring. Visitation will be at 6:00 – 8:00 Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home Chapel located at 36327 State Route 54 in Zephyrhills where the funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 with Rev. Anna Groves
Groves, Anna, 85, of Zephyrhills, left this life on December 23, 2006 while under the care of Zephyrhaven Nursing Home. Mrs. Groves was born on July 12, 1921 to parents Harry and Lyda Mae Shipley, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Mrs. Groves came to Zephyrhills from Illinois in 1986 and worked as a sales representative for the Salvation Army for 14 years. She was very active in the Zephyrhills VFW and DAV. Mrs. Groves goes to join her parents, and daughter, Sharon Hutchinson, in heaven. And leaves behind a brother Clarence E. Shipley of Collinsville, IL, an adopted brother Neal Holtgreve, and an adopted sister Betty Lusher-Johnson, as well as four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Hernando Pasco Hospice for their loving care and support and her very special friends.
