Sparks, Randall Lee, 44, of Dade City, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Dade City. A native of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, he moved to this area in 1985 from Cardington, Ohio. He was a cable technician and was of the Christian faith. He loved to spend time with his children and was an avid NASCAR fan and baseball coach. Survivors include his children, Kurtis Sparks and Kendra Sparks, both of Dade City; His parents, Robert Sparks of Cardington and Connie Sparks of Gahanna, Ohio; two brothers, Dan Sparks and his wife, Cheryl of Powell, Ohio and Roger Sparks of New Albany, Ohio; two nephews, Ryan and Nathan Sparks, both of Powell, Ohio; and one niece, Madison Sparks of Westerville, Ohio.
Francisco Malacara, Jr
Malacara, Francisco, Jr., infant son of Francisco & Migdalia Malacara, passed away March 9, 2007 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He is survived by his parents, his grandparents: Ramon & Malen Burgos, Alejandro Sanchez; his great grandmother: Almaida Burgos; his sister: Lilliana Malacara; his brother: Luis Malacara; and many aunts and uncles including: Jesus & Eileene Burgos, Maria M. Alexander, Sylvia Malacara, Julio & Rebecca Burgos, Moises & Bhinda Morado, Carmen M. Burgos, Carlos & Debora Burgos, Angel & Patricia, Manuel & Juanita Burgos. Funeral services were held 2pm Monday, March 12, 2007 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City with Rev. Juan Hernandez officiating. Burial followed at the Babyland section of Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.

SKINNER, Elizabeth Mae Ruggles, 86, Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007. She was born February 4, 1921 in Auburn, NY the daughter of James and Gladys Lynch. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Ruggles in 1988 and William Lee Skinner in 2005. She is survived by her brother, John Lynch of Marston Mills, MA, 3 neices and 2 nephews. Services private with burial in Auburn NY later.
Ralph Paul Kulwicki
Kulwicki, Ralph Paul, 68, of San Antonio, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at home. A native of Toledo, Ohio, he moved to this area in 1982 from Michigan. A US Navy Veteran, he was a retired Sales Representative for Pecks Chemical and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio. Survivors include his wife, Gail; a son, Jeffery A. Kulwicki of Fayetteville, Georgia; three daughters, Donna M. Montieth of San Antonio, Lynne A. Dudley of Land O'Lakes, and Dianne M. Bensen of Wesley Chapel; a step-son, Pieter A. Boss of Tampa; a step-daughter, Virginia M. Baxter of Muskegon, Michigan; an adopted son, Pieter A. Bass-Kulwicki of San Antonio; ten grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Douglas P. Kulwicki and by his former wife, Elsie M. Kulwicki. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5th Street Chapel, on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 6-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service commencing at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Henry Riffle as celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date at Florida National Cemetery. Flowers will be graciously accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Jean Beverly Hamlin
Hamlin, Jean Beverly, 69, Zephyrhills passed away March 10, 2007 after a long illness. She was born August 21, 1937 in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Jean was a concierge. Her hobbies were reading and gambling in Las Vegas. She loved her family and friends and said life would be dull without them. She is survived by her loving family including her husband John, son, Mark Stevens, Stoneham, MA, grandchildren, Rory Stevens, North Ridge, CA, Tyler Stevens, Boston, MA, Rhiannon Thibea, Harwick, MA, Evan Stevens, Haley Stevens and Jessica all of Stoneham, step-son, John (Cathy) Hamlin, Palymer Maine, one sister, Barbara (Edward) Murrin, Stoneham, and one brother, Paul (Sandy) Brewer, Zephyrhills. She will be missed. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Hodges Family Funeral Home on 54 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Father Edwin Pavka will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Theresa Timmer
Timmer, Theresa, 93, of Dade City, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She moved here in 1958 from her native Michigan. She was a homemaker and a member and organist at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. Survivors include seven children, Helen Watts of Dade City, John Timmer of Baldwin, Michigan, Marcia Spink and Bill Timmer, both of Bushnell, Terry Timmer of Dade City, Linda Hill of Tampa and Holly Timmer of Lakeland; and numerous grandchildren and great and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee with Rev. Eldridge Parish officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.

Griswold, Helen Gwendolyn Jenks, 84, Zephyrhills passed away March 8, 2007. She was born in Corning, New York. She moved to Florida in 1986 from Warminster, PA. Helen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Stars. Helen was a loving mother and wife. She was loved by all who met her. She was a very giving person to both family and friends. Helen was a pillar to the community, church, family and friends. All that met her were proud to know her. She is survived by her loving family including a son, David (Arlene) Griswold, Longwood, Fl., a daughter, Ann G. Thurston, Montgomery, NY; 8 grandchildren, Jason (Sabina) Thurston, Boulder, CO, Frederick (Sabine) Thurston, Lavonia, MI, Jeremy (Tori) Thurston, Lake Placid, NY, Mark Joseph Griswold, Philippines, David Griswold Jr, Phoenix, AZ., David (Amanda) Cadd, S. Carolina, Wendy (Russell) Kiefer, Sanford, FL, Kim (Don) Green, Deltona, Fl, and 11 great-grandchildren, Katya, Sara, Kiera, Hazel, Mitchell, Bryan, Alyssa, Sean, Stephanie, Dawson and Andrew. She is preceded by her husband, Harold E. Griswold and son Mark E. Griswold. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe sent to Gulfside Hospice or Trinity United Methodist in Wesley Chapel.
Stella L. Tolar
Tolar, Stella, 86, of Dade City, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She moved to this area in 1947 from her native Colquitt, Georgia. A very loving grandmother, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Shirely of Dade City and Betty Davenport of San Antonio; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Patricia Ann McDermott
Patricia Ann McDermott, 64, of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Gulfside Regional Hospice House in New Port Richey after a brief illness. She was born December 3, 1942 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to George E. and Betty May. She resided in Mt. Lake Bellvedre, New Jersey for 27 years prior to moving to Pennsylvania. Patricia was also a winter guest to Zephyrhills, Florida for the past 12 years. Her early years were spent as an LPN at Mt. Kipp in Glen Gardner, New Jersey. Later she was employed with Mineral Technology, Inc. in Easton, Pennsylvania for 31 years as a Senior Analyst/Programmer which involved extensive travel. While living in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Patricia attended St. Phillips/St. James Parrish and later while in Zephyrhills, Florida attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. While living in Nazereth, Pennsylvania Patricia sponsored foreign exchange students from Spain and France for four years; she was an animal lover and cherished her dogs and birds. She participated in the Pocano Bluegrass Mountain Festival and was a friend of the Blueridge Mountain Boys Band since 1970. Patricia also entertained various bluegrass groups at the family farm and events throughout Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Patricia was also a CB enthusiast known as “Panda Bear” and would send her husband Jack out with sandwiches to stranded truckers. Patricia married John “Jack” McDermott in 1973 at St Patricks Catholic Church in Belvedere, New Jersey. Beginning in 1992 Patricia and Jack enjoyed traveling out West and other places throughout the US in their motor home making many friends along the way. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 34 years, as well as Sisters, Colleene (Carl) Schroeder of Bangor, PA, Sandra (Ronald) Cummins of Easton, PA, and Georgia (Emanuel) Robles of Phillipsburg, NJ, two God daughters Amanda Robles and Sarah Schroeder, one God son, David Groff, and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Struble.
