BRYKER, James C., 89, of Dade City, died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Heritage Park Care Center. A native of New Jersey, he moved to this area in 1997 from Tierre Verde. He was a retired mobile home park owner and was a US Army Veteran of WWII in the European Theatre.
Survivors include his wife, Alaine; a daughter, Lynn Tepper of Dade City; a stepson, Elliott Tepper and his wife, Mary, of Madrid, Spain; a brother, Tom Bryker of New Jersey; and three grandsons, David Tepper of Madrid, Jonathan Tepper of London, England, and Lt. Peter Tepper of Fort Drum, NY.
Julio C. Rodriguez
RODRIGUEZ, Julio, 22, of Dade City, died May 11, 2002. A native of Guadalajara, Mexico he came to this area in 1992 and was a construction worker. Survivors include two daughters, Yoceeline and Cinthia Rodriguez of Dade City; his parents, Ramon and Maria Rodriguez of Dade City; three brothers, David Hernandez, Ricardo and Yovanni Rodriguez; and a companion, Nilsa Esparca-Lopez of Dade City.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2002. Funeral Services will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14th, 2002.
Walter H. Blount
BLOUNT, Walter H., 59, of Zephyrhills, died May 6, 2002 at James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital. Survivors include a brother; Robert Blount of Caro, Michigan.
Ernest Holmes Joyner, Jr.
JOYNER, Ernest H., Jr., 61, of Dade City, died Sunday, May 5, 2002 at James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital, surrounded by family members. Born in Dade City, he entered the Navy in 1962. He returned to Pasco County in 1979 to serve his last tour of duty and retired from the Coast Guard in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Diana Joyner, DVM of San Antonio and Stefanie Joyner of Gainesville; a son, Stacy Joyner of Sanford, Fla.; three sisters, Margaret Hines of Lacoochee, Pat Pike of San Antonio and Cleo Walker of Dade City; two granddaughters, Haley and Alexandra Joyner both of Sanford; his former wife of 33 years, Joyce Joyner of Dade City; and his companion and care-giver, Crystal Buchanan of Dade City.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 2-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2002. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2002 with Reverend Marvin Strickland officiating.
Ralph Francis Soucie
SOUCIE, Ralph F., 74, of Zephyrhills, died May 3, 2002 at home. A native of Worcester, Mass., he moved to this area in 1987. He was a retired machinist and was a member of the N. Brookfield and Spencer, Mass. Fire Departments for 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Arleen; three sons, Ralph F. Soucie, Jr. of Houston, Tex., Robert R. Soucie of Ft. Meyers and John R. Soucie of Lakeland; and five grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery.
Steve Koptac
Steve Koptac, of Dade City, died Sunday, April 28th, 2002 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Ringwood, NJ, he was a long time Dade City resident. He was a retired business owner and is survived by a nephew. A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on May 7th, 2002 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio with Father Henry Riffle officiating.
Charles Henry Johnston, Jr.
JOHNSTON, Charles H., Jr., 81, of Bushnell, died April 28, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. He moved to this area in 1963 from his native St. Louis, MO. A retired electrician, he was an ordained Southern Baptist Minister and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Masonic Lodge.
A strong family man, he is survived by his wife, Frances; six sons, Chapin Johnston and his wife, Joann, of St. Peters, MO, Dayton Johnston and his wife, C.J., of Roy, WA, Dennis Johnston and his wife, Laura, of Winterhaven, Kevin Johnston and his wife, Brenda, of Lakeland, Charles Johnston, III and his wife, Lyne, of Somerville, TN and Thomas Johnston and his wife, Debbie, of Lakeland; a daughter, Judy Tucker and her husband, Kenny, of Hendersonville, NC; 23 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Andrew Vincent Cline, 90, of Dade City, died April 27th, 2002 at home. He is survived by a daughter, Mabel Carr of Dade City. Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29th, 2002 at Dade City Cemetery with Pastor Chris Christopherson officiating.
Aaron Orr
Orr, Aaron, 39, of Tampa, died April 24, 2002 in Tampa. Survivors include his wife, Cheri; five sons, Aaron Jr., Daniel, Jerard, John Micheal and Zachary and two daughters, Jasmin and Janet, all of Tampa; his parents; and three brothers and three sisters.
Hercules Kire
KIRE, Hercules, 80, of Lacoochee, died April 22, 2002 at Heritage Park Care Center. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Johnson of Lacoochee; two step children, Yvonne Davis of Ocala and Henry Pope of Orlando; and his long time friend, Rosa Lee Johnson.
The family received friends from 4-6:00 p.m., today, at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, April 26, 2002.
Henri M. Francouer
FRANCOEUR, Henri, 72, of Dade City, died April 19, 2002 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Fall River, Mass., he moved to this area in 1988 from Winter Haven. He was retired from the military and was a member of the Dade City Church of God and the VFW. He was greatly loved and will be missed by both family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; two step sons, Floyd Cunkle of Forest City, NC and James Cunkle of Tampa; a brother, Rene Francoeur of Fall River, Mass.; seven step grandchildren; and fourteen step great grandchildren.
