He is survived by his loving wife, Suzen; daughter, Eva; parents, Juan and Jenny Cacho Corrada, and Paul T. and Hazel Uritza Grieshop; brothers, JJ, Paul Thomas; sister, Manuela; and many other family and friends. A memorial mass will be held 11am Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua in San Antonio. Friends may call one hour prior to service time, from 10am till 11am at the church.
Sadie Sparkman
SPARKMAN, Sadie, 85, of Dade City, passed away Wed. April 25, 2007. She was born July 10, 1921 in Moncks Corner, SC. She has lived in Dade City since 1944. She was of the Episcopal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seth Sparkman, in 2002. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda and her husband, Ronald Stanley, and Diane Sparkman, both of Wesley Chapel; two sisters, Rosa Pacetti and Lee Sutherland; two sisters-in-law, Glenna Sparkman and Frances Sparkman; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services for family and friends will be 10 am Monday at Dade City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice, Heritage Park Care Center or the Arthritis Foundation.
Joseph S. Crociata, Sr.
CROCIATA, Joseph S.,Sr., passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean. He is survived by his son: Francis & Anna Crociata, Zephyrhills, FL, Joseph & Susan Brackshaw Crociata, Washington, DC; his brother: Mario Crociata; his sister: Mary & William Ferrell; his grandchildren: Christine & Andrew Baker, Josephine Louise Crociata; and great grandson: Charles Mario Baker; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Crociata was a veteran of WWII, a chef for 40 years at the Rochester Club, Sheraton Hotel, and Runds Restaurant, a lifetime member of St. Philip Neri Church and a graduate of Aguinas Institute. Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday at St. Cecilia's Church in Rochester, New York. Interment will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will call from 7-9pm Friday evening at the John M. Hedge Funeral Home at 1717 Portland Avenue, Rochester, New York. Edward Adamec
ADAMEC, Edward J., 85, Betmar Acres, Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007. He was born February 11, 1922 in Cleveland, OH the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Adamec. He retired as a mechanic for the State of Michigan on Jan. 28, 1984. He has lived in Zephyrhills since 1991. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a WWII Army Veteran. He is survived by his children: Micheal (Linda) Adamec, Gilbert, AZ, James (the late Linda) Adamec, Marion, NC and Cathy (Louis) Barone, Milford, CT; his brother, The Most Reverend Joseph Adamec, Altoona, PA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends, and very close friend Lois Trafelet. He was preceded in death by a daughter Dawn Marie Jones and a grandson, Jamar S. Jones. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. Funeral Mass will be 2 pm, Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Zephyrhills. Interment will be Monday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Church or Gulfside Hospice.
Vivian Thomas
THOMAS, Vivian, 66, of Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, April 24th in Dade City. She was born November 25, 1940 in Detroit, MI, to Levi & Elsie Mae Garrett Summers and moved to Zephyrhills six years ago from Michigan. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James D. & Michelle D. Thomas, Aurora, OH; her daughter and son-law: Judith A. & Robert M. Horvath, Land O' Lakes, FL; grandchildren: Tyler James Horvath and Emma Mae Horvath; brothers: Lowell & Beverly Summers, Dwayne & Melody Summers, Albert & Shirley Summers; and her sister Norma Jones. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Friday, April 27th at the First United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills. Friends may call two hours prior to service time, from 10am till 12 at the church. Larry Lee O'Neil
O’NEIL, Larry Lee, 70, U.S. Navy LT. Commander, passed away April 18, 2007 in Zephyrhills. He was born June 28, 1936 in Newaygo, MI and formerly fromouth Windsor, CT. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy Pilot for 20 years. He was also a corporate pilot for United Technologies following his retirement from the Navy. Larry enjoyed his family, friends, his Goldwing, boat, RV and Honda Scooter, moving to Florida for sun and most of all GOLF. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife Theresa “Terri” O’Neil, his children, Amy J (Stephen) Rose, Vernon, CT, Kevin L. (Anthony) O’Neil, Jamica Plain, MA, Laura R. Edgecomb, South Windsor, CT and Brian K (Ellen) O’Neil, Ellington, CT, and adored his grandchildren, Alexander Rose, Marc, Kellie and Allison Edgecomb, and Kylie and Megan O’Neil, brothers, Richard C (Wilma) O’Neil, Newaygo, MI and Roger K. (Rosemarie) O’Neil, Battle Creek, MI and several nieces and nephews. We will all miss his sense of humor and fair play. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday April 25, 2007 at 10:30 AM St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Committal Service will be held following at 2:00 at Florida National Cemetery. Timothy J. Kassabaum
KASSABAUM, Timothy J., 41, of Dade City and Zephyrhills, died Sunday April 22, after an eight year battle with brain cancer. Tim was born July 27, 1965 in Wisconsin to Thomas H. Kassabaum and Mary J. Miller Kassabaum, and moved to Florida as a child. Tim was a 1983 graduate of Pasco High School, was a security officer at Busch Gardens since 1988, and was a Catholic. He is survived by his parents: Tom & Jo Kassabaum, Weeki Wachee; his son: Jordan Kassabaum, Dade City; 2 brothers: Rob & Dede Kassabaum, Dade City, and their children: Stephanie, Kyle, Mary; Michael Kassabaum, Tarpon Springs; his grandmother: Grace Miller, Waumakee, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home with Fr. Loran Miller O.S.B. (Tim’s uncle) officiating. She is survived by her son: Jim Croom, Ridge Manor; 1 grandson: Jimmy Croom III, Brooksville; 2 granddaughters: Lindsey and Abigail; and her niece: Judith Wright, Cincinnati, OH.
