Marks, Keith Lenard, 93, Zephyrhills, Fl. died April 9, 2007. He was born to Virgil and Eva Marks in LaGrange, IN. He lived most of his life in Indiana, Michigan and Florida. He graduated from Wolcottville High School. He retired from the Pennsylvania Rail Road in 1975 after 40 years as a conductor out of Ft. Wayne, IN. During that time he was also a messenger for the Chicago Board of Trade for 9 years. He was a member of First Christian Church of Zephyrhills. He is survived by 2 brothers; Kenneth Marks, Auburn, IN and Wayne Marks, LaGrange, IN, 4 sisters, Hilda Baird and Vivian Marks both of LaGrange, Carol Wagner, Huntertown, IN and Mildred Zolman, Tacoma, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by 3 wives, Dorothy Wheeler Marks, Louise Rosenberg and Virginia R. Marks and a son, William Marks. Visitation will be held at 10:30 Thursday, April 12, 2007 at First Christian Church. A Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
STEVEN ROBERT HURST
Hurst, Steven Robert, 41 went home to be with his Lord on April 9th, after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). He leaves first but only to be followed one day by his wife Laura and their children Shawn and Lauren. Steve grew up in New Jersey and leaves behind his mother Barbara Hurst of N.J.; father Joseph Hurst of Hawaii, 2 sisters; – Donna Walton and Sandra Beckett ; 2 brothers; – Kevin Hurst and Patrick Hurst and their families. Steve also leaves behind many other family members in the Tampa Bay area and in New Jersey, countless friends and business associates. Steve was a Navy veteran and worked at Celebration Station as a general manager until his illness forced him to retire. He was a member of Riverhills Church of God and served as chairman of their school board in past years. Steve always had a strong desire to minister and witness to the youth of our world. He enjoyed Spongebob, Nascar, riding motorcycles, fishing and just having fun and laughing. Please join family and friends on Saturday April 21st from 10:00 to 11:00 at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City for a Celebration of his life. Wear your Saturday fun clothes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to his wife and children or Pasco Hernando Hospice or The ALS association of Tampa Bay. Barr, Bonnie, 90, of Winter Haven and former Dade City resident, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2007. She is survived by her son, Eugene Barr of Winter Haven, 2 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and a great great granddaughter. Services will be 2 pm Mon., Apr. 9 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 301 Chapel, Dade City with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Frank W. Taft
Taft, Frank W., 87, Dade City, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Hernando Pasco Hospice, Dade City. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 61 years, Betty Taft; sons: William (Nancy) Taft, Robert (Charlyn) Taft and James (Julie) Taft; 6 granddaughters, Diane, Christine, Tracie, Tonie, Robyn and Rachel; 7 great grandchildren. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in North Africa and Italy. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 9 at St. Rita Catholic Church, Dade City with burial in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to “Peggy” Hospice Nurse extraordinaire!
Lawrence Round
Round, Lawrence, 78, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 23, 1928 to Harry and Gertrude in Montreal, Quebec: Canada. Larry was the youngest son of 11 children. A widower, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara. He is survived by his loving family; sisters, Bernice and Lillian; brother, Frank all of Canada; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Delage of Dade City, Fl; daughter, Renee Miller of Ventura, Calif., and four grandchildren; Kristyn, Katie, Jessica and Mark Ryan. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 5th Street Chapel, in Dade City, Florida.
Mary Susan Sander Gartman
Sander-Gartman, Mary Susan, my very loving and kind sister, learned her angel’s wings when she left this world to go be with our Lord in Heaven of March 28, 2007. She was born on 8/12/39 and was a widow. Mary had made her home with her sister, Helen Teresa Sanders-Perkins and her husband, Lloyd since 2005. She graduated from Palmer College and was a secretary for many prominent lawyers of Columbia and Orangeburg, SC. Deciding that office work was too confining, she worked as a waitress and retired to Dade City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City. She is survived by her sister, Helen Teresa Sanders-Perkins; sons Carl Smith and his wife, Carol of Orangeburg and Russell Smith and his wife, Barbara of Jacksonville; grandchildren Charles Latasha, Carlton, Carlee, Joshua, Chantelle, Eric, Doug and Josh; great grandchildren Molly, Allie, Alexis, Reanne, Destiny, Jasamine, and Justin; nieces Michelle, Stacey, Lindsay, Linda, and Deborrah; nephews Chris and Charles Sanders, Jr. Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Dade City later this month.
Helen "Grannie" Sutera
Sutera, Helen "Grannie", born in NY City on June 13, 1911 died on April 3, 2007. She moved to Florida in 1950 and belonged to the Catholic Church. She is survived by 4 children, Carl Sutera of Lakeland, Theresa Culligan of Dade City, Frank Sutera of Maggie Valley, NC and Albert Sutera of DC; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marie Brown. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m on 4/6/07at the 301 chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.

Nichols, Lynda, C., 57 of Zephryhills passed away at Hospice House in Dade City March 30, 2007. She was born in Trenton, MI the daughter of Patrick (deceased) and Dee Raffety. She moved from Westland, MI to Zephyrhills in January, 2007. She is survived by her loving family of three sons, Stephan Martenka, Canton, MI, Nicholas Nichols, Livonia, MI and Michael Nichols, Livonia, MI, her mother, Dee Rafferty, two sisters Karen (Garree) Stephan, Grand Rapids, and Marsha Rafferty, Zephyrhills and three grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, and Kyle Martenka, Canton, MI.

Terry, James C., 78 years, Wesley Chapel passed away Monday, April 2, 2007 at his home surrounded by his children. He was born June 4, 1928 in Williamson, WV the son of Charles C. and Virginia Maynard Terry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Abernethy Terry.
