Dutton, Alice S., 72, Zephyrhills, passed away suddenly, Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007. She was born Sept. 10, 1935 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Roy and Sylvia Schlegel. She was lived in Zephyrhills the last 12 years. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Dutton; her daughter, Brenda (Jim) DeGrazio of Kenosha, WI; her mother, Sylvia Schlegel of Zephyrhills, her brother, Donald (Eunice) Schlegel of Salt Lake City, UT; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills with visitation one hour prior to service.
Dr. Emerson David Arnot
Arnot, Dr. Emerson David, Jr, passed away on Dec. 27 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice in Dade City, FL. He was born August 14, 1925 in Crystal Springs, Florida to Dr. Emerson Arnot, Sr. and Louise Marie Dechambeu-Arnot. The family moved to Zephyrhills the following year. He attended school in Zephyrhills through the 11th grade, and then enlisted in the US Navy and served during WWII on the USS Aucilla A 0-56. The Aucilla was involved in operations in both the Atlantic and Pacific. After the war, he was honorably discharged. He then returned to Zephyrhills to finish his senior year of High School. He graduated with his brother and sister in 1947. He attended the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL and graduated in 1950. He then went into Practice with his father in Zephyrhills. He married Joan N. Johnson on June 19, 1952. Emerson and Joan had two daughter, Suzanne Marie and Shree’ Louise. He practiced in Zephyrhills for 38 years. When he retired the practice was carried on by his nephew, John M. Arnot. He was active in city affairs for many years. He was a volunteer fireman, City Councilman, who spearheaded and reclaimed the much neglected Zephyr Park in 1962. He then served as Mayor from 1964-1976. He was then reelected to the City Council in 1976 following a recall election. He was an avid golfer and enthusiastic gardener who was a honorary member of Garden Gate Circle. He was Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Egypt Temple Shrine. He is survived by his wife Joan; two daughters, Suzanne Marie Morgan and her husband, Ray of Crystal Springs and Shree’ Louise Newell and her husband, Michael of Zephyrhills; his three grandchildren: Johanna Bonnie Theel and her husband, Bobby, Jacob Edwin Newell and Tesse' Marie Newell, all of Zephyrhills; a great grandson R. Conway Theel; and his sister, June Eiland, Zephyrhills. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise VanAs and Annette Green and brother, John M. Arnot. Memorial services will be at 10 am Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, Zephyrhills with inurnment in the church yard with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice or St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church.
Albert "Al" W. Cocking
Cocking, Albert “Al” W., 79, of Colony Hills, Zephyrhills and Flint, Michigan, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. He shared his time between Flint and Zephyrhills. He was a retired pipefitter for General Motors after 36 ½ years. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Moose Lodges. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary J. Cocking; his children: Warren (Vicki) Cocking, Flint, Jim Cocking, Flint and Carol (Rich) Baier, Delton, MI; his sister, June Berger, Iron Mountain, MI; grandchildren: Terry, Travis, Jesse, Heather and Renee; two great grandchildren: Kiara and Chase.
Memorial services will be 9:30 Wednesday Dec. 19 at Colony Hills Community Center, Zephyrhills. Additional services will be held later in Flint, Michigan.
Terry "Tennessee" Neblett
NEBLETT, Terry "Tennessee," 57, who was born September 5, 1951, in Cumberland Furnace, Tenn., died December 26, 2007, at Tampa General Hospital. He leaves behind five children, Little Terry Neblett, Tommy Brown of Plant City, Fla., Jeremy and spouse, Jacqueline Neblett of Lakeland, Fla., Windy Semrinec of Bradenton, Fla., and Carrie Neblett of Gallatin, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, David and Austin Neblett and Jessica, Nicholas and Jarred Brown. He also leaves behind four sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and two brothers. There will be a viewing and memorial service noon-2 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007, at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Rest in peace, Daddy, we love you.
Hettie Lorraine Roberts
Roberts, Hettie Lorraine, 79, of Lacoochee, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at home. A native of Tampa, she graduated from Plant High School. Her grandparents were charter members of the Port of Tampa Baptist Church. She moved to Lacoochee in 1965 and was a homemaker and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Harold Frank and by a son, Frank, Jr. Survivors include six children, Linda Schaper of Venice, Marjorie Carrithers of Sierra Vista, AZ, Phyllis Proctor of Ridge Manor, Vivian Garner of Hudson, Carolyn D' Eugenio of Tampa, and Raymond Roberts of Dade City; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Eldridge Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Tampa.
John Radu, Lt Colonel, Retired
Radu, John, (Lt. Col., US Army, Retired), passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. He has lived in Florida 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary E. Radu; his children: Lesli (Christopher) Slike of Carlisle, PA; Byron (Kelly) Radu of Youngsville, LA, and William (Vicki) Radu of St. Petersburg;
his sister, Maryann Rosca of Darien, IL; his grandchildren: Rachael, Curtis, Mary Beth, Raven, Colin, Jace, Robin and Eric.

Richard James Koepp
Koepp, Richard James, 73, Zephyrhills, FL passed away Dec. 20, 2007. He was born May 9, 1934 in Rice Lake, WI. He was an Accountant in the Health Care Industry. He is survived by his loving family including his loving wife, Barbara Koepp, children, Tracy Stowe, Raleigh, NC and Richard, Jr. “Ricky”, Snowshoe, WV, brother Robert, Ocala and sisters, Frances Stewart, Ft. Worth, TX and Yvonne Frankenburg, Wiggins, CO and three grandchildren.

William D. Jeffries, Sr.
Jeffries, William D. Sr., 80, of Dade City, died Friday, December 21, 2007. A native of Bedford, Indiana, he moved to Ridge Manor in 1969 from Shelby, Ohio. He owned and operated Ridge Manor Golf and Country Club for a number of years, a Life Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America and was a Veteran. He is survived by his two sons, Chuck Jeffries of Sarasota, Fla and Bill Jeffries of Bakersfield, CA; brothers Charles Jeffries of Dinuba, CA and Gordon Jeffries of Sebring, Fla; and three grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew and Thomas. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2007 at the 5th Street Chapel of the funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with John Heufel, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
Ida Hay
Hay, Ida, 68, of Dade City, died Saturday, 12/26/2007 at Pasco Regional Hospital. A Pennsylvania native, she moved to this area in 1985. She was a member of the FOE Auxiliary # 4399 and was Methodist by faith. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Frew; three children, John E. Hay, Cynthia Davis and Allison Hay; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Robert and William Andrew Hay.
