McLeod, William F., Sr., 84, Dade City, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008. He was a member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Lacoochee Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Pipefitters Local #123, Tampa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie and two sons, Thomas L. Sr. and Mark McLeod. He is survived by his son, William F. (Kimberly) McLeod Jr., Dade City; daughter, Deborah (Doyle) Johnston, Hampshire, TN; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Services will be 11 am Monday, April 21 at Lacoochee Baptist Church with Rev. Eldridge Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City.
Ernest C. Odum, Jr.
Odum, Jr., Ernest C., 72, went home to his heavenly reward on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mrs. Rowen Odum, and his father: Ernest C. Odum Sr. He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Charlotte Odum; the proud parent of 7 children: Charlene & Bobby Russ, Rhonda & Matt Marble, Kelly & John DeMello, Emma Balha, Susan & Kraig Faber, Christopher & Tracy Odum, Raymond & April Wren Jr.; 4 sisters: Barbara Stewart, Nadine & Hilary Stewart, Becky Lou & Carl Sippel, Ernestine & Richard Finson. He was blessed by 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Odum was a member of the Croom-A-Coochee Baptist Church and enjoyed helping people. He had a very giving heart and liked to share his carpentry skills with those in need. He will be greatly missed by his loving church family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Friends may call 2 hours prior to service time. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12260 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34667.
Darrell John Steenburgh
Steenburgh, Darrell John, 78, went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2008 very peacefully, with his wife of 56 years at his side at Heartland of Zephyrhills Nursing Home, where a resident of only 3 days. He was a native of New York, winter resident of Dade City since 1991 after retiring from the White Mop Wringer in Fonda, NY where he worked for 36 years. Born Sept. 1, 1929 in the town of Mohawk, Montgomery County, NY to the late John and Marion Steenburgh. Darrell graduated from Fonda High School, Class of 1949. Darrell enjoyed gardening (being a farmer in the younger years of his life), traveling, his family and many long time friends. Preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly; brothers John L. Arch; and a sister, Eleanor Crosby. Survivors include his wife, Frances; sons Jeffery and Kelley, both of St Johnsville, NY; a granddaughter, Shelley Waterman of Lee Center, NY; twin great grandsons, Andrew & William Waterman, NY; stepchildren, Michelle & Kyle; Sisters, Betty Havlicek (James), Lois Pettit (Ronald), and Donna Steenburgh; an aunt, Dora Steenburgh; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will take place in Johnstown at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name should be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Donald Edward Storch, Sr.
Storch, Sr, Donald Edward, 74, of St. Leo passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 in Dade City. He was born January 1, 1934 in San Antonio to Edward Alexander Storch and Amelia Theresa Grief Storch and was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired Master Electrician and a member of St. Anthony of Padua. He served as a St. Leo City Commissioner and a San Antonio Volunteer Fireman, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Loyal Order of the Moose, the Pasco County Sheriffs Auxiliary and the NRA. He is survived by 5 children: Donald Storch, Jr., Nick Storch, Jody Storch, Christina Holt, Edward Alexander Storch; 3 sisters: Marlene Sumner, JoAnn Toner, Grace Smith; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Park Care Center for their loving care and attention during these last 6 years. A memorial service will be held 10:30am, Friday, April 25, 2008 at St. Anthony of Padua in San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to the St. Anthony Interparochial Catholic School.

Dunn, Johnnie Bea, 75 years, Cabbott, AK and formerly of Dade City, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008. She was born March 5, 1933 in Summitt Co, Alabama. She was Pentecostal. She was preceded in death by her son, Zachary T. Dunn. She is survived by her children: John Thomas, Jr. (Georgia) Dunn, Tonopah, NV, John M. (Brenda) Dunn, Dade City, Mary (Robert) Fisher, Ward, AK, Helen Louise (Michael) Loman, Dade City, Michael (Bonnie) Dunn, Dade City, Dwayne Dunn, Waverly, OH, James Helen Hawk, Phoenix, AZ, Patricia Barnhill, Lake Wales, Carol McDilda , Chicago, IL, Linda Suber, Dade City; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Sunday at the 301 Chapel, Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City. Services will be 11 am Monday with burial at Williams Cemetery.

She is survived by 2 daughters, DoloresConnor and husband, Chancie, Linda Palmer and husband, Dennis and 2sons, Stephen Migut and wife Susan and Russell Migut; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Moreno , Jacqueline “Jackie” R., 47, Brooksville and formerly of Dade City, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008. She was born Nov. 16, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA. She worked in the family business, Dade City Glass. She is survived by her son, Nick (Betty) Moreno, Dade City; her mother, Irene Harris, Brooksville/Dade City; her former husband, George Moreno and her two grandchildren: Michael and Alexandria Moreno. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the 5th Street Chapel, Hodges Family Funeral Home. Mass will be 10 am Friday, April 18 at St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Edwin Palka officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa.

William Frank Chisenhall, 80, of Dade City passed away April 13, 2008. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Church of God, Dade City. He is redeceased by his parents; 1 grandchild; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice Marie Upchurch Chisenhall of Dade City, Fl; 2 sons, Frank E. Chisenhall of Valrico, Fl and E. Wayne Chisenhall of Croom-A-Coochee, Fl; 2 Daughters, Brenda L. Jessee of Lakeland, Fl and Shanda D. George Elwood Hill
George Elwood Hill, 68, of Zephyrhills, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa. He was born July 17, 1939 in Warminister, PA to Charles and Mable Hill. In 1960 he was united in marriage to Sarah Downs in Wildwood, Fl. After 43 years he retired as an Operating Engineer at International Union Of Operating Engineers. He had a passion for building race cars as well as racing his own, #9 race car. He was a member of the Zephyrhills Masonic Lodge. He helped initiate the founding of the Zephyrhills Moose Lodge. 2 brothers and 1 sister predeceased him. Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Sarah Hill; 2 daughters, Marie (Joseph) Giglio of Lakeland and Cynthia Davis of Lakeland; 1 son, George E. Hill II of Zephyrhills; 4 grandsons, Joseph Giglio III, Benjiman Hill, Dennis Davis II and Cameron Hill; 1 granddaughter, Stephanie Davis. A Graveside Service will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 16th at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City.
