LeCompte Bolmer
Bolmer, LeCompte, 83, of Dade City, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Heartland of Zephyrhills. He was born June 21, 1923 in Lakewood, NJ, to William B. Bolmer II and Anna LaCompte. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, and a retired machinist for Evans Packing Plant in Dade City. He is survived by his son: Mark Bolmer; his brother: Gordon Bolmer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife: Nellie Eve Turner Bolmer. Graveside services will be held 2pm Monday, June 4, 2007 at Dade City Cemetery.
Nancy Louise Fisher
Fisher, Nancy Louise, 58, of Dade City, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. A native of Rice Lake, WI, she was a long time resident of this area. She was the secretary and youth minister for the Dade City Free Methodist Church where her husband was Pastor. Survivors include her husband, Harold Fisher; three sisters, Rosalyn Titus of Fairmont, IN; Patsy Fletcher and her husband, Steve of Fairmont; and Joanne Stewart and her husband, Steven of Palmer, Alaska; 3 nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Anna Titus. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Dade City Free Methodist Church on Saturday, May 26, with Rev. Darrel Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dade City Free Methodist Church Youth or Music Ministry.
Richard B. Crowell
Crowell, Richard B., 60 of Dade City died May 18, 2007 at his home. He was born October 06, 1946 in Rochester, New York. He worked for the City of St. Petersburg for 30 years as a Systems Analyst. Not only did Mr. Crowell love his family and friends, he also loved his dogs. Survivors include his loving wife; Sherry; sons; Scott Crowell (Lisa) of Wesley Chapel, Todd Crowell (Tomasita) of Altamonte Springs, Mark Crowell (Jacqueline) of Tampa; daughters; Wendy Kossmann (Raymond) of Lutz, Melissa Crowell (Michael Kerr) of Dade City; brother; Robert Crowell (Dolores) of Rochester, NY; 4 grandchildren: Rachel, Alexander, Courtney, Cameron. A memorial service will be held 10:30am Friday, May 25, 2007 at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to your local humane society or the diabetes association.
Gertrude (Romfo) Bevins
Bevins, Gertrude (Romfo) August 25, 1922 – May 20, 2007. Passed away in Tampa, attended by all 5 of her children and 4 of her 10 grandchildren. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Victor, her husband of 52 years, preceded her death in 1997. Resided in Vang, N.D; Taylor, MI; Leesburg, Zephyrhills and Tampa, FL. Surviving children include Jo Anastasia, South Lyon, MI, Betty (Harold) Michaelis, Woodhaven, MI, Doug (Carla) Bevins, Dade City, FL, Timothy (Christine) Bevins, Riverview, MI and Shelly Bevins, Tampa and sister, Ann Marie (Michael) Davis, Vancouver, WA. She served as a Navy WAVE during World War II. She was born on the farm her grandfather homesteaded just five years after the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Had childhood memories of horse-drawn plowing and itinerate gypsy traders in colorful horse-drawn wagons. Was a devoted wife, mother and believed in putting others first, seeing the good in everyone and acting with personal charity at all times. Wilda Slaven
Slaven, Wilda, 91, of Zephyrhills, died Monday, May 21, 2007 in Dade City. A native of Magnolia, MS, she moved to this area in 1965 from Pavilion, NY. She
was a homemaker and was an active member of the Moose Lodge. She was also a member of the United Church of God. Survivors include two sons, Charles Slaven of Batavia, NY and James "Les" Slaven of Stafford, NY; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m on Wednesday (today). Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jack Fike officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.
Benjamin Theodore Gouse
Gouse, Benjamin Theodore, 76, Zephyrhills, passed away May 16, 2007. Benjamin was a logistics management specialist with the U. S. Army Logistics Evaluation Agency at New Cumberland Army Depot, was recognized for his exceptional service to the nation at the annual Secretary of the Army Awards Ceremony held at the Pentagon. Receiving the Army Award for Publications Improvements from Secretary of the Army John O. Marsh, Jr., Gouse, was cited for reducing 156 cumbersome logistics regulations to 9 handbooks. Originally from Mechanicsburg, Gouse began his career with the federal government at the Naval Supply Depot (now the Navy Ships Parts Control Center) in 1950. After serving in the Air Force from 1951 to 1953, he worked at the Ordnance Supply Office, Mechanicsburg, from 1954 – 1960. Between 1960 and 1965 Gouse worked closely with the Pershing and Redeye missile development programs at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. After working two years at the U. S. Army Material Command, Washington, D.C., he came to the Logistics Evaluation Agency in 1967. He was an outstanding pitcher in High School and was going to play for the Cleveland Indians before he was called to the service. He is survived by his loving family including his wife Beverly, 2, brothers Clyde and Floyd, 4 children: Benjamin D., Christopher A., Gary A. and Susan L. Also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Committal Service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, May 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Military Honors.
John Matthew Arnot
Arnot, John Matthew, 45, of Tampa, passed away Thursday, May 17th. He was born September 2, 1961 in Watertown, NY, to John McElwain & Irene R. Sochia Arnot and moved to Tampa 16 years ago from Plant City. He was a graduate of Carthage Augustinian Academy, Carthage Central High School in New York, and the Villanova University in Villanova, PA. He received his degree from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL, the same college his uncle and grandfather graduated from. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Carthage, NY, Ye Mystic Krew of Gasparilla-the Cavaliers, and was a dedicated volunteer with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He was a former member of the Daybreak Rotary Club in Zephyrhills and the Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed snow skiing. He is survived by his parents: John & Irene Arnot, Zephyrhills; his uncle: Dr. & Mrs. E.D. Arnot, Zephyrhills, 4 aunts: Mrs. June Eiland, Zephyrhills, Mrs. Louise VanAs, Zephyrhills, June & Arthur Peck, Syracuse, NY, Mrs. Joyce Becker, Carthage, NY; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister: Kathleen Arnot. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills. Inurnment will follow at Oakside Cemetery. Those that wish may make donations in his memory to either St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Carthage Augustinian Academy.

Coderre, Patricia A, 64, Zephyrhills, passed away May 16, 2007. She was born Oct. 10, 1942 in Sterling, CT. She is survived by her loving family including 4 children, Julie (Mark Watkins) Kelley, Lila Hinkley, Robert (Vickie) Coderre and Christopher (Teresa) Coderre, 10 grand children, her companion Raymond “Skip” Millar and 2 sisters, Kathy (Rex) Records and Nancy (Joseph) Bryda.
