Bertha D. Kimball
Kimball, Bertha D., 80 of Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008. She was born and raised in Caribou, ME. She was the wife of a Career Air Force/ Navy Man, where they lived in many states due to military relocation. She was currently living in Zephyrhills before her passing. She was a wife, mother, sister and friend. She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, George Kimball; her children, Debbie Kimball, Gary Kimball, Carol Keels and Jason Kimball; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Hodges Family Funeral Home, 301 Chapel, Dade City. Services will be 11 am Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
Earline Connell Tedder Rhodes
Rhodes, Earline Connell Tedder, 64, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at home. An Alabama native, she moved to this area in 1960. She worked for Pasco Regional Hospital in the Dietary Department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. Survivors include her children, Wanda Tedder of Dade City, Joey (Melissa) Tedder of Dade City, and Lisa (Gary) Parker of San Antonio; 3 siblings, Ida Green of Sefner, Frances Solana of St. Augustine, and James Rhodes of Alabama; grandchildren, Amber Tedder, Tiffany Parker Ryman, Dakota Parker, Junior "Bud" Alexander, Kelli Parker, and Clint Tedder; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Sheila Tedder and Bubba Connell and by a brother Earl Rhodes. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2008 at the 5th Street Chapel of the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee with Rev. Eldridge Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
Rogelio Moya Diaz
Moya Diaz, Rogelio, 90 years, Tampa, FL and formerly of Brentwood, NY, passed away suddenly, Monday, January 7, 2007. He was born June 27, 1917 in Trujillo, Peru. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Paola Victoria Moya and son, Enrique Moya He is survived by his children: Dolores Escobar, Tampa; Yhilda Castro Moya, Lima, Peru; Luis Rogelia Moya, Brentwood, NY, Marta Moya, Selden, NY and Elena Moya, Brentwood, NY; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 7:30 pm Wed., Jan. 9 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills with visitation a hour prior to service.. Burial will be at Queen of All Saints Cemetery, Central Islip, NY.

Miller, Howard J., 80, of Ridge Manor, died 1/7/08. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Paula; 2 children Paulette and Mark; and 3 grandchildren.
Blanche Matilda Hardee (Doodlebug)
Blanche Matilda Hardee (Doodlebug) 70, of Lacoochee passed away January 7, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lacoochee , Florida October 24, 1937 to Homer and Cecil Harrrelson. Some of her enjoyments were Fishing, cooking, gardening but above all she loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by a sister, Tanky and a son, Johnny. Survivors include, her husband of 39 years, John Neal Hardee; 2 sons, Hugh Roberts, and David Roberts;1 daughter, Lisa Hardee, 2 step children, John Hardee and Julie Jordan ; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and one on the way; 4 brothers, Edward, Walter, Ducy, Poodle, 2 sisters, Sue and Skip and many many family members and friends. Visitation will be held 1-2 pm Friday, January 11th at Hodges Family Funeral Home 14046 5th Street Dade City and service will follow at 2 PM.
Ronald Wayne Patterson
Patterson, Ronald Wayne, 51, of Clewiston, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 in Tampa. He was born November 12, 1956 in Ft. Myers to David LeRoy & Jannice Denney Patterson. He worked for Clewiston High School and the Hendry County School Board for 23 years and had attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Clewiston. He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Charlotte Patterson; 2 daughters: Wendy Ann and Amy Lynn Patterson, all of Clewiston; his parents: D.L. & Jannice Patterson, Dade City; 4 siblings: Brenda Sue McCormick, Wesley Chapel, Nancy Gail Bethea, Clewiston, Richard Allen Patterson, Dade City, Kathy Lynn Mincey, Polk City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Charles L. Downey
Downey, Charles L., 71, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 after a long and difficult battle with Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy. He was a retired Crane Operator with the Operating Engineers out of Miami. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Rosemary and Betty; two daughters, Sharon and Sandra; and a grandson, Eric Downey. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Edna; 2 granddaughters that he raised, Sheri Ryan of Dade City and Sandra (Todd) Varney of West Palm Beach; a brother, Richard (Pat) Downey of Dade City; a sister, Loretta (Robert) Dickey of Dade City; 4 sons, Keith (Ann) Coleman of Trussville, AL, James (Kelly) Baker of Fla, Charles J. (Jeaneen) of Dade City and Rex Downey; a daughter, Linda Taylor of Fla; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Kathy Baker of Miami. We would like to give special thanks to Heritage Park Nursing Facility and their beloved staff for all their special care for Charles and also a special thanks for Gulfside Regional Hospice and their nurses and CNA's for taking such wonderful care of Charles.
Christine A. Chandler
Chandler, Christine A., 57, departed this life on Friday, January 4, 2008. Survived by husband Robert, son Brian Ladd (Fiancé Rita Taverni), grandson Justice Edward Ladd, Stepdaughter Charlotte (Randy) Hammond, Grandson Noah Chandler Hammond, Stepson Marshall (Carrie) Chandler, granddaughter Isabella Rose Chandler, brother Lawrence Best (Maryann), nephews Larry, Joshua and Elliot Best. In keeping with her wishes, direct cremation took place with no memorial service. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, Fla 34667.
Charles L. Sink
Sink, Charles L., 85, passed away 1/3/08 in Zephyrhills. A retired estate broker he was a member of the Alliance Church and a member of the retirement community in Zephyrhills for the last 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Ilka Sink and numerous other family members. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Florida National Cemetery will military honors. I lieu of flowers, donations in his name should be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice.
