Carey, Michael Andrew, 54, Dade City, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007. He was born Sept. 11, 1953 in Jackson, Ohio the son of Michael A. and Thelma L. Cantrell Carey. He was a decorated Vietnam Navy Veteran. He was a drywall installer. He is survived by his long time companion, Cindy Thomas of 18 years, his sisters, Patty Cashman, Barbara Ogier and Theresa Williams, all of Jackson, Ohio and many friends. Hodges Family Funeral Home, 301 Chapel, Dade City in charge of arrangements.

Corino, Rose, 87, of Ridge Manor, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Dade City. She was born February 3, 1920 in Hoboken, NJ. Funeral services were held in Hollywood Florida.
John A. Harrell
Harrell, John A., 80, of Dade City, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 in Dade City. He was born May 11, 1927 in Pelham, GA, to William Franklin Harrell and Hazel Snipes Harrell. He was a member of the Southerland Masonic Lodge in Palm Harbor and was a National Guard Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Annie Ruth Harrell, Dade City, FL; 2 daughters: Wanda R. & Donald Wright, Trilby, FL, Martha Griffin, Dade City, FL; 3 sisters: Sarah Godwin, Live Oak, FL, Virginia Dixon, Camilla, GA, Voncile Sapp, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 1 brother: Willard F. Harrell, Royston, GA; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son: David Harrell. Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Friends may call Saturday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens with military honors.
Southerland, William Irvin, Jr.
Southerland, William Irvin, Jr., 67 years, Tampa, FL, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1940 in Tampa, the son of William I. and Hettie Southerland, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Southerland; his father, William Southerland, Sr.; his children: Debbie (Rusty) Summers, Sharon (Dennis) Jaworek, Cindy (Scott) Clapp, Lori (Randy) Adkins, William (Vickie) Southerland III, Larry (Angie) Southerland, Pete Cunningham and Tim Cunningham; his stepchildren: Stephen, Paul and Betsy; his loving brothers and sisters: Marvalene (Eddie) Singleton, Ruby Lee (J.R.) Foxworth, Darlene Reed, Mimi (Bill) Willis and Marshal (Michelle) Faulkner; 8 grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many friends. He loved the Lord and was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather and will be missed. Memorial services will be 2 pm Saturday, November 10 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. William Charles (Bill) BRIGHTON
BRIGHTON, William Charles, (Bill) 86-Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Zephyrhills, passed away peacefully Nov. 1st, 2007 with
his family at his bedside. He was born in Billings Montana to Charles and Velma Brighton. He lived his early life in Toledo Ohio, then resided In Michigan until 1974 when he moved to Pasco Washington. He has lived in Zephyrhills for the past 24 years. William served 6 years in the U.S. Navy during WWII, proudly reaching the rank of MoMM 1st class. He retired as a pipe-fitter after working for several locals. He belonged to the A.B.C., V.F.W. and was a charter member of the Lenawee County Mounted Sheriffs’ Posse. Survived by his wife Maxine of 59 years, daughters, Barbara Stover/Thomas (Zephyrhills), Sharon/Ted Smith (Michigan), Cathy/Matt Hays (Washington); Grandchildren, William Stover, Vicki Stover/Prachyl, Jason Smith, Justin Smith, Wendy Ledgerwood, Todd Hammack and Brandon Hammack; Great-grandchildren, Ethan, Dhara, Brena Stover, Jacob and Hannah Prachyl, Mckenzie Smith, Michael Ledgerwood, Skylar, Joanna, Tristan Hammack and sister Mary Lou Lipps. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Brighton and sister, Margaret Swindle. William was under the care of Gulfside Regional Hospice. Per his request, cremation has taken place. All remembrances can be made to the Gulfside Regional Hospice, Dade City, FL. William will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dr. Guy J. Kelnhofer, Jr.
Kelnhofer, Dr. Guy J., Jr, 86, Semper Fidelis; one of the last remaining survivors of the heroic battle of Wake Island, survivor of 3 years and 10 months as a http://www.milcompass.com/usmcflags.htmJapanese Prisoner of War in China and Japan, died peacefully at his home in Wesley Chapel, FL on Friday, November 2, 2007. Guy is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dr. Maria Ibanez Kelnhofer; daughters, Maria Kelnhofer and Kathleen (Patrick) Zagaros and son, Guy J. (Andrea) Kelnhofer III. Grandchildren, Kelly Stahl, Morgan and Drew Zagaros and Alexandra Kelnhofer will miss the love their grandfather gave so joyfully. Guy is also survived by his beloved brother Martin (Helen) Kelnhofer and beloved sister. Betty (Robert) Rosinsky. Following Guy’s liberation from Japanese Prisoner of War camp in Hokkaido, Japan in September 1945, Guy entered the University of Chicago where he met his wife Maria Ibanez. Guy went on to earn a bachelors and master degree in Urban Planning and a PHD in Water Resources planning. Guy serviced in various roles including at Georgia Tech and working for the United Nations in FAO in international postings. Guy’s wish to be cremated will take place and will be followed by a future private ceremony and burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Ralph Gene Champeau
Champeau, Ralph Gene, 68 of Spring Hill, FL who was born in Norman OH; passed away Friday Nov. 2, 2007. He was a resident of Tampa for 40 years. Ralph was the son of Marvin E. Champeau and Annie E. Champeau both deceased. Ralph was the beloved husband of 45 years to Cindy Champeau and devoted father of Rhonda S. Warpotas, son in law Edward, Ralph G. Champeau Jr. (Cham), Mark A. Champeau and daughter in law Kristina. Ralph was also a beloved grandpa to Troy, Tiffany, Jacey, Kelsey, Ralphie and Noah. He is also survived by his brother Roy Champeau of Amarillo, TX and two sisters Judy McHenry and Margie Poe of Zephyrhills, FL. Ralph was owner and operator of Champeau Storage and Recycling in Odessa, FL for 28 years and had currently owned Luminus Mulch, Inc., an on-site grinding company operated by his son Mark Champeau. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. There will be a celebration of Ralph’s life at 2pm Tuesday Nov. 6, 2007 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 36327 Hwy 54, Zephyrhills, FL. The family will be receiving friends at 12pm. Burial to follow at Oakside Cemetery.
Sister Elaine Lippolis, O.S.B.
Lippolis, Sister Elaine, O.S.B., 88 of St. Leo, died November 1, 2007 at Holy Name Monastery, St. Leo, FL. The daughter of Peter and Ida Lippolis, she was born July 26, 1919 in Cincinnati, OH. Sister entered the Benedictine Sisters of Florida on July 26, 1954 and made temporary vows on January 29, 1956 and perpetual monastic profession on February 25, 1959. Sister Elaine celebrated her 50th Anniversary in the Religious life on March 8, 2006. She received a BA in Spanish from Barry University in Miami and an M. Ed from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. During her active years she was involved in the ministry of teaching in parochial and public schools in Florida. She taught at St. Martha in Sarasota, Holy Family in Miami, St. Anthony in San Antonio, Epiphany in Venice, St. Paul in Jacksonville Beach, St. Joseph in St. Joseph, and Moore-Mickens Middle School in Dade City. She was also Guidance Counselor at Northwest and Hudson Elementary at New Port Richey. She also was a Home-School Elementary Coordinator for the public schools in Dade City. After she left the classroom she worked in the Guadalupe Migrant Program at St. Rita Parish in Dade City for fourteen years. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Ida Lippolis and an infant brother, Dominic. She is survived by three sisters, Ida May Curtis and Helen Fehn, both from Cincinnati, OH, and Fran Link of Orlando, FL. A Vigil Service will be held 7:30pm Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at Holy Name Monastery. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 10:30am at Holy Name Monastery Chapel followed by burial at St. Leo Abbey Cemetery.
Alfredo "Fred" Ysasi
Ysasi, Alfredo "Fred", 57, of Dade City, died Wednesday, Oct 31, 2007 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. A native of San Benito, Texas, he moved to Dade City in the late 1960's. He worked as a truck driver for Schwend Trucking and had most recently been a handyman for St. Rita's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Maria; two children, a daughter, Melissa Ysasi and her husband, Anthony Losey, and a son, Roy Garcia, all of Dade City; seven siblings, Esther, Delia, Lillie, Elida, Mary, Ray, and Santiago, all of Texas; three grandsons, Anthony Jr., Tristen Alfredo and Cameron, of of Dade City; and his extended in-laws whom he considered a part of his family. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. A Rite of Christian Burial will be performed at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007 at St. Rita's Catholic Church with Father Edwin Palka as celebrant. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.
